I think writers of tdp took the "trauma for development" A bit too literal. PEOPLE ARE LOSING FAMILY LEFT AND RIGHT BRO! NOT EVEN JUST PEOPLE FUCKING DRAGONS TOO (Viren, Harlow, Damian, Sarai, Aanya's mothers, Leola, Avizandum, Zubeia AND ik she's not gone gone but they did make us worry for a hot minute) ... AND THEM PLAYING "Because She's Rayla" IN THE BACKGROUND IS JUST A CRIME OF PERFECTION! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

The way this whole scene was so sweet and validating and just everything from a characterization and relationship standpoint. Rayla, being prepared to leave the Starscraper without even asking about the quasar diamonds, being so hesitant and overwhelmed to even reach for or grasp at something she Wants, and Callum being so steady and patient and loving. Placing his hand over hers and guiding her hand to the diamonds. It's okay to want things. It's okay to have what you want. It's okay to take them.

His encouraging little nod, the way he gives space so that she can hold them, the way Rayla repeats "You knew," as she re-contextualizes his previous behaviour—staying up all night figuring out the spell, wanting to go on the quest in the first place to a degree, being incredibly frustrated when he couldn't figure out the rune spell at first—with new clarity that it was for her.

The way Callum says what we've always seen and known out loud, but so gently and with so much love. He knows her, knows her so well, her selfless heart and kind nature and how routinely she puts herself second, that she would've refused to go if she knew it would benefit her. She never does anything for herself, and Callum would do anything for her, my beloved. Including and up to why she left and how they're moving forward since.

And Rayla once again being shocked and a little overwhelmed (same girl) that anyone could or would love her this much this well. It's okay to want things, and I will do everything in my power to give you chances to have them. I'll give you everything you want and deserve if you just let me.

Callum thinking she really might even be slightly mad because she agreed to saving people without the full context (that it'd also let her save her family) but of course Rayla just hugs him with gratefulness and love, finally smiling now that the shock and overwhelm of it all has processed.

So we know that cosmic justice or whatv tf they are called gave the order for leola's execution bc she 'gave' humans magic, yes they specifically said gave. Not taught, not showed but "gave". Thats what they said. They also said that "...This act, however motivated, is the beginning of the end. The start of the long slow spiral to chaos..." Suggesting that cosmic order is now broken.

So these startouched elves are just chilling around doing nothing instead of protecting the cosmic order but the second its broken they're the ones who find people at fault as if they're not the actual reason for it???

Im sorry but that whole conversation is just weird. If they see leola's act as "the beginning of the end" that only proves that they have the knowledge of future. They HAD to know what was gonna happen in the future to find her guilty, that is the only explanation for them to give a death sentence to leola. And that only begs the question of 'if they knew what was gonna happen why did they still let it happen instead of trying to stop it???'

Idk they could have not let leola have any human friends. If this is about the ORDER of the COSMIC then i like to believe that its important. So they could've just warned Aaravos bro. Tell him the reason of it so that he could keep an eye out for his girl so she wouldn'tt get snatched by some random startouch elf. Also if the golden dragon (aka sol regem) saw leola and immediately snitched to the cosmic council that means he also knew what she was doing would break the order of the cosmic. Tf is that about? A random dragon knows about the cosmic law but not Aaravos, a startouch elf??????

Plus, If they can see the chaos of the future then shouldnt they also take Aaravos to this cosmic justice since HE is the one that ACTUALLY causes half, if not all of the damage to get revenge???

AND EVEN SO, THE WHOLE "THE LONG SLOW SPIRAL OF CHAOS" SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE STATE OF THE WORLD RIGHT??? LIKE IT BASICALLY MEANS THE WORLD IS GONNA BE FUCKED IN THE FUTURE, AND THE ONLY DANGER FOR THE WORLD RIGHT NOW IS AARAVOS! Yes unicorns did give humans primal stones to do magic bc they felt bad for them since humanity was starving and dragons and elves wouldnt do anything. Another interesting thing i stumbled upon wiki was that "originally, the unicorns were suppose to rival the dragons, as they supported humans while the dragons allied with elves." They were okay with going up against the dragons bc of their compassion towards humans.

And also another thing i saw on the wiki was "unicorns bestowed humans with the knowledge of magic and gifted primal stones while ALSO teaching them the language of dragons (aka draconic) and the runes necessary to release the primal stones magic which would allow them to cast spells and become mages" Unicorns were the most compassionate beings of all Xadia and even though elves warned them about humans they still chose to help them bc they couldnt ignore the compassion that they were feeling towarda humans.

Another also FUCK the humanity! Even though the unicorns help them they still chose to hunt every single unicorn down untill they went extinct! Imagine the betrayal the unicorns felt after that!!! 😭😭😭😭😭💕💕💕💕💕💕
