You ever think of how dumb it is to join the Navy when you’re afraid of water? Pretty interesting. I think someone’s afraid to swim. I’m not afraid to swim, okay? It’s just not my first choice.

How I Lost My Shit: I got distracted by the SEAL Team Week prompts in January and then FebuWhump 2021, and then never looked back. I knew this was going to be a more involved work than some of my other fics (I normally write short fics) and I think that intimidated me away from it.
How I Finished My Shit: A fellow author and friend told me about this great event (the WIP Big Bang) and I knew it would be a big push to help me finish this. And it worked - although I still procrastinated right to the end!

So I’m finally catching up with Seal Team, I just watched 3x11 and I have the hots for Blackburn now 😂😍
How come no one writes about him… 😭😭😭
The Bet
They were all together at the pool table and Sonny had spent the last hour trying to convince one of the guys to be his wingman, but neither Clay, nor Jason were up to it.
“Should I be offended Sonny never asked me to be his wingman?”- asked Eric to Ray
“Come on boss”- answered Sonny instead -“I never saw you, even remotely, trying to hit on a girl… I mean do you even remember how to?”- he joked making everyone laugh.
“You know what…”- Blackburn chuckled -“Let’s see if I can pick a girl up, but if I do, you pay for everyone tonight. How that sound? You wanna take that action?”
“You know I’m game, but if you don’t you gotta pay for my drinks for a month, work day excluded”
Everyone stared at them in shock.
“Deal… now let’s see”- Blackburn looked around the room -“What about her?”- he said while looking at a girl sitting a the bar. She was drinking while laughing with the bartender
“Boss are you playing to win or to lose? Because let me tell you there is no way you are gonna get a girl like that”- Sonny smirked certain of his victory
“Go big or go home, right?”- Blackburn said while starting to head to the counter
“She is going to eat him alive”- said Sonny to the guys
“I don’t know, I think the man got a shot”- Jason smirked while looking at Blackburn
You were sitting at the counter, laughing with your friend. You hadn’t seen him in a while and it seemed that the only time you could was when he was working.
You could hear people screaming and laughing behind you but you weren’t paying them any mind: you had given up the chance to spend the night with your boyfriend to be able to catch up with your friend and you were going to make the most of it, at least until someone came looking for a drink
“Mind if I sit?”- you heard a deep voice behind you and you turned looking at the man confused.
“Sure”- you said while frowning a little bit. you heard laughing and wowing and when you looked, you saw a group of men obliviously looking at you two.
“Sorry about them”- he said before asking to your friend to refill both your drinks - “So, I’m sorry if I’m bothering you, which I’m pretty sure I am, but you see my friend Sonny, the one with the pool stick over there? Well he’s pretty sure I couldn’t pick up a girl like you”
“A girl like me?”
“You know… beautiful, even though I’m not sure that’s the word he’d used to describe you”
“Mmhh… I see and what would you like me to do about that?”- you smirked before taking him by his shirt and kissing him. You could hear his friend Sonny screaming ‘What’’ but you didn’t care, all you could think about were his lips.
“Come on”- said Eric once you stopped to breath.
You both went back to his friends, they were staring at you and you couldn’t help but chuckle
“Hi Jason”- you said and everyone else started screaming again
“Hey Y/n, how are you?”- he softly hugged you
“Ok what’s going on?“- asked Ray
“Guys, this is Y/n, my girlfriend”- said Eric and you could see everyone trying to make sure they heard right
“Wait what?”- Sonny said again
“Well anyone’s thirsty? Sonny is paying tonight”- Blackburn laughed
“No no, the bet is not valid. I didn’t know she was your girl, you tricked me”- Sonny wasn’t having any of it
“It’s not my fault you didn’t have all the info. I pointed her but I asked if you were ok with it. You could have told me to choose someone else”
“So you would have hit on some other girl, if Sonny said so? And mind your answer mister, you’re so close to sleep on the couch tonight”- you couldn’t wait for his answer
“ I mean… it would have been for the bet… But let’s see what everyone else think about the bet, so guys what do you say?”
“Sonny pay up”- everyone screamed and you laughed
You spent the next half hour getting to know the guys, they were your boyfriend’s family and you were happy to finally know them.
“So I gotta ask, are you sure about Blackburn? Because you seem too much for him. No offense Blackburn of course”- Sonny said after a while
“None taken”-Eric shrugged, he knew he got lucky with you
“And who do you think would be my type?”- you joked
“Well I mean”- he said while pointing at himself
“Oh honey… you couldn’t handle me”- you winked at him before kissing Eric’s cheek.
I basically wrote this for myself, let’s be honest… and I wrote it in like half an hour, so it’s probably a mess but I’m putting it out there
