🤷🏾♀️ Sometimes I can't decide whether a motherfucker's problem is their projecting their vile, inhumane attitudes on everyone else, or, their having a distressingly low level of reading comprehension -- or both...
But then I remember that that's not what I'm here to bother about, and just block, and move on 😂

For the good of his kingdom, he would do anything.
Ganondorf, named for his forebear, and his forebear's forebear, had carried his namesake and all of the weight associated with it, for many years. His throne had been a pressure meant to make or break him--and he would always, always rise to the challenges presented.
The crown weighed nothing, compared to the comfort of his people.
So, yes--even when they ask of him something he is reluctant to do...like take a bride, in an arranged marriage, to open up their borders and secure trade with Hyrule--He will comply. He will not complain. He will raise his head high, and welcome the envoy that brings her...
Zelda. A princess, in her own right. Blessed with divinity by the Gods, or so the Hylians say.
What she truly is does not matter. Because Ganondorf bows his head, takes a knee, and presses a charming kiss to the back of the dainty woman's hand.
"Sav'vasa, Princess." He calls, seeking emerald eyes politely, and with a hint of curiosity. "I hope that your journey was pleasant enough, even through the sands. It is an honor to meet you."

To hear her speak words in his native tongue was a surprise--yet not an entirely unpleasant one. She was stiff, formal, and her accent made the pronunciation a little off...But he could excuse these things. She was attempting peace, and a kindness, so the least that he could do is return it.
He stood up slowly to not startle her, after tactfully releasing her hand from his much larger one; And once he was on his feet, the Gerudo King let himself smile politely back at her. His arms folded behind himself as he dipped his head, turning to walk with the Princess and escort her to the chamber she would be staying in until their wedding night.
"I thought it poor manners to not welcome you home, Princess." His voice is level, and his gaze lifts from her to the stone hallways, as he gestures slightly with his head--a cue for her to follow. "Though we may be strangers, I would have you know that you should feel comfortable here. If there is anything you need or want, simply ask, and I will have it provided to you."
After all, his sisters had always ground it into his head that 'a happy wife equals a happy life'... So he would do his best to make her happy, even as he listened subtlely to the fumbling escorts following them, carrying what seemed to be Zelda's belongings.
"This is for the good of all of Hyrule, my daughter," her father's voice echoed in her mind as she sat there looking out into the desert as the envoy transported her to their destination. She had been arranged to marry the King of the Gerudo...a man named Ganondorf for the sake of trade and to hopefully end the tension between Hyrule and the Gerudo.
Still, Zelda felt a tinge in her heart as she knew she was giving up her right to marry someone she loves, but her people, their hope meant more to her than her happiness. After all, she was their guiding light to the Gods, their voices spoke and flowed through her, at least...that's what she had been told and trained her whole life.
When the envoy stopped the door opened and a hand reached in for her to take. Taking it she walked into the heat, though she was wearing a lighter blue dress than her usual thicker white and blue dress. Still, this lighter dress held the crest of Hyrule on it right in the middle, and she was wearing a smaller crown on her head with a similar design of the crest. As she looked around her emerald gaze fell upon the man who had come to greet them and she felt herself tense a bit.
She had to admit Ganondorf was a rather intimidating and towering figure...he stood a good two feet taller than her. Oh, she felt like she was having doubts, but soon her hand was taken lightly by his much larger one. He knelt there in front of her with his head bowed and lips gently brushing against the back of the hand he held. A blush rushed to her cheeks as she stood there her eyes meeting his and it was almost like she couldn't look away. Why didn't they tell her he was charming, yet terrifying? Either way, she held herself firm, not faltering as she heard him greet her.
You are the pride and Light of Hyrule, Zelda, she told herself as she let out a small breath. After a moment of them just looking at each other she opened her mouth, "Sav'aaq, King Ganondorf. And yes, my trip here was quite pleasant. The desert though warmer than Hyrule's climate is beautiful. Sarqso for meeting me, Your Majesty. I was not sure if I would have met my husband-to-be before the ceremony or not." Zelda spoke her last words causing a small smile to form on her lips showing she was trying to make light of their situation.
