Yesterday I finished another book, it's called "Déjame Odiarte" It's by a Spanish author, Iguazel Serón (and I'm not sure if it has a translated title, but I'm assuming it would be something like "Let Me Hate You"), it's about a guy, called Collins, who is kinda shy and introverted, that goes to university and meets another guy, called Marco, who is pretty much the opposite to Collins. They meet and immediately dislike each other, but Marco wants to help Collins collect money for the drama club, and he lets him. Of course, they start getting close and catching feelings, but I can´t go into more detail cause, you know, that would be a spoiler (and also, it's pretty short, so there's not so much more to tell). I'm giving it 7.6.
Beach Read: A (spoiler-free) review: Every once in a while, there is a novel that just lightly taps on my romantic sweet tooth. Beach Read saw that I was craving a nice getaway novel with cute banter and wholesome characters and it delivered a sweet treat. The love interests both have a plausible history with one another. Even though their situation requires a small suspension of disbelief, it is not completely outside the realm of possibility. As a fellow writer, their struggles are understandable. Additionally, the subplot regarding the female protagonist's family is stellar. Genuinely, do yall just not have imagination?? Or not understand figurative language??? Also eyes do literally darken and soften have you not lived a life??? How do you read with no imagination? Is this how you get through so many books in one month - you simply don’t take the time the understand the words as they are read?
