The Horned King Marriage Headcannons

I think, after he manages to recover from the revelation that yes, you BOTH want to tie the knot and he's not daydreaming in a cellar full of skeletons right now, I think he would want two ceremonies.

The first ceremony is for the kingdoms.

He IS a royal and a threat at large to his neighbours - guests are not invited so much as made at sword point to attend. Those that dawdle or don't show are next on the invasion list.

Your chosen guests/family get a distinctively less threatening welcome but he won't stand for even well meaning questioning of your union. So , uh, warn them beforehand k?

He would want you to match. It's a wedding and coronation in one, a second throne atop the dias securing your position as Queen.

I don't know who the Fuck would officiate this or even condone it, but any alterations or plans you have are gladly accepted. He's never done this before, what even is tradition, send help.

He spends months pouring over his vows. He does not take this lightly.

Has a dress created for you that threatens to dislocate his jaw when he sees you wearing it. How are you his, again? You're perfect-

Won't even think to upgrade his own look until you mention it. Time to crack out his old armour...

Flower goblin Creeper because he does not trust the foul little thing with something as precious as the rings.

Instead the rings are hung around the gwythents necks. Badass entrance and execution.

The second ceremony, once the first is said and done, is done alone.

This is the one that means so much more. The first was a declaration, this is the promise.

The vows are quiet but ring in your ears as he whispers them, your foreheads pressed together, hands entwined.

"I will persist as long as you do, my dear." He gently raises your hand to his empty chest, eyes scarlet but not with fire. "Be it one lifetime, or a thousand more."

Walt Disney Pictures' The Black Cauldron is an ambitious animated fantasy based upon Lloyd Alexander's The Chronicles of Prydain, an acclaimed series of novels with a medieval setting.


With dreams of becoming a great warrior, assistant pig keeper Taran embarks on a quest to rescue his missing porcine ward, Hen Wen. The evil Horned King kidnaps the pig to use her oracular powers to secure a magical black cauldron in order to resurrect a skeletal army. Joining him are Eilonwy (Disney's forgotten princess), minstrel Fflewddur Fflam and the eternally hungry Gurgi, a furry creature of undisclosed origin. The gang must locate the cauldron and destroy it before it falls into the Horned King's hands.

The Black Cauldron had a famously troubled production and was subject to editing by a new studio regime who found it too dark for family audiences.


As might be expected from a film based on a five volume series of books, the movie suffers from an episodic, rambling narrative. The detrimental effect of editing is felt most in the sequence in which the Horned King unleashes his army of skeletal deathless warriors; it is all too brief and feels anti-climatic. The overall pacing of The Black Cauldron feels slightly off, languid at time.

However, those lucky enough to see this on original release in all its 70mm glory were treated to the most visually stunning of all Disney movies in years. The looser, sketchier art which chracterised Disney features of the 1960s and 70s is replaced by a fuller, bolder animation style, recalling the Disney product of earlier decades. The extensive use of the multi-plane camera and effects animation, particularly effective use of light and shadow, giving the film a rich texture and lavish quality.

The Black Cauldron is fresh, experimental and edgy while retaining an old-school Disney feel. Its arresting visuals alone make it worthy of far more recognition than it receives; an underrated movie from an overlooked period in Disney history and one that I believe is long overdue for reassessment.

Top 10 Characters I want to see come to Disney Mirrorverse (Part 2)

One list wasn't enough. There are more characters that have potential to be amazing in Mirrorverse, so I decided to make another list of 10 more characters that should be in Mirrorverse. Once again, I'll be going over what type of character type each would be (Melee, Tank, Ranged, or Support), what they're playstyle could be, and maybe how they could be incorporated in the game. Also, these are my picks and not yours, and your picks could be different from my picks. Without further delay, let's get into it.

10. Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland)[Tank]

With Alice in Mirrorverse, it should make sense that more characters from Wonderland join the game, like the Queen of Hearts. Other fans have been wanting her to join Mirrorverse, mostly because there is a small number of villains than there are heroes, and they have thought out her playstyle. For me personally, I see her as a Tank, with a playstyle of a Berserker (with a passive where her basic attack power increases the more angry she is, with a chance of her landing a critical hit), with a heart-shaped axe (a reference to her catchphrase "Off With Their Head!"); also, she could summon card soldiers to fight for her.

9. Cecil Clayton (Tarzan)[Ranged]

Another villain that should come to Mirrorverse, especially because Tarzan was on my first list. Obviously, he would be a Ranged character, utilizing his rifle and also using traps to slow down enemies, basically drawing some inspiration from Caitlyn and Graves (League of Legends).

8. Long John Silver (Treasure Planet)[Tank]

A villain from one of Disney's underrated movies, John Silver would definitely be interesting to see in Mirrorverse. I see him being a Tank, using his cybernetics to fight Fractured and Titanborn, like using his sword for basic attacks, a plasma cannon and flamethrower for ranged attacks, and his cybernetic eye to scan an enemy's weakness, increasing accuracy and critical hit chance.

7. Dr. Facilier (The Princess & the Frog)[Ranged]

I know for a fact that Dr. Facilier deserves to be in Mirrorverse. He would be a Ranged character, utilizing Stellar Magic to enhance his voodoo powers, giving him a playstyle that's similar to Baron Samedi (SMITE), or taking creative liberties for his playstyle, like summoning voodoo mask to attack and defend with, using his cards like throwing stars/knives, and using his shadow to attack enemies, all that jazz (no pun intended).

6. Madam Mim (The Sword in the Stone)[Tank]

Madam Mim would be interesting to see in Mirrorverse, since I put Merlin and Arthur in my first list, and her playstyle would be just as interesting. I could see her being a Tank character, utilizing her shapeshifting powers, such as using her dragon form as her signature ability, or utilizing Stellar Magic to improve her black sorcery.

5. The Lone Ranger (The Lone Ranger)[Ranged]

Who remembers The Lone Ranger movie from 2013? And who remembers that Lone Ranger was in Disney Infinity? Well, having him in Mirrorverse would be awesome. He would clearly be a Ranged character, using his twin guns, and even a lasso (like Woody does), possibly making his playstyle a mix of Miss Fortune and Lucien (League of Legends).

4. Taran, Eilonwy, and the Horned King [The Black Cauldron](Melee, Support, and Ranged, respectively)

I know I cheated on this, but I still stand by this choice, simply because The Black Cauldron is another underrated movie (with a cult following) and can bring some representation to the game. Taran, our plucky protagonist, would be a Melee character using his Magic Sword. Eilonwy, one of Disney's underrated princesses (along with Kida) would use her Magic Orb to be a Support character, possibly taking inspiration from Oriana (League of Legends). Finally, the Horned King, the most evil, darkest, and scariest villain in the Mouse House, would be a Ranged character, using his Dark Magic, enhanced with the inclusion of Stellar Magic, like firing dark lightning, or even summoning undead soldiers to fight for him. In fact, my older brother suggested the Horned King to be in Mirrorverse, and even said that he could be incorporated in the game as a final boss in a story arc.

3. Jim Hawkins (Treasure Planet)[Melee]

The protagonist of Treasure Planet also deserves of be in Mirrorverse since I chose John Silver to be in the game. He would be a Melee character, using a sword and a plasma pistol. Someone even suggested he use his treasure map to expose the weakness of his enemies. His signature ability could have him use his Solar Surfer to perform an air strike.

2. Powerline (A Goofy Movie)[Ranged]

Another pick from my older brother, and I could see it. Powerline is charismatic, an amazing performer, his songs are amazing, and he was also in Disney Sorcerers Arena, as well as Disney Heroes Battle Mode. I see him as a Ranged character, being imbued with Stellar Magic giving him electrokinetic powers, and having a playstyle that draws inspiration from Seraphine (League of Legends). His backstory could even be something like using his music to bring people together to fight against the Fractured and Titanborn, similar to Lucio (Overwatch).

Flynn should definitely be in Mirrorverse since he's basically an RPG character already, being a thief. He would be a Melee character having a playstyle that could play with his swashbuckling side or his rogue/thief side.

hey i was wondering can you write a Disney descendants flash back story to how Alexander from Pinocchio met his first wife Princess Eilonwy from the Black Cauldron ?

Alexander is the smart and reasonable one in the group.  He is usually dragged in the crazy bullshit that his friends take part in. 

Princess Eilonwy is  sharp, snippy, strong-willed, and sarcastic, but at the same time talkative and often scatterbrained. How They Met: Eilonwy was off on some sort of royal business and went out on a walk on her downtime. Alexander was on his way home from school. (He goes to Auradon Prep) They agreed to stay in touch. Pen pals to lovers!

Characters: Princess Elionwy (The Black Cauldron) × Alexander (Pinnochio).

When Princess Elionwy enrolled at Auradon Prep, the school was still living it's first years. With Belle and Adam's idea to unify the Kingdoms and celebrate the victory of good over bad, it was only ideal for them to build a place where their youngest citizens could learn about theis stories and about the basic subjects. Enlionwy was excited about going to school -after upon years of living under the power of the Horned King, she was now finally free; free to make friends, learn new things, tell her story to people and show them who she was.

But Auradon was not what she expected. There was this 12 year old girl, who had been the leader of her own rescue mission, surrounded by people who kept trying to shape her into a damzel in distress. She had gone there thinking that being a princess meant being a warrior, a ruler, and ended up being taught... Good manners? "Your dress is not long enough", "your manners are not delicate enough", "you're not tender enough", every single day she would hear statements like that from all of the adults around her and from the other students. To say that she was frustrated would be an understatement.

One year later, she had already learned to accept reality: those people weren't there to tell her how to rule her state; they were there to tell her how to dress, how to walk, how to eat, how to talk, how to laugh, how to be a good lady who would meet a good prince. But accepting reality didn't mean that she had to strictly follow every rule; oh, no, this now 13 year old princess would make herself heard, and very loudly. She was no damzel in distress, and nobody would ever turn her into one. This is how Elionwy became known as the trouble girl of Auradon Prep; skipping good manners classes, arguing with FMG about things she considered outdated, ocasionally doing something wild with her hair and often sneaking out of the school to take a walk around the woods at night.

On the other side of that story was Alexander, also 13 years old. He had the habit of quietly watching whenever Eliowny was getting herself in trouble and showing off her rebelious persona. She reminded him of who he used to be; that little boy who hated school until he got tricked by the Coachman. Before that man made hell of his and his friends' life for years, before they were tortured. He wasn't that person anymore.

Alexander was, in that matter, the opposite of Elionwy. He was an example student, always on line, never the one to start trouble (though sometimes being dragged into some by his good old friend Lampwick), never loud. Maybe, being turned into a donkey for years does that do a guy; being rebel had been the cause of his torture, and he would not make that same mistake ever again. Life had given him a second chance, and he was taking the best out of it.

But watching Elionwy... It made him want some of what she had. That energy, that fire she carried in her was so beautiful to see. She was unafraid, she was a lot like the boy he would have become if he hadn't been shut down. He admired that about her; that, and her beauty. Her flawless blonde hair, big blue eyes and bright smile. Everything about her was amazing. But he would never talk to her; no, she was way too busu in her own world, and he was way too caught up in his own mental walls for that to happen. Or so he taught.

It was a friday night when he was walking through the halls of Auradon Prep, one of the last students out of his room before cufew, that this changed. There he was, making his way to his dormroom after a little snack, with his head in the clouds, that he bumped into a figure. The shock brought him back to reality, and when he lifted his head to see what on Earth had that been, he was staring at thos blue eyes. Elionwy's eyes.

She was wearing a black cape that covered her head and... Leggings??

—I'm sorry, dude. —She appolagized.

—It's ok. —He assured. —Wait, what are you doing out here?

—I could ask you the same.

—I'm not the one dressed like a spy. —He chuckled. —But I'm going back to my room. And you should be in yours.

—Yeah, I should. —She stated.

—So...

—It's Alexander, right?

—What?

—Your name.

—Oh. Yeah, that's me.

—Nice to meet you. —She smiled. —I'm Elionwy.

—I know. —He mirrored her expression. —You have a reputation.

—I know. —She said proudly. —You too.

—I do?

—Yeah... Your grades are enviable.

—Thanks. -He felt his cheeks gerting warm.

—Now, may I go?

—Not before you tell me where.

She playfully rolled her eyes and looked back at him. He was really cute, now that she thought about it. Green puppy eyes, short blonde curls, a pink-ish shade to his face... And if we're being honest, she had always found his intelligence quite charming.

—I found a little cottage in the woods a few months ago, and it's full of magical objects. I go there every now and then to test some of them.

—Magic is not allowed in Auradon. —He alerted.

—It's only forbidden if I get caught. —She winked.

—That's not how it works. —He replied, unable to keep himself from smiling at how natural she seemed.

—You know, you could really losen up a little bit, Alexander. —She said. —You seem like a nice dude, but you would be even nicer if you allowed yourself to have fun sometimes.

—I've tried that once. Didn't really work out for me.

—Well, I'd love to hear that story. So how about you join me and tell me on the way there?

He froze at that. She was asking him, aka top student and slightly nerdy, to join her in one of her adventures. To not only break the school rules, but also the Law.

—Elionwy, I'm not sure that's a good idea.

—Come on. —She insisted. —You could definitely use someone to teach you how to have fun again. And maybe, just maybe, I'll let you be, let's say, a "good influence" on me.

His brain was saying no; screaming, actually. But there was a little voice just begging him to say yes. To take on the chance to let this beautiful girl be the person who would help him figure out how to balance fun and seriousness, and to also let him teach hed the good things about being focused.

—I hope I don't regret this. —He cracked a smile, finally giving in.

—You won't. —She took his hand. —Follow me.

And so they went on what would be the first of many adventures they would face toghether, as friends and then as somethibg more. Turns out that opposites do attract after all.

After the stylist was done making one final adjustment in her hair, Eilonwy smiled proudly at her own reflection as she took in her appearence. Her beautiful, wavy blonde lockes were styled with a beautifu flower shaped clip that held part of it in a perfectly held bun and allowed the rest to cascade down her shoulders, contrasting with the light lavander shade of her dress. Holding the veil was a delicate tiara, with encrusted little diamonds and a round polished ametist in the center.

-You look divine.

She turned around to see Taran looking at her, the smile on his face mirrorring her own.

-Thank you.

-Feeling ready!

-It's the most certain I have ever been.

It had been 6 years since Princess Eilonwy had accidentally stumbled upon Alexander in the halls of Auradon Prep. Now, both of them were 19 and ready to vowl that they would spend the rest of their lives with each other. She would have him by her side rulling Prydain; all that was missing was the official cerimony for that: the Royal Wedding. And this was exactly what she was doing here today; with Alice, Jane Darling, and Tiger Lily as her Bridesmaids and Taran to walk her down the isle, she knew that her big day was going to be just as perfect as a dream come true.

Outside, the castle was beautifully decorated. With the kingdom flag hanging on the walls, a red carpet to guide her to the altar and especially gorgeous tables for all of their guests, the whole environament was everything they could have asked for -though it might have take a little bit of work on Alexander's part to convince Eilonwy that there was no need for more than five steps on their angel food cake. And of course, some playful comments from his best friend, and best man Lampwick, that she was going a liiiitle bit overboard. Just a little bit.

-I'm ready. -She assured.

-So let's get this started. -He offered her his arm, and she took it.

As the orchestra began playing the most harmonic symphonies, the cerimony started. First, an incredibly happy Alexander entered, his green eyes sparkling with happiness; then, Alice and Pinocchio; Jane Darling and her girlfriend Shanti; and finally Tiger Lily and Lampwick. Now, for the great entrance, it was Eilowy's turn. With Taran by her side, she took a step, and walked in.

Everyone stared in awe as the beautiful princess walked confidently down the aisle, the joy in her groom's eyes being reflected in her owm blue ones. The not so long, flowery tail of her lavander dress and veil flowed subtly behind her, and each step she took was marked with graciousness; this was her moment.

-You look stunning; even more than usual. -He whispered when she was close enough.

-You look amazing too. -She replied. It was incredible how he could still make her blush even after all this time toghether.

Fairy Godmother started the formalities, and all of the guests were paying the best attention, but the bride and groom were too busy contemplating each other for that. They felt in heaven. Finally, it was time for the vowls: each of them spoke from the bottom of their hearts, love dripping out of every word that came out their mouths, the glow in their eyes showing just how devoted they were to each other and how happy they were to make that official.

-I do.

-I do.

With a joyful expression, FGM said what was missing:

-You may kiss the bride.

Everyone cheered as Alexander pulled Eilowy to a passionate, deep kiss. And to close the moment, they exchanged the beautiful white gold rings, hers having a pointy diamond on top.

-I love you. -She said one more time, staring at his eyes like they were her world; and they do say that eyes are the windows of the soul.

-And I love you. Always will.

This is Disney, folks; you know how it ends, don't you? But as the friendly cliché messanger I am, let's put in words: they lived happily ever after. ;)
