I’d like to think that after TOA Apollo starts to listen to his kids— ESPECIALLY with Will, Kayla and Austin.

Like I know Will thinks in TSATS that it’d be a while before his dad showed up again, but what if he just did even thought it’s assumed he wouldn’t.

Anytime one needs someone to talk to or is upset, Apollo shows up.

Birthdays, Apollo shows up.

Graduations, Apollo shows up.

Like I know he’s a god, but I feel like all that went down would change his mind for a while. Like,

Artemis: Dude you were supposed to be here an hour ago, what happened?

Apollo: Sorry, Austin had a band concert.

He’d visit them over the summers at camp more often/that’s when they’d see him most of the time but he’d show up.

Janus headcannon because I learned something new:

Janus wears a black band around his hat to represent mourning the loss of Virgil. In Victorian times, men would wear a black band (sometimes on their hats) to signify mourning- the same way women would wear all black/black dresses for a specific amount of time.

I feel like Janus would do this because it shows he’s upset about what happened without having to explain what it means or anything.

I feel so much pain and yet comfort in re-reading HoO— the realization about Jason in ToA is painful but I forget the more I read, he needs something good to happen. I hope this sequel for TSATS gives everyone closure about him. Like I hope he somehow got into Valhalla and can remember who he is while being able to have some kind of contact. Maybe that’s why Nico can’t find him. Maybe Jason is learning and doing things that make him happy— what if he liked art? Or to read? Maybe he’s finding himself as he goes.
