Hakuba Saguru is a Conspiracy Theorist
Every detective show needs an unhinged conspiracy guy and Hakuba is the dcmk one.
His parents encouraged him to become a detective so that he would stop with his wild conspiracy theories but instead that just made him go even more wild.
He absolutely believes in aliens and the supernatural. Akako only encourages him when she finds out that he believes in magic.
Together the two come up with the most batshit crazy stuff.
Some of his unhinged theories he believes are -
Kaito and Shinichi are dopplegangers
Haibara is an android
Katio is a shapeshifter (into doves)
Sonoko is a dragon
Heiji is an alien
Kpop contain auditory compulsion
And so much more. (Feel free to add more)
He has a whole room where he has a evidence board, where he connects random shit with pins and string.
Honestly it feels like the reaction of the fandom is less "omg I got to delete my fics how horrible anyone wrote that" and more "FUCK YOU I refuse to accept that as canon everything we wrote will stay online also where is the kaishin fic I started writing 5 years ago" just out of sheer spite and im here for it
