Sundew is self-conscious about her gold scales; she associates glitter and jewelry with spoiled HiveWings and ditzy airheads so she thinks they make her look stupid and un-intimidating
Of course Willow won't stand for that
She loves peppering little kisses all over Sundew's face, wings, shoulders, neck, and pretty much anywhere else her gold scales are
She also makes her own jewelry using whatever yellow things she can find in the forest, like flowers and sometimes bugs
(that's one kind of unrelated headcanon of mine - LeafWings, and maybe RainWings too, use dead insect shells and stuff to make earrings, rings, bracelets, etc)
Sundew will look for literally ANY excuse from her mother to go on a mission that will keep her away from the village, so she won't have to wait until night to see Willow
She'll go out hunting for a *long* time almost every day and Belladonna and Hemlock just dismiss it as her being in a rebellious teenage phase and sulking around avoiding everyone
Because of her meet-ups with Willow, Sundew's sleep schedule is FUCKED
Whenever Sundew summons up flowers for her, Willow will insist on making flower crowns for each other
If they were humans they'd definitely braid flowers in each other's hair
Knowing the only reason she was born is vengeance can be a little hard on Sundew sometimes. She's pretty good at hiding her real emotions under a mask of anger, but if Willow asks her what's wrong, she will collapse
She's always felt deep down that her parents don't love her, which gives her a paralyzing fear of abandonment
Most of the time, however, she feels genuinely confident in herself. An absolute bad bitch, she is
Being with Willow raises her self-esteem by a LOT. Before they had met, the only thing Sundew felt confident in was her leafspeak
Willow helps her with that, too! She teaches Sundew how to treat the plants with love instead of ordering them around like a war general
"you have to be kind to them, Sundew. treat them like a friend! don't just use them to get what you want."
They sleep tangled up in each other, like cats
Sundew isn't normally prone to physical affection, but with Willow, there is so much. just kisses and hugs and cuddles and touching all the time
And pet names!!!! god I'm obsessed with pet names
The ones they use the most are sweetheart, honey, darling, and of course, "forever dragon" and "light of my life"
Willow likes to call Sundew "my treasure" because of her scales
Sundew calls Willow "petal"
She likes tracing the little leaf shapes on Willow's underbelly
"Sundew, that tickles!"
"Yeah, it tickles when you do that to my gold scales, too, but you don't hear me complaining"
