my redesign for Padme because she should've been Asian and there are a lot of reasons why she should've been Desi specifically.. like the fact her and her family's names were Desi.. anyway I headcanon her Indian with Mongolian ancestry because Star Wars drew a lot from East Asian cultures for overall Naboo design and specifically Mongolian w/ some of Padme's outfits.. anyway I'll not rant about this rn

"Anar"- Part One
Part 1 of a three-part series I'm doing! Thought it'd be fun to try and do more storytelling through art. I really like how the pomegranate and candle came out, but not so much the knife and hands- I was gonna put mehndi on her fingers and then I forgot :(
"Anar" means pomegranate in Urdu. I don't want to spoil the story cause everything will make sense when I finish the other two parts and put all three together, but I wanted to do something a bit more gothic/horror.. which this piece may not seem like.. yet :)
"Anar" Part 2!
This took absolutely forever because I decided to draw the most ornate mirror I possibly could. This is the second part in the anar series.. I'm gonna put all three pieces together once I finish the third one! Same character from the last piece of course & I think the story should make slightly more sense now. The pomegranate was never a pomegranate to begin with.. but she was trying to convince herself it wasn't what it was, and only the mirror would reveal the cold truth. Part 3 shouldn't take nearly as long as this did and I'm excited for y'all to see the pieces all together :)
