Hey, random thought. What if it was Augustus who showed Gwen the footage of Lena failing at the murder?
And, Cheaster could be the one who is giving Sam hints and leads about the Magnus Institute?
That would leave Norris trying to lead Alice to avoiding her lonesome? Or touch base with how she feels about Sam??
Each one has their own motive to help the other. Something they can help the other gain. Status, Answers, and Companionship(?). I feel like there's more I can use to back up this theory. But I suppose we must wait,

If norris IS martin, he didn't really get to know what he was doing for Peter Lucas in Season 4 of TMA
Gwen wanted to know, but Lena wasn't going to tell her, for the sake of " Ignorance is bliss," and all that.
Norris didn't want the same vale of deceit for Gwen, so he did what she wanted. Told her what she did.
He really said "here you go" so she can avoid asking unnecessary questions and start asking the important ones.
Alice also eluding to knowing more is unsettling, and makes me think she's pulling a season 1 John.
