Arya Month Day 2: Nymeria
Arya’s beloved direwolf Nymeria. Nymeria is named after a warrior queen whom Arya very much admired. Nymeria and Arya’s bond is immensely powerful. When Arya was in danger by the psychopathic Joffrey, instead of doing nothing but shouting and crying like Sansa, Nymeria leaped to Arya’s defense and gave that little shit what he deserved (hopefully it was painful). Sadly, knowing Nymeria would be killed for hurting Joffrey, Arya sends Nymeria away. Now Nymeria, having grown extremely large as she’s a direwolf, runs in the Riverlands with a massive pack of wolves. But Arya frequently thinks about her beloved wolf and has dreams of her. But they aren’t just dreams. Arya is a Warg like her siblings and can get inside Nymeria’s mind. Even from very long distances. A symbol of the immensely powerful bond they share. Hopefully one day Arya can reunite one day with her beloved direwolf and Nymeria’s pack could be a great asset to the living in the war against the Others.
And here’s one line highlighting how much Arya trusts her wolf.

loving you’s a bloodsport by @anniebibananie bodyguard au. but like - also - so much more than that. just such a beautifully written fic. everything about arya and gendry’s interactions is so spot on. characterization is amazing. the writing draws you in and you can’t stop reading til you’re done and then you’re just sad it’s over. then i would recommend anything and everything else gendrya written by annie!
A Part Of You by the legendary @gendrie or elenei on Ao3 one of the very few modern au’s i’ll actually endorse. just a masterpiece. not sure where you’ll find better characterization. (you won’t). beautiful plot. absolutely gorgeous axg interactions. on top of that @gendrie writes some of the best gendrya meta and runs just one of the best gendrya/arya blogs out there and has overall the best gendrya/arya opinions ever!
gonna make this place your home by @argyledpenguin five different yet equally and hauntingly lovely au ficlets: 1 2 3 4 5 all shorter one shots but simply beautiful. if you enjoy these (which you will), go here to find more gendrya one shots scattered between pages 3-6, there’s just something SO captivating about this author’s style of writing.
The Long Journey Home by waytooserious on Ao3 an absolutely beautifully written multi-chapter (9) fic including a reunion and all the aftermath not to mention a full length multi-chapter (8) sequel! so when you’re looking for something to keep you hooked all night, this is your fic!
Carved From Stone by onborrowedwings on Ao3 and just because, another multi-chapter (7) fic au where arya stays with the brotherhood and encounters lady stoneheart. also just gorgeously done. you will not regret reading. their relationship is just so on point in it.
All I Ask by Awakened_Angel on Ao3 everything you never knew you needed from a fake dating fic. very ‘to all the boys i have loved before.’ beautifully done. great changes/adjustments made so the story fits axg. an absolute must read!
Ned Stark Lives! by cbstevp on ff.net and because i just couldn’t help it, this absolute gem that is FORTY FIVE chapters long and details what would have happened if Ned had lived (obviously including gendrya), just kind of a masterpiece…
