question timeee !!

need a a bit of help

so as an aspiring horror artist i wanna do some art with those backgrounds that are like hallways of houses, & the photos are always taken on like really old cameras but every time i try to look up some of these pictures i never find any. to anybody who can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

i know of a lotttt of bad tv finales. like, a lot. and truth be told, i cannot name a good (read: popular and generally liked by fans) one off the top of my head. so, a question…

name a tv finale (or a few) that you liked.

I tried searching for a couple of text posts from a couple of months ago (all literally like from April or May) that I wanted to save now that I have an account, but so far, after a LONG time (started looking for them in early June), I was able to find only one of them.

I've tried looking for the other posts through various methods, both on tumblr and off it, yet I still can't find them.

I do not know if those posts can even show up in the tumblr search engine now because of their age.

How I went about trying to find the posts was putting in the appropriate tags that the post was most probable to be under and scrolling as far back as I can (under top and text) and checking the timestamps of some posts along the way to see if I had scrolled back too far. I would also find a blog that was somewhat dedicated to theories and analyses and search for the posts I wanted their blog to see if they had either authored the post or reblogged it. This is how I found one of the posts I was looking for.

Sometimes when I tried to search through tags and scroll back far, I was not allowed to scroll past a certain point (even though I know that tag had been used for years and still had a lot more posts on it).

Just please fix this tumblr.

Fix what I mentioned in the last paragraph of my post and allow us to use the search engine to be able to simultaneously search with tags and search about the text written on the actual post!

Also, give us a free, optional feature (that can be turned on and off) that allows us to be able to use the search engine to search for text found within a post!

I know it can already be done on someone's blog, but please try to make a feature that would work in a general search.

Where should I put my stories?

heya fellow writers on Tumblr, I got a semi serious question, or at least it feels semi serious at the moment. I'm making a lot of progress with this short story and I was wondering where I'm supposed to put it?

I know I could try self-publishing it, but that requires people caring enough to pay for it

I could enter it into a contest, but that requires it to be small enough, and I don't want to constrain myself

I could put it in Wattpad, but I know they're very heavenly romance and fan fiction which this isn't

Same applies to AO3, which I know a lot of people on Tumblr like

I could try just putting it straight in Tumblr, but that didn't work last time

I could record an audio book of it and put it on YouTube, but I don't have the money for recording and such

I could do maybe something else?

Hey everyone, is it better to tag your posts with a 'trigger warning', a 'content warning', or both?

I was used to seeing sensitive content tagged with a trigger warning or tw; now I'm seeing it tagged as content warning or cw.

I normally tag it as "tw: *triggering thing*"; is that a good way?

Is there a difference between the two? Is one more useful for people who need to avoid sensitive content or triggers? Do they mean different things? Ty!

people say that dreams have meaning. I disagree a slight bit. You see I know nothing about dreams this have no value of an argument. But as a human I dream. Anyway, I’ll slyly ask if dreams have meaning then explain what my dream meant.

my dream in question was set in a fae forest. I got cornered by some invisible fae, where I couldn’t see them. They curse me for stealing some food from their land. The curse was to eat food with my hands. I was paralyzed and fell to the ground. Doomed to mush food in my hands, and swallow with my throat. May I reiterate, I had to mush food in my hands in order to chew. In this dream, like many before, I wasn’t me, this time I was a thief.
