again most of these are not connected and probably a mishmash of other people’s hc’s that i’ve absorbed as my own, and there will probably be some angst instead of 100% soft dad!martin because its more fun this way (:

warning that this does get Long so uhhhh long post warning

-I typically imagine his kid being the result of the Sanguinite Days where uhhhh you get the idea of what happened. Basically martin has no idea he even has a kid much less who the mother is

-HoK, fresh from the sewer, figures it would be easier to carry the amulet of kings around their neck instead of in their bag, completely unaware that only those of the dragonblood can do this. Jauffre sees them pull it from their neck and he feels all the blood drain from his face like “by the nine there’s another one”. He tries to weasel out all the information he can about their parents without alerting them that anything is off

-Martin first seeing the HoK and just feeling this instant connection with them, like he’s known them forever, but also this gut wrenching fear that they won’t make it out alive.

-Jauffre trying to calmly tell Martin that he thinks the HoK is Martin’s child, and Martin just feeling his world collapse under the sheer guilt of it all. for not being there for them as a child, for making them become the hero of kvatch and save him when it should have been him protecting them, for everything that is going to happen. 

-Them both trying to tell the HoK that martin is probably their dad, and going through all the stages of grief in the span of 5 minutes. it wasn’t an easy conversation, and the HoK comes to (eventually) accept that it wasn’t martin’s fault he wasn’t there for them, nor can he be blamed for who he is

-once they get past all the grief and angst, now comes the Fun (with some mandatory angst)

-dad martin always making sure the HoK gets enough sleep and eats well while at cloud ruler, letting them vent to him and tell stories about their adventures. martin making sure the HoK is bundled up and warm before leaving on adventures, with their pack filled with homemade snacks, potions, and all kinds of necessary and probably unnecessary supplies because martin is an overworrying parent who is trying to make up for years of not being there, also because he has to send his kid into life threatening danger daily and this is the only way he thinks he can protect them

-dad martin berating the HoK for the unnecessary risks they take because he is absolutely terrified for them, but eventually comes around and apologizes and explains that his behavior was unacceptable but that he is just afraid for them

-dad martin throwing himself into his work trying to read the mysterium xarxes because he also sees this as the other way he can protect the HoK because if he figures this out faster, then they can come home sooner

-nights around the fireplace where they huddle up together and talk about their pasts. the HoK talking about their childhood and their mother, martin talking about his years as a priest and his own childhood. both pretending that the oblivion crisis isn’t going on and that their lives will be normal once this is done

-martin lives au where the HoK still goes around traveling while their dad is emperor, keeping a relatively lowkey profile while traveling, but just bursting into palace like “GUESS WHO’S HOME” and martin just running to go hug them

those are my main hc but i also have ones that just kinda float around like

-HoK not knowing martin is their dad but jauffre and martin both knowing and trying desperately to keep it a secret, but the HoK starts seeing martin like a parent and will jokingly be like “okay thanks DAD” and jauffre and martin both just O.O

-dad martin learning that his kid was in PRISON???? what in oblivion were you in PRISON FOR??? and the hok just being like “oh no i have disappointed the Father”

-martin never sleeping well when the HoK is out adventuring, so the HoK starts sending (highly embellished) letters to their dad so he knows they’re still alive and well (because telling him the absolute truth would give him and aneurysm)

-HoK sacrificing themself because they know the empire needs martin alive as their emperor more than it needs some no-name adventurer, taking and destroying the amulet before martin can. martin making at least weekly visits to the temple of the one to speak with his child, tell them how much he loves and misses them, how proud he is of their bravery but how sad he is that they felt it was required of them. he’s the only person to ever receive a blessing from the statue

-Martin sacrificing himself because he was never able to provide for his child all their life and if sacrificing himself is the only way he can save his child (also the empire but whatever), then so be it. HoK, who had been kept a secret and the only people who knew were all dead, not even trying to convince the elder council that they were a Septim and just running away.

-(alternatively, HoK who wasn’t kept a secret being forced to ascend to the throne and trying to rule justly and fairly, in honor of their father)

Man I'm really simping that dragon god of time, maybe its just me but i fucking love golden dragon also I often sees his elven or human like form as a really hot olden gentleman... Watching Akatosh in Oblivion revived my love for kaiju as well. He's so badasss and just ahbdhubuduwudiqkqkhdi.... Perfection

Oblivion with texture mods and some graphics mods still get 30-5 FPS in the imperial city even tho i have the FREAKING RTX 3050TI. If anyone is confused, no it's not your PC fault, you don't actually need NASA computer to run modded TES. It's just all TES games are inherently badly optimized and broken. If your game doesn't crash at least once

Something is very wrong with it, you might want to take your TES to the vet
