a thiam birthday fic papayas and puppies

a/n: it was theo’s birthday yesterday so i had to write a fic and thus this was born....

summary: It's Theo's birthday and he's never celebrated it before soo he decided to tell his boyfriend Liam and I suck at summaries so nicknames and a few sexual jokes and theo and the Geyer's fluff.

warnings: a few sexual jokes thats it i think.

Theo lay in bed next to Liam and watched the sunlight stream through the gaps in the blinds. It was his birthday. He hadn't celebrated it before not even before the dread doctors, his parents were unable to afford it as any money they had was used to pay his hospital bills the price of which his parents complained about to no end. But now it was different he had a home and a loving boyfriend whose parents basically treated him as their own. he was loved. So before he could think too much and psych himself out he rolled over and ran his hands through Liam’s hair waking his boyfriend up who pouted and looked at him through squinted eyes Theo smiled at the sight and he pulled Liam in for a quick kiss before whispering~

“it’s my birthday.”  Liam blinked his eyes open immediately and looked at him in surprise. “I’ve never really celebrated before and I don’t want to make it too big of a thing but I wanted to tell you”

Liam smiled a blinding smile that made Theo’s heart skip a beat before Liam pulled him into another kiss this one more passionate than the other. he pulled away  and whispered, “happy birthday papaya”

“Really Liam?! It was one damn time! You try papaya ice cream once and you're labelled for life, I didn’t even like it!”

“I told you not to try it!”

“I was curious! And not like you're one to talk Mr I want to try cardamom coffee”

“Hey!”

“Oh, I’m sorry little wolf does that bother you?”

“That nickname confuses me”

“What do you mean?”

“Well you of all people know that I’m not little,” Liam says suggestively

Theo just raises an eyebrow at him causing Liam to scowl.

“You’re a pain in the ass you know that right?”

“That’s your fault!”

“How?!”

“Well, last night you were the one screaming “ahh theo, faster, harder!”

Liam facepalms and Theo starts laughing at his annoyance so Liam leans over as if he's gonna kiss Theo and then promptly pushes him off the bed

“Ouch”

“Ha! Now your ass is hurting!” Liam says just as Jenna walks in

“Mom! Hi um we were just-um”

“I’m not even gonna ask,” she said as David giggled behind her, “breakfast is ready”

“We'll be right down,” Liam says and she turns and leaves taking David who raises an eyebrow, a cheeky smile on his face before he follows Jenna down the stairs.

Liam turns to a still laughing Theo before sliding off the bed and landing on him making him let out an oof upon impact and looking confused at finding his lap full of excited puppy.

“Happy birthday,” Liam says with a soft smile before kissing Theo softly and pulling away

“Thanks, puppy”

“aww come on!” Liam says and gets off of theo grumbling about annoying chimeras and their stupid nicknames leaving a grinning Theo on the floor of the bedroom and heading down for breakfast.

Theo walks into the kitchen a bit later and Liam gives him a sickly sweet smile which makes Theo suspicious before Liam turns to his mom with a shit-eating grin and says- “it's theos birthday today and he's never celebrated it before” causing both Jenna and David to gasp.

“you little shit” theo snarls before pushing Liam off the chair he was sitting on but Liam grabbed his hand causing them both to land on the floor rolling around trying to tickle each other unsuccessfully until a throat cleared and they both looked up at Jenna and David with matching sheepish grins.

“Are ya’ll gonna get up off the floor so I can give the birthday boy a hug?” she said with a laugh as they scrambled up elbowing each other and bickering about whose fault it was, She then grabbed theo and pulled him into a tight hug whispering a soft “happy birthday” which David replicated with a hug and wish of his own.

“So what do you want to do for your birthday theo?” Jenna asked causing him to frown, unsure.

“I have an idea...How about we play board games in our pyjamas?” And Theo nodded excitedly.

Ever since he started living with the Geyer’s he had tried as many games as he could, finding Cluedo to be the easiest for obvious reasons but also enjoying Scotland yard and monopoly although his favourite game was the game of life cause he could try a normal life without werewolves and chimeras and creepy doctors who steal you away in the dead of night.

Liam grinned at the excitement on his boyfriend’s face and turned to his parents with pleading eyes. Jenna let out a small laugh and nodded in agreement. “okay ill make some hot chocolate you boys go set up the games and David?”

“Yes, honey?”

“Get ready to lose,” she said with a shit-eating grin causing Theo and Liam to burst into raucous laughter at the dig about David always losing no matter the game.

When theo fell into bed last night with a belly full of Jenna’s delicious cooking and the first birthday cake he’d ever had he felt happy and content so he pulled Liam closer and nuzzled his nose into his boyfriend’s neck and drifted off to sleep with a smile on his face.
