Willie Jatp - Tumblr Posts
Okay since I am an absolute sap for Julie and the phantoms and more specifically Alex and Willie, here is my take on their story and why we ABSOLUTELY need a second season.

First off, Alex as a character is so interesting I could cry (no, wait, I already did). Just the way everything he does says so much about him as a person. He's not just "the gay one". Like, sure, he's gay, but that isn't all he is. He's sarcastic, caring, funny, incredibly fucking talented, and so much more but I'm running out of adjectives.

I would say the same thing about Willie but we really haven't seen enough of him for me to able to make that judgement. But that leads me on to the next part.

Their story isn't complete. Not close to it. Everything we've seen so far have just been sneak peaks of what they have. If I don't remember wrong, Booboo even said in an interview that they're clearly dating, so I don't know how much more I can elaborate on that.

It's like Malec after the first season of Shadowhunters. How we get bits here and there of their story but it's not quite complete yet.

I'm also so freaking interested in Alex's relationship with his parents. After what Luke said in the second episode on the beach before Reggie's jam. We got to see Luke's story (and I cried more in those 2 episodes than I have done in the first 8 seasons of supernatural) and now I hope we'll get to see Reggie's and Alex's stories.

Anyway, that's it for me. I hope you have a wonderful day and I'll see you in the next postš¤

Okay, sappy is back. This time, it's the three phantoms oops. I may be a lesbian, but I can appreciate a male character if he 1. Isn't an absolute ass, 2. Is funny and 3. Is musically talented.
So basically the three male mains of Jatp.
Starting with Luke, this duuuude. First off, Charlie Gillespie was an incredible fit for this role. First off, his voice is so incredible I've been crying for the past week. Secondly, he's Canadian.
Anyway,

Not only is he insanely talented, but he's also such a sweetheart, it melts my heart every time. And the chemistry between him and julie is to die for. I'm not usually much for the standard boring straight main couple, but Julie and Luke are on a new level of chemistry.

For Reggie, he's another sweetheart with a heart of gold. It's so pure to see his interactions with the other characters. He cares so much about Luke and Alex and he's basically taken on the role of Carlos' big brother without Carlos even knowing he actually exists. His chemistry with the other actors is also adorable. And hes not just the normal flirt like (no hate here) Barney from HIMYM, but like, a cutie who's also a flirt, if you know what I mean?

Now for Alex, I may be a bit biased cause I absolutely adore Owen, but this character, holy crap. I kinda covered it in my last post, but there's just so much to him.

He's incredibly talented yet so freaking humble you wanna punch him in the face at times. And he's so freaking funny without even trying. And the way he cares about everyone around him. The way he trusts and relies on Luke and Reggie despite his history. And the way he's standing for who he is even if he grew up with the world against him. And the way he's either the mom of the group or the little kid. And his nervousness when he's with Willie. But the thing I adore most, especially because I struggle from it a lot myself, is the way he takes care of his anxiety, and how he doesn't let it affect his day, and how he has accepted that it's a part of him. And how he found his own way to cope and fight.

Anyway, that's it for me! Have a wonderful day/night and I will see you laterš

Okay but is it just me who thinks there's so much more to Carrie than we've been shown so far? She's just not the usual asshole popular girl.
Like in episode 3 when Nick said "You two used to be friends" and Carrie replies with a huge amount of salt like she's hurt that he would even remind her of that. Like something happened between Julie and Carrie that hurt Carrie so much she became cold and distant. Cause if you listen to the way Julie talks about the time when they were friends, you wouldn't believe she was talking about Carrie since the way she's shown from the outside is nothing like what Julie knew.
It's almost like Julie did something that she didn't realise hurt Carrie as much as it did, and Julie just thought Carrie became too cool to be friends with her. But also seems like she hasn't actually told anyone about it. The way Nick acts about it is the same way Julie acts about it. Like they think she's just a stuck up asshole. I think she's just really hurt and is trying to frame off her feelings from not only the world but herself.
I mean, something must have happened for their friendship to turn that sour, right?
I'm so torn right now cause I have a final test in my math course on wednesday but I really wanna make a post about why I think Luke and Alex are exesš¤Æ

Okey, this might be really out there but you know how there's only one actual Sunset Curve song, like og sunset curve, so far? Well, I've found that one of my favourite bands (and my 3rd most listened to artist of this year, whoops) really reminds me of sunset curve. They're called With Confidence. If anyone else, like me, just really wish there were more sunset curve songs, you should check them out. Their songs are a bit more on the deep and dark side though as their main theme seems to be mental health but their music is so incredible, it's really worth a listen.

Okay can yall do me a favour? Can anyone who sees this reblog it with your biggest question/s after watching Julie and the Phantoms?
I'm tryna see something hehe

You know what I want for season 2? An Alex lead singer song. Honestly, Owen's voice is great and if he got the chance I'm convinced he'd blow everyone's minds.
Also, Luke got the whole Unsaid Emily cryfest (I'm still crying... it's been 3 months... I'm almost on Alex's level at this point) and Reggie had his jam so now we're just missing a song for Alex to shine.
I also wouldn't say no to a Alex x Willie duet...

Okay, hear me out here
It's Julie and the Phantoms
But it's Australian
I made a book, hehe
You know why the Willie x Alex duet in season 2 is freaking important? Because the only other gay couple musical duet I can think of is from Bare and that's a fucking tragic ass story so...

When Alex met Caleb it was like he was meeting his boyfriends dad, try to convince me otherwise

Episode 4
Julie: Wow Luke, I didn't know you were such a romantic
Alex: *quick as lightning* He's not
I- how'd you know, Alex?š¤

I just thought of something...
The boys are originally obsessed with confronting Bobby, right?
Well, why didn't they just get Julie to play a song with them in front of Bobby? They could write a song about their feelings of betrayal toward him? The way they did with Flynn. Reggie even managed to talk to Flynn in the Flying Solo performance so wouldn't that have made sense?

I'm thinking too much these days, but if you listen to the lyrics of "You got nothing to lose", there's a line like "Listen to the words a wise man said; he said "Covington, I got an offer that you can't refuse""
This could be a reference to when Caleb first became a ghost and how he got into the whole ghost club scene. How he got the same offer that he's giving the boys from another ghost.
As a firm believer that no one is born evil (some exceptions absolutely do occur), I think there's a lot more to Caleb's character than let's on.
I have two theories as of now.
1. He could be out for revenge.Ā
This could be his āmodifiedā unfinished business. He could have gotten into the deal himself centuries ago and heās been looking for someone to pass the deal onto so that he himself can pass on. It might seem selfish but really itās only human. Self-preservation is the only way to survive, right? Not that Caleb has that problem anymore but you get the point. So really, I donāt think heās evil in the way heās perceived.
2. He genuinely thinks what heās doing is right.
This theory comes from theĀ āno one is born evilā belief. If you think about it, what heās doing could absolutely, in the right context not seem as terrible. Heās offering the boys a secure way to keep doing music together forever, and be seen by actual people. His motivation methods are extremely wrong but you know, we donāt know how long heās been dead and his perception of society might be so incredibly ancient that the only way of negotiation he knows of is through violence. But like I said, I donāt think heās necessarily a bad or evil person.Ā
So, in conclusion, I donāt think Caleb is the villain weāre all seeing him as. Heās desparate. Heās lonely. Heās probably bored out of his witts to be honest. Imagine playing the same song over and over again. As a musician myself, and performer to some extent (eh, mostly school related concerts), I can absolutely see the joy in performing like that. Hell, I would do anything to get to perform like that. But for all eternity? Come on!
Personally, I think Caleb is just a bit old school and he needs someone to guide him through the improved ways of the world
Thank you for coming to my TED talk. I hope you have a wonderful day and happy holidays!

Hey, sorry if this is annoying but I would really love it if you guys would check out my one shot book and tell me what you think about it.
I really like writing but I don't know if I'm any good so any feedback would be absolutely fantasticš

Just realised something else...
I might be kinda stupid for not realising this sooner but you know the Finally Free performance in the show, right?
In the last chorus when Julie's doing the adlibs, it's ducking Reggie who's singing the melody. I'm crying, Jeremy's voice is so goodš
And that's a high ass freaking melody too, it ain't easy doin, I'll tell you that
I'm a female and I have the vocal chords of a female and holy crap that melody is high for me, so the fact that Jeremy can sing it is really impressive to me

Alex isn't team ruke or team juke, he's team luke get a fucking date

I'm not at all obsessed, what do you mean?

Now all I can think about is Willie showing Alex Rupaul's Drag race and Alex being amazed by it
Julie and the Phantoms AU
Random idea off the top of my head, but itās jatp but time travelers instead of ghosts.
So basically, Reggie, Luke, and Alex are time travelers who accidentally found out they can jump from 1995, their time, to 2020. Only these two dates, weirdly.
All of them jump forward when Julie pulls them through using their demo (like in the show) and find out about the future. Their future. And then they start jumping back and forth, to both live their present lives and see Julie in their future lives.
Since they donāt die in 1995, theyāre still all alive today, as famous musicians like Trevor was. Theyāre all both nervous and interested to see what their future is like.
They all decide, after meeting Willie (another time traveler, maybe? Idk I didnāt get that far) that time traveling and seeing their future is too dangerous. But they all continue to do so, despite the danger. Luke wants to keep seeing Julie, Alex wants to find Willie and talk to him, and Reggie wants to be Julieās big brother.
And then Caleb comes and things go down and Iām really not sure, I didnāt think about this enough.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
