Found this brilliant bar in Cologne called My Lord, described in all the English language guides as being “for gay seniors and their admirers”. It was a wet dark Monday night but the bar was packed, with a jukebox playing some 80s gems I’ve not heard in years. Older gay guys easily outnumbered the younger blokes and everyone seemed very happy with that - unlike the self conscious ageism you can get here in London. Cologne’s whole scene was really friendly but we got the warmest welcome here - I left wanting to open an east London branch of My Lord immediately, heh heh.
