Had a taste of Skybound. Not calling it "good comic", this writing was shit. They should just hire ficwriters, at least they know how to recycle fandom tropes and memes properly. Seriously, if a guy I hired for money produced this and then there were anon MegOp shippers online birthing out gems after full-time shifts of their shitwork outdoing my official content, I'd totally rethink what I do with my intellectual property. (Sadly, humanizing corps leads you nowhere.) If only I had time to thank and celebrate all the authors making my fandom experience better the way they deserve. They're doing god's job. (Maybe I could do a rec list one day.)
Blue-eyed Starscream made an appearance. Really, again?
Someone pointed it out, and I have to agree. "Blue-eyed good" and "red-eyed bad" shit is lame as hell. It was rightfully ridiculed in the comics, albeit in a broader sense, by highlighting the absurdity of any color-coding any ethical affiliations. Some might say it's easy for kids (or was easy in the 80s). But I'm not sure that judging people's moral excellence by the color of their eyes is a thing you should teach younglings. The following analogy may seem rather strained, but ya know, the red and the black shared similar histories in Western culture. Both were, in their own time, considered the antagonists of the color white (yeah, black wasn't always in opposition to white as we know it today). Both were associated with evil, sinister, and demonic.
And if red eyes IRL are extremely rare and as a result of a condition, "black" are very much present. Dark brown eyes are commonly seen and referred to as black. And it won't be such an issue if I didn't see some garbage-accumulating internet media taking after the gutter press and throwing out articles on "what does your eye color mean". Where dark brown or black eyes are associated with being aggressive, ill-tempered, and sometimes even violent. Man, that's just boring.

Soundwave was fighting dirty, he was fighting unfairly, because he has been holding onto that quiet, seething rage for Starscream. Beyond Starscream's faults, his failure to lead, and his damage to the decepticons, the sheer amount of brutality he's facing is from Soundwave's care for Ravage

This is so stupid but I been obsessed with him as a concept, what if he show himself as dead Bee but he's not Bee it just the embodiment of Optimus's fear/doubts, his feeling of doubting himself as a leader because of all the people he has been loosing in the war, his fear of failing over and over again, and that ghost is always with him and Optimus has a character development arc cause of that or smth, idk I like drawing my son as a ghost
