I’m so curious about the international geopolitics in MHA. Is this happening in the background of the war?

I think the problem is

1) he sweats a lot due to his Quirk and active physical job

2) no deodorant can handle the kind of heat he pulls (stick ones melt right off, rollers dry up and evaporate fast, and aerosols shouldn’t even be within 10 feet of Enji unless he wants to bakusplode the whole block)

3) that tight suit made of god knows what that can handle fire probably contibutes to the problem. He should honestly be more exposed for someone who has an emitter Quirk that’s heat-related, but he’s too much of an All Might wannabe to give up a full-coverage tight superhero suit. If he was a woman, he’d be wearing tiny shorts and a bandeau bra.

and 4) he’s so fucking tall most people’s faces are on his armpit level which usually is not the case for others (if we went around smelling everyone’s armpits, most people would seem smelly)

In Japan they're apparently very fussy about this old person smell thing called Kareishu. For some it starts from middle age and I mean, Enji sweats a lot must be considering hes always hot. He is also a bit on the plump side(smell is from some oil things?) and he aged rapidly after the prev war.

Huh, so it is some more local thing?

I heard East Asians predominantly have a different gene mutation related to sweat, so I wonder if it's that sort of difference... That is hearsay, but I heard East Asians just don't have such a smelly sweat? I want to investigate but wouldn't that be inappropriate

I guess old people do have a distinct smell, but I am thinking about, like, grandpas and grandmas when Enji is younger than my Dad...

Maybe he is one of those Japanese people who don't have the mutation. Imagine, haha. Rei would think he smells awful and have no idea why. I don't think being a big man contributes, but his active job and quirk definitely do
