“The nightmares,” you said as Hoseok beckoned for you to climb into his lap, “they’re scary.”

“Want to tell us what it was about?” Seokjin asked, moving closer to you as he placed soothing pats on your head while Hoseok rubbed the side of your arm.

“It was all my fault,” you sniffed, “I was so cold, the way I looked at you and not caring about the tears slipping from your eyes. I just left. I broke up with you guys, saying I had fallen out of love because you guys weren’t there for me and that’s totally untrue. You know I love you right? I’d never leave this relationship. Yet the way I felt nothing in that dream, the emotionless eyes I gave you and that slap.”

You quickly grabbed Jimin’s hands, tears falling. “Minnie, I’d never hit you and make you cry even more if we got into a fight, I promise you.”

“Hey, hey,” Jimin cooed as he replaced his hands to cover yours, “I know you’d never do that, baby. You can’t even hurt a fly.”

“I’m so sorry.”

“You didn’t do anything. You have nothing to apologize for.”

Brows still creasing, you shook your head. “But I feel like I have to.”

“Y/N,” the leader’s deep and calm voice made you look up at him. “We know you love us just as much as we love you. You prove it to us everyday.”

“And I promise you all do that too. I’m always feeling loved, I promise you. I’ll never leave you, not unless you want me to.”

“That, we’ll never want,” Yoongi said firmly, speaking for all of them. “You’re our baby girl, we don’t want you to go anywhere.”

“Our bond is unbreakable, baby girl.”

“And no one will take that away from us, even that dumb nightmare of yours,” Jungkook said, adding onto Taehyung’s statement.

“We promise,” Hoseok finished with a soft kiss on your head.

Soft crispy crunches follow your footsteps as you walk among the snowy path, the wind seeming more restless than ever this morning. Little bits of snowflakes descend from the sky, falling and falling in an endless cycle for the snowy mountains will never come to understand what Spring looks like.

For days upon days and years upon years, you have always prayed to see what it will be like to live with warmth, in a home of hearth, in a shelter that can provide comfort and heat to your body and mind. But you know that as you walk up the path of the mountain, stairway long ruined since over many years ago, with the hood of your cloak constantly hoping to leave your head and the wind howling all around, wishing alone will only get you so far.

The morning sun brings no heat for you, icy particles kissing your cheeks from time to time and leaving you bright red from how cold it is.

But you’re used to this.

Hero ‘V’ || kth

When Taehyung’s arch enemy turns up at his door, crying and vulnerable he does the thing any hero would do and invites them in.

The wind howled through the empty streets, rain steadily hammering against the windows and Taehyung had just emerged from his shower, thick steam dispersing into the cold air when there was an urgent knock on the door.

He tilted his head in confusion, rubbing his towel over his hair in an attempt at drying it before placing it over his shoulders, walking towards the front door hoping it was just a very late delivery.

But that wasn’t what was waiting for him outside, instead, he saw a shadowed figure hunched over and shaking, pulling what looked like a hoodie further down their face. Taehyung didn’t recognise the figure and just as he began to walk away he heard a slight sniffling followed by louder knocking.

You were outside his house, Kim Taehyung, or the Hero ‘V’ as you knew him, the man who was meant to be your arch-enemy but also was the only person you could think of to ask for help.

Taehyung opened the door, a nervous tight-lipped smile on his face before he crouched slowly so he could see your face, “what’s wrong love?” But it was when he finally recognised your features, that he took a few steps back in surprise, “is-is that you Quick Kill?”

“What’s wrong baby? You’re not usually this quiet,” Taehyung asked, poking lightly at your cheeks.

You puffed them out, pouting up at him with eyes so big and shiny, the kinds they always find themselves loving so much. “I’m just upset.”

“Why’re you upset?” Hoseok prompted.

“Because I can’t do anything for you guys, I’m useless,” you huffed, stomping your little feet against the counter. “I hate that I’m small. I can’t help or do things that are so simple to you guys or, or even climb up on certain things by myself. I always have to ask for help but whenever I want to help out, I always mess things up.”

At that point, your big eyes were shiny with tears waiting to take its chance to fall. Their hearts fell at that. No matter how cute you looked doing absolutely anything, your tears still made them almost as upset as you.

“Hey baby, come here,” Jin called forth as he held out his palm for you to get on top of. “I admit, you’re a mess, but you’re our beautiful mess.”

“And guess what?” Jimin said. “We love your small size. You’re cute and adorable.”

“It’s cute seeing you try,” Jungkook nodded.

You frowned. “But nothing works out in the end.”

“It’s the process that makes it all fun, the ending product doesn’t matter as much, little one,” Namjoon said.

You took a moment to take in Yoongi’s words. “You’re not..not upset at me?”
