Listen, I'm not saying that Topher is a better character than Chris (even though he is but moving on) but host wise, he would absolutely be better. I mean tbf, I don't think Topher would be putting his contestants in near-death situations every single day. Now that's not to say he wouldn't choose a specific day to put them in near-death situations. He'd probably pick like... tuesday or something.
