The Guardian of Positivity. Dream has been learning and gaining experience from roaming around the multiverse trying to keep the multiverse's emotions in balance from Nightmare's corruption. He befriended Ink at first because he saw him as a reliable ally, but now he mostly prevents Ink from getting himself into trouble.
He was separated from Neil after he was freed from the stone and he met Core when he was at his lowest. They guided him into the Omega Timeline where he'd be reunited with Neil, his father figure, once again. From then on, he swore to bring his brother's corruption to an end and restore the balance of emotions to the multiverse.
His training and exploration of the multiverse allowed him to use a new ability to counter Nightmare's ever-growing power, Glitter Golden!Dream. After the Halving, he was able to overcome Nightmare with this new power albeit failed to neutralize him due to Frisk's intervention. He was recovering for a few months before being back in action with Ink and the Omega Guards.
