Are you worried about your life or what’s coming next? if so, then find solace in today’s scripture because there is astonishing hope for everyone who believes in Christ! Jesus reminds us that He created the world and everyone in it and He is in control of everything. He promises eternal life to ALL people into his eternal home in heaven and you don’t have to demonstrate or demand anything to get there. Think about that!

While protestors are filling the streets demanding that “BLACK LIVES MATTER!!” - and that is TRUE - from God’s point of view He looks at the world and says THAT ALL LIVES MATTER!! Regardless of what does or does not happen on the earth, ALL LIVES will be in eternity one way or another, and nothing matters more than a person’s eternal state -- not their earthly state.

While there are major injustices in the world, we all need to understand that life here on earth is temporary. Instead of complaining about the unfairness of life in the world, instead embrace the opportunity to show kindness, compassion, mercy, forgiveness (and above all) LOVE for your fellow man. Rebellious behavior solves nothing and is the opposite of peace. God created man to live in harmony and peace, so instead of “If you Want Peace, Work For Justice,” turn this around and say “If you want JUSTICE, work for Peace.” JESUS CHRIST is the PRINCE OF PEACE and when you demonstrate love towards your ALL LIVES and God, He will bring justice to the world. If we do that, then all lives WILL matter.

So as tragic as some things are in the world, look at the eternal view and not just the chaotic world around us. This world is TEMPORARY but what follows is unseen. It is YOUR ETERNITY. This is what matters.

Friend, fix your eyes on the ultimate security and fulfillment that already awaits you because of the work Jesus did for you on the cross. All lives do indeed matter, but in God’s eyes Your Eternal Life Matters. Work towards God and you shall have both PEACE now and ETERNAL LIFE latter.

The #1 issue that people say that causes them to refuse the Gospel message is:

I can’t Believe in ANY so-called 'Loving god' That would send anyone to Hell!”

…and You’re Right! NEITHER DO I.

Let’s correct one of the biggest lies that has been successfully put out there and that is - (and this is a biggie…)

God doesn’t send ANYONE to Hell. YOU CHOOSE to GO to HELL!

WHAT, You Say?!?

That’s right!! You see, the Bible actually says that God does not desire that any people perish in Hell but that everyone be saved (2 Peter 3:9) and as Jesus said in today’s scripture, Hell was NEVER INTENDED for people, but for evil angels. But here’s the thing - you can choose to be WITH GOD or NOT BE with God. He does not want - nor will he will force anyone - to be with Him for eternity. So if you don’t like the offer of forgiveness and eternal life which is totally free for the asking, NO PROBLEM! It IS YOUR CHOICE.

You can choose to reject salvation and believe what you want to believe about who God is and how you think he really operates, or as today’s scripture says you can be on his LEFT HAND and you can have what you say.

Friend, please listen. This is not some sort of imaginary game. We ALL will leave this earth one day, the question is where, and the answer is simply where you CHOOSE to go, not where God chooses to send you. Will you choose God’s offer of forgiveness and love today?

There is a big difference between a LIE and BEARING FALSE WITNESS.

A lie is saying something to misdirect guilt or wrongdoing, or telling a story to make you 'look good,' but when you bear false witness, the goal is to deceive others by making someone else LOOK BAD.

There’s an old saying that says “everything you want to know about life, you learned in high school” - and there is a lot of truth in that! There were always certain kids in power - the Ra-Rahs, Jocks and especially the Journalism kids who in particular praised (or neglected) certain events, people or groups, and in the gossip mill these self-same kids either validated or vilified others based on their jealousy or unapproval.

Sadly we commonly see this today where slander and mocking others that they disagree with has evolved from a sport to a calculated strategy to destroy others or alter people’s perception of times and truth.

Remember friend - God is not mocked for the Bible says:

“ No one is hidden from God’s sight, but All are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must all one day give account.” Hebrews 4:13

We cannot prevent others from bearing false witness, but let us always be careful to guard our words and also the thoughts of our heart, because our grace and mercy depends on it. (Jeremiah 17:10)

One of the biggest lies that misleads people regarding their personal 'goodness' and standing before God is the famous GOLDEN RULE. Sure, it is an absolutely true statement and a good way to live, but it is not all we need to do or know in this life to take us into the next life.

You see, as today’s verse says it is not by our own self-righteousness, kind acts, 'being a good person' or acts of generosity and contribution to the world or others that redeems us in God’s eyes. Rather it is simply and plainly putting our faith that Christ paid the penalty for all the 'Un-Golden Rule' things we do in life!

To be “Right with God” is not based on our own self-determined rules of righteousness or measurement, but by His. We cannot earn it through our good deeds outweighing our not-so good deeds because we are not judged by a scale of 'more good things than bad' but only by faith in His Righteousness to take away all the non-golden rule things we have done!

Friend, by all means practice the Golden-Rule but don’t depend on it to get you to heaven. Faith in Christ alone is the only way to the throne! He alone is “The (only) Way, The Truth, and the Life.” (John 10:10b)

As the old story goes, Eve was tricked by the serpent in the Garden of Eden to eat of the forbidden fruit. In doing so be STOLE paradise from Adam and Eve, KILLED their relationship to God, and DESTROYED the paradise that once was their divine gift from God. This is exactly what John 10:10 says are the character traits of Satan and how he operates.

This self-same method still deceives people today by convincing people that what they 'think' God is saying is not really true, but instead based on our natural, 'rational' human minds on what seems reasonable that we also can take our own bite out of the proverbial 'apple' as we will.

Friend, Do NOT fall into this self-same trap! It is so easy today to buy into what popular culture embraces regarding sex, wealth, love, money, power, and possessions to the point that it is easy to rationalize that is OK to take a 'bite' out of any one of those things because everyone else is doing it too, but this is all a replay of the same deception!

The Bible tells us that Satan pretends to say “it’s OK” to do this, that or the other, but God is calling you to hear HIS voice, not a voice that sounds good or is what others are doing. His voice will NEVER lead you astray.

What 'Hath' God really said?

He said: Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way. [Proverbs 23:19] Follow ME [John 12:26]

What did you just say, Pastor Wayne?!? Are you serious?!?!

Yes! The Resurrection Christ, and the belief that Jesus rose from the dead IS A BIG LIE....that is, FOR MOST PEOPLE. This single issue of the so-called “Christian Religion” is the one thing the majority of people cannot believe or accept and is the #1 stumbling block for accepting the message of the Gospel.

Ask the average person and they will concede that the Bible is a general historical description of events that happened in ancient Israel, and most likely would also concede that Jesus was both a real historical figure and an influential teacher and a good man. Beyond that, this raise-from-the-dead business is not only false, but also not possible or believable.

Are you one of those people? If so, consider this...

Billions of people have experienced “the likeness of his resurrection” in their lives through miracles, healings, answered prayers, and a profound sense of inner peace. The comparisons of Christian believers is universal – across all nations, ethnicities, and ages. Without going into a lot of technical and theological detail, the integrity and message of Christ - as well as the Bible - has been proven over and over again to be not just historically accurate, but also within its overall message.

So where does this lead YOU if you still do not believe this raise-from-the-dead business? It is a challenge to re-evaluate WHY you feel that way. Investigate it for yourself; don’t just pass this off. If it is true, it is the key to not only this life, but the next life as well.
