The eclipse is passing over my part of the country right now and we just saw totality which was so incredible and so strange that it makes me realize just how much the ancient civilizations must have lost their gourds when this happened. those people must have been and makes their apocalyptic symbolism seem a lot more justified. Anyway glad we have modern astronomy to reassure us that the world isn't ending heres a really cute really crappy photo from the dumpster fire that is my iphone camera (you can kinda see a little solar flare at the bottom maybe?). Dude, the total solar eclipse today was SO F**KING COOL!!! These pictures do not do it justice! I'll forever have the image of the eclipse burned into my brain lol
If you're in the path of totality today, make sure to not look directly at the sun until the eclipse has reached totality! You'll know when it has reached totality when the sun no longer shows up in the eclipse glasses! Stay safe, everyone!
