Student Memes - Tumblr Posts

I think it's really sad to see so many graduating kids being told that they can't wear items that represent their heritage/identity. Like, imagine, right before walking on the stage you are being told to remove an Eagle feather, or a sash with your flag on it, or even being denied to wear a dress.

I understand there are dress codes as well, (wear your cap and gown, of course, and dress formally.) But in some cases, students can't even afford these things. I'm glad there was a teacher who lent his shoes to a student so he could walk the stage, and it's nice that said they would be revising the dress code, but what do you do if you're being denied with maybe 30 minutes to spare? What do you do even if you are granted permission to wear these things but they suddenly change their minds?

These grads have worked their butts of for a sheet of paper saying "Congrats! You've survived completed high school!" but you're going to deny them of that over an accessory?

Education, even till the end, is flawed.
