A drawing of ADA!Chūya Akutagawa!! This is post-DoA 2.0, so he’s grown his hair out into a ponytail. It’s really long and fluffy, and Atsushi loves to help him take care of it. He’s often seen grooming it, similar to how cats groom themselves and others. I’m not really great with hair positions, so any tips there would be appreciated.

There’s two drawings here because I couldn’t choose which was better - the one with the red overlay or without. So you get both.

I love the aesthetic of traditional Chinese porcelain pottery and I think that the aesthetic fits more with Atsushi then akutagawa but I still think it be a cute tattoo idea for these two

Akutagawa Headcanons

He likes poetry, and sometimes invites people he's close with to write with him (He frames some of them and puts them up as decor around his house) Him and Gin lived in a more high-middle class home before they were kicked into the slums. Not rich-rich, but more than average. They were kicked out after the Akutagawas' parents found out he had a lung disease and wouldn't make it far in life. They decided to just start over with new kids after kicking the siblings out. Gin was only kicked out because their parents didn't want her to spill to the new kids they planned on having about what happened to Ryuunosuke. ^ Them living in high-middle class also meant that their parents enjoyed decorating their house with various antiques, so that's why Akutagawa likes antique calligraphy. The jabot sways a lot when he shakes his head, same with his bangs. Gin put a bow on Rashomon one time, and now she refuses to take it off. Makes Ryuu's job a bit harder when it comes to intimidation when Rashomon has a pink ribbon, but it makes her happy, so it stays. Gin is slightly taller than him and it pisses him off, so he wears heeled shoes. If he wasn't kicked out onto the slums, he would've had dreams to become an astronaut when he gets older. The white tips of his hair are natural. No dye. He wears mascara and eyeliner. I refuse to believe those lashes are just plain and untouched.

He dedicated his life to getting Fig Cookie in CRK/OB and maxxing them out.

headcannon that akutagawa holds a small party made up of him and gin once a year on the anniversary of the day his lil group of friends in the slums died and they make a small banner that just says "_ Years, we miss you (insert their names cause i dont remember)" they have like a cake and its basically their way of giving their friends in the slums the birthday they never got to have. occasionally if they're free chuuya and some of the black lizard will join them

"Akutagawa isn't obsessed with dazai" no. You're wrong. He IS obsessed, just not in the quirky romanticized way people might think. Akutagawa is mentally unstable and he actively hates dazai, but he needs his approval. Craves it. Desires it with almost every inch of his being. He wants to kill dazai, but his obsession with him overrides most other thoughts about it. Dazai is still bad to akutagawa, saying that he's dangling approval just above Akutagawa's head. He knows akutagawa is obsessive, and he uses it.

Akutagawa being an obsessive person is something that should be talked about more. In og bsd, he's obsessed with dazais approval, in beast he's obsessed with getting his sister back iirc, ect

Akutagawa's obsessive behaviors isn't just in og bsd, it's in alternative universes as well. How he acts when it comes to this isnt just dazais doing.

To me he kinda acts like a dog. A dog that has been trained his whole life to bite. It's what he knows best. He bites at enemies. He bites at those who betray. He bites at those who attack the one he calls an owner of sorts, if that makes sense

There's a chance he doesn't even realize that this isn't normal. He might think that everyone has N "owner" of sorts that they must be the guard dog for. Everyone is wired to fight for the one they consider an "owner"

No, he doesn't wash it, or let anyone besides gin touch it

If he washes it, then the last traces of his old friends are gone, replaced with laundry detergent.

Only reason he lets gin touch it is because she was with him in the slums, so her touch doesn't feel like it's doing harm to the traces of his friends since she also went through what him and his friends did

He wears it when he feels down.

"Akutagawa isn't obsessed with dazai" no. You're wrong. He IS obsessed, just not in the quirky romanticized way people might think. Akutagawa is mentally unstable and he actively hates dazai, but he needs his approval. Craves it. Desires it with almost every inch of his being. He wants to kill dazai, but his obsession with him overrides most other thoughts about it. Dazai is still bad to akutagawa, saying that he's dangling approval just above Akutagawa's head. He knows akutagawa is obsessive, and he uses it.

Akutagawa being an obsessive person is something that should be talked about more. In og bsd, he's obsessed with dazais approval, in beast he's obsessed with getting his sister back iirc, ect

Akutagawa's obsessive behaviors isn't just in og bsd, it's in alternative universes as well. How he acts when it comes to this isnt just dazais doing.

To me he kinda acts like a dog. A dog that has been trained his whole life to bite. It's what he knows best. He bites at enemies. He bites at those who betray. He bites at those who attack the one he calls an owner of sorts, if that makes sense

There's a chance he doesn't even realize that this isn't normal. He might think that everyone has N "owner" of sorts that they must be the guard dog for. Everyone is wired to fight for the one they consider an "owner"

No, he doesn't wash it, or let anyone besides gin touch it

If he washes it, then the last traces of his old friends are gone, replaced with laundry detergent.

Only reason he lets gin touch it is because she was with him in the slums, so her touch doesn't feel like it's doing harm to the traces of his friends since she also went through what him and his friends did

He wears it when he feels down.

Also, it used to be white with red specs dotted around in it, but it became the yellowish brownish color from wearing it so much and sleeping on dirty ground with it on
