I don't intend to come off as nosy or pushy, but I noticed you've been offline a lot and I'm wondering what you're up to that you're so busy. Excuse me if it's too personal, I'm just curious!

Nah it's not too personal to talk about, I just don't talk about my life much online.

Recently I was hired for 2 jobs but finished one this past week that involved a major car company. I have a contractual position with an aerospace company that I will wrap up this month, as well as trying to move soon to move onto working to a third full time job with a virtual reality systems company. It's really hectic since my lease is up by the month's end as well.

Hm... I wish you had asked me this off anon because I don’t feel comfortable putting my home address out there in the open for lots of people to see. I do indeed have a resume that lists my address ( for career purposes), but it’s currently outdated- so I will need to update that. Thanks for reminding me! I will see to updating that soon.

Yup! He spawned an entire snow-covered Christmas 'tree’ out of light and snow, in the last comic I made of him.. if you want to know what else he can do with it, he can do similar things as he can with soldified light. A few examples including making ice sculptures or stairs, freezing over things... Instant ice cream?

Depends on how focused I am/how detail the art is? I’ll try my best to list what I can do. I dunno why people are interested in my speed because I’m slow in terms of posting any form of art.

Art Speeds (approximate)

Pixel Art. Time is variable depending on details, animated or not, etc. 10min-1 hour

Comics. depending on details again, 20min for sketch comic up to 5 hours for full color/polish.

Digital Paintings/Illustrations. 30 min-1 hour for simple character/simple BG, 5 hours-16 hours for anything above and beyond that depending on detail

Hand-Drawn 2D Animation. Several hours for a short clip. Full color animation for 1 minute will probably take me a week or two.

Video Compositing (assuming images are ready), several hours to a day or two.

3D Model. depends on what I’m modelling. A vehicle will probably take anywhere from 1-3 hours. Architecture also depends on exterior or interior. Several hours. Characters is relatively untouched (allergic) territory for me, so I dunno. 

3D Animation. a semi-complex short will probably take 1 -3 days to piece and render together? (this is assuming the model is rigged and everything is set up, like lighting and environment )

Hi guys, sorry I never seem to answer asks publicly anymore (I have done back and forth on some private/non-anon ones), some of these asks are super old (up to 3 months) and I just kept them in the backlog because my mind is constantly tired.

I accumulated a lot of new followers recently- So a warm welcome to those who are new to my blog!

Thank you Supaki! I’m really glad to hear you enjoy my UTAU and audio work, I worked hard to make sure they sound distinct and memorable both in song choice and stylization. I will keep making things when I get the chance, for sure!

Thanks! It depends on how you define “soon” ;[ lol. A lot of things actually have been coming up in my life so I thought a little while ago that I was able to do it soon, only to find out that other shit has to be resolved first. You still might have to wait for a bit but I still intend on getting to it as soon as some things get ironed out.

Shamefully, no, because my Chinese is so rusty due to lack of opportunities to use the language. In addition to that, I am not familiar with a whole lot of Chinese music (on top of that, ones I strongly like enough to cover myself). I would like to someday though.

I have never read Homestuck, sorry!

I imagine he types relatively formally (Doesn’t use shorthand much unless there are terms that have abbreviation) but might occasionally omit some punctuation. He’s a lot more particular about keeping capitalization.

Magnus can draw diagrams and he can use scientific instruments. 

In all seriousness though, I think in terms of drawing, he captures shapes/general idea type things very well. Probably has a wispy but confident line stroke.

In terms of music instruments, he hasn’t received formal training or anything for any particular instrument, but he does have a loose conceptual understanding of music notes and what sounds pleasing to the ear. Somehow I imagine he’s good with rhythm and percussive stuff.

Oh man, I didn’t even notice that because I don’t check my own Tumblr that often, I have no idea how that order even happened, and it implicates I made 2 counting errors when numbering these more recent ones somehow... Anyways, the order should be fixed now, thanks for the heads up!

I really apologize for not responding to this immediately, partially because, I was not really sure how to respond to such a message... 

I thank you for reaching out to say something so heartfelt towards me. At the time I received this message, I was very touched and I still am. I’m happy you have followed me for awhile for my art and continue to want to see me advance with it.

I think there’s a disconnect between how I see myself and how people see me, because I’m definitely not as sociable as you say I am. I guess I might come across as such based on how I tend to act towards others when I say something to people, but in reality I’m somewhat introverted/shy, and especially in person, I’m pretty quiet.  

I truly hope that the situation of you not having that much longer to live, isn’t the case for you. I don’t know what condition you are going through, or suffering at this moment, but I hope you are able to make a recovery from it. (I am assuming it is a terminal/fatal illness of some type. I might be wrong though.)

Anyways.  I wish I knew who you are so I can thank you properly. But, nonetheless, thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments. I really appreciate it.

Last set of questions answered before I disappear off the grid for a short while. I’m going back to see my family and dog! Ya’ll wild, my message inbox keeps getting flooded after the Sansloid post.

@estrescogitans​ :  If you’re talking about reposting the audio on Tumblr as a new original audio post (?), I would prefer that you do not, since the reblog system exists for a reason! If you meant using it as an audio track BGM for your Tumblr blog, I’m fine with that. And if you meant... posting it on a blog that isn’t Tumblr, I’m completely fine with that since you said you would link back/credit. (tried to cover all the grounds here..)

Sans Cover art: Oh, no, I didn’t post the cover art by itself, since it was just a really quick doodle but I can post it as a standalone picture thing!

Caeles / Sans Voice: Whoa, I never actually made that connection LOL. That’s really interesting! It’s funny because Caeles has been compared to Sans before, but more in the personality department rather than the voice. They both have deep voices, but I think Caeles is a bit more older/rugged sounding than Sans is. I would imagine Sans’ actual UTAU voice to be smoother/younger than Caeles but around the same level of deepness. For those who don’t know, Caeles is one of my actual UTAU voicebanks and original characters. You can hear him here. Or here.

People asking for UTAU Sans Voicebank/MP3 DL @vgdcmario @fadedrxbbon: Already answered here and why I cannot give it out. The Audio Post also has the MP3 download link now. But I’ll link it again here.

Future UTAU Covers, with Flowey or Alphys: M-maybe. I wasn’t actually planning to do too many more unless a cool idea struck. I do like Outer Science idea and Flowey actually has more voice clips to work with, so I might fiddle around with that later when I have some time.

@until-suddenly--everything-ends OTO advice: Oh god, configuring OTO.ini is a tricky thing to explain especially to new people, but I can screencap what my OTO for sansloid looked like. I used the TIPs resampler for him so it stretches the sample, rather than loops it.

 I set everything as the same thing with slight adjustments for notes that go on longer in the specific song.

See this first OTO setting? This will enable him to sing notes longer.

This second type of configuration will allow you to hear the rest of the “drawl” in the sound clip. Better for short notes. (Bear in mind that these aren’t meant to be the end-all configuration for じゅ or か specifically, just adjusted based on the song.)

But otherwise, the red and green lines should stay relatively close to the start of the sound. Red line is where the “consonant” hits (in this case, Sans has none, so I just set it generally in the beginning.) The green line is how much you want the sound to overlap. Because his one clip is harsh, it actually doesn’t work too well with more overlap. The pink section will specify where the sound stretches or loops (depending on the resampler) so I set it over a stable part of the sound. The purple-blueish part is where you want the sound to cut off.

Hello steel I noticed that you haven't posted colored pictures of Denki Sai for a long time.So I have a question:What color is his monitor case?This confused me when I want to create fanarts about him and every time he looks a different color.It also looks different from different fans.According to the existing pictures,is it Black&Dark grey plastic or Metallic color like Silver？Or even White?I have been curious about this question for a while,I hope you can solve my doubts

Thanks for reaching out. The most up to date standing art I have of him is on his UTAU page.

To answer your question simply, his monitor casing is a type of plastic and medium-gray. There's shine, but it's meant to be about the same level of plastic hard-shell reflectivity. A metal casing would be heavy on one's head.
