"Where do we go from here?" (x)
"You tell me."
"I wish I knew."
"Why do you ask me?"
"I honestly don't know."
"The only way is forward."
"Hopefully to a better place."
"Back to where we came from."
"We need to leave the past behind."
"Oh, but I'm horrible with directions."
"Doesn't matter, as long as we're together."
"I miss you." (x)
"I miss you too."
"It's just temporary."
"I wish you were here."
"We'll see each other again."
"Well, that's too bad for you."
"Just a few more days, I promise."
"One day, I won't have to leave again."
"The truth is, I don't miss you anymore."
"I'm sorry, I can't change that right now."
"This wasn't the last time we've seen each other."
"It doesn't matter." (x)
"Maybe not."
"It matters to me!"
"Maybe not to you."
"But you do matter!"
"It used to matter to you."
"You just don't know it yet."
"But it will matter, believe me."
"Well, I would say it does matter."
"You can't hide behind this facade forever."
"Don't you see that there are people who care?"
“How are you?” (x)
“Fine.” (A lie)
“I’m fine.” (Honest)
“I have been better.”
“Not that bad actually.”
“Why would you even care?”
“I’ve been feeling worse before.“
"I feel like I should ask you that.”
“Well, it’s so nice of you to ask…”
“I’m doing quite well at the moment.”
“Probably a lot better than you look like.”
"I need your help." (x)
"Where's the body?"
"What's the problem?"
"You never ask for help."
"You can always count on me."
"Tell me what to do and I'll do it."
"You know I will always help you."
"Why does that sentence scare me?"
"That's a sentence I have heard before."
"Why do I feel like this is more than a small favour?"
"It seems to be important, if you are willing to ask me."
“What do you need?” (x)
“You.”
“A hug.”
“Motivation.”
“I just don’t know.”
“Fresh air to breathe.”
“Some tissues, please.”
“Nothing you could give me.”
“Just a very small favour, I promise.”
“A small moment to just be by myself.”
“Silence, but that seems too much to ask for.”
“I have a plan.” (x)
“Finally!”
“Tell me what to do.”
“Alright, let’s hear it.”
“Can’t make things worse.”
“Hopefully it’s a good one.”
“I’m scared to find out what it is.”
“Does it involve staying unharmed?”
“Great, now we’re even more screwed.”
“Why do you sound so happy about that?”
“Great timing, because we desperately need one.”
“There is something I wanted to tell you…” (x)
“I’m listening.”
“And here we go…”
“Don’t even bother.”
“Let’s get it over with…”
“Stop being so ominous.”
“You’re making me nervous.”
“I already know. And I do too.”
“Psst. You don’t need to say it.”
“Why do you look at me like that?”
“I think I already know where this is going.”
“What is wrong with you?” (x)
“It’s a long story.”
“Very good question.”
“Oh, so many things.”
“Too many things to count.”
“Well, thank you for asking…”
“I’m tired of defending myself.”
“Don’t act like I’m the problem!”
“How much time do you have?”
“Do you really want to find out?”
“Nothing, but what is wrong with you?”
“Do you feel better now?” (x)
“A tiny bit.”
“I feel worse.”
“Yes, thank you.”
“Surprisingly yes.”
“Not even a little bit.”
“Would you feel better?”
“I don’t even know anymore.”
“Actually yes, I do feel better.”
“Yes, but stop laughing at me.”
“I don’t think I will ever feel better again.”
“I feel like I’m losing you.” (x)
“I will never leave you.”
“You need to let me go.”
“It’s not losing, it’s evolving.”
“I will always be here for you.”
“I don’t want go, but I have to.”
“You’ve already lost me a while ago.”
“What am I supposed to answer you?”
“And you are still not fighting to keep me.”
“A little late to realize that you want me around.”
“You’re not losing me, I was never yours to be lost.”
“What are we?” (x)
“Probably stupid.”
“Lost. And desperate.”
“I don’t know anymore.”
“Why do you ask me that?”
“Tough question to answer.”
“What would you like us to be?”
“Human. At least I hope we still are.”
“Not the right time for that question.”
“I would like us to be more than friends.”
“Nothing anymore. We are nothing to each other.”
“Jealousy doesn’t look good on you.” (x)
“You know you love it.”
“Shut up, I’m not jealous.”
“Then don’t make me jealous.”
“Everything looks good on me.”
“Jealous? Over you? Oh, please.”
“Really? It looks great on you, though.”
“Jealousy? That word is not in my vocabulary.”
“There is no reason for me to be jealous, right?”
“As if I would be jealous over you. I mean of you.”
“You’re right, it does suit you much more than me.”
“I think you are in love.” (x)
“Oh, hell no.”
“Is that what it is?”
“Don’t be ridiculous.”
“And what do I do now?”
“This is so embarrassing.”
“Shit. I’m in love with them.”
“Don’t say a word to anyone!”
“Definitely not. Doesn’t sound like me.”
“In love? I don’t have time to be in love.”
“But I hate them. I am in hate with them.”
“Can we talk?” (x)
“Sure, what’s up?”
“That would probably help.”
“What is there to talk about?”
“Oh, so now you want to talk?”
“You’re making me nervous now.”
“Not right now. Later I’ll be all ears.”
“You’re scaring me. Is everything ok?”
“This is not the right moment for this.”
“Actually no. I don’t want to talk right now.”
“I think we’ve all said what we wanted to say.”
“Are you afraid of me?” (x)
“You wish.”
“Sometimes.”
“Why would I?”
“Should I be afraid?”
“Nah. You’re a big softie.”
“Do I look like I am afraid?”
“I will never be afraid of you.”
“Would that change anything?”
“Yeah. I mean, kinda. Definitely.”
“Do you want me to be afraid of you?”

any tips for writing road trips?
Hi :)
How to write a road trip
For a road trip there are a few things to consider that change how you go about it:
Purpose
Just wanting to have a road trip
Is there a specific place they need to go to?
What is going to wait for them at the end?
Route
If there is a specific place, they need to be at they should take the direct route there
If it’s just for fun they can go and stop in any direction whenever they want
You can include some obstacles, like road blocks, traffic jams, construction sites, getting lost, etc.
If you use actual places, try to figure out the time it takes to get from point A to point B
Sleeping arrangements
A few options: in the car, in a tent, in a motel
Depends on where they are, their budget and the weather
Passengers
How many people are in the car?
What is their relationship?
Are they carefree and happy or is there tension between them?
Plot points
The plot is like a road trip itself - it moves from one point to another and then ends at a point you choose
So, you can choose different stations during the trip to include different plot points and further the plot
Maybe something major always happens when they have to stay in the car with nowhere else to go
Maybe they only have important conversations at night
End of the trip
You should interconnect the end of the trip with the end of the plot you wanted to get across
It’s like reaching the destination in both aspects
That makes for the most satisfying end for the reader
Road Trip Ideas
picnic at the side of the road
quick bathroom breaks
having a snack stock pile
homemade sandwiches
getting lost
fights about which way to go
being stuck in traffic
the perfect road trip playlist
and still fighting over the music
phone batteries being dangerously low and no way to charge them
trying to read an actual paper map
packing too many useless things
while forgetting something important
looking out for places to sleep
contemplating if the creepy motel is worth it
sleeping in the car, uncomfortable in all the wrong places
sleeping under the starry sky
not seeing a single soul for miles
randomly stopping at interesting things
watching the sun set and rise again
measuring time with McDonald's signs they see
visiting small towns
coming across ghost towns
exploring the remnants of civilization
arriving at their destination feeling either more connected to each other or farther away from each other
I hope you enjoy this and have fun writing it!

Aww, these are so cute!
hi! I'm writing this story about a woman (20-27??) who lives in a haunted house, and treats some of the younger spirits like their younger siblings and the older ghosts like her overbearing parents, constantly warning her not to die in the same ways they did. I would like dialogue prompts for it or something similar please, thank you :)
Hi :) Interesting story and I tried to come up with some good dialogue for it!
Human/Ghost Dialogue Prompts
"You seem exceptionally happy today." "Yes, you could say I'm in high spirits." "That was like an awful dad joke coming from a ghost." "You mean, a dead joke?"
"I love living with you all. But sometimes it just gets to much."
"You can't always protect me from everything. You can't even leave this house." "Well, would you consider not leaving the house either, for your own safety." "Definitely not."
"We definitely need to have the talk about boundaries again."
"Every time people ask me about my family, I want to tell them about you guys, but I'm not sure how they would take the information that I live with a bunch of ghosts."
"I know you're always scared I would die the same way you did, but at least dying from the bubonic plague is not that easy to achieve in this day and age." "Oh, never say never."
Hope you like them!
- Jana
what's the hardest part about writing?
writing.
every word matters
remember, no wip is insignificant or trash.
every word matters. every word is a step of you becoming a better writer. every word is a reminder that you are a writer, because you're building these characters and creating this world from your own imagination.
and that itself is an accomplishment.
me, desperate for some writer friends/mutuals
hi everyone!
this is just a post where writers get to know writers, and hopefully through reblogs/comments we can find more people who not only read/write our genre, but just people who have similarities with us.
it's kind of a simple "get to know me" post, and anyone can join <3 if you want to know more about me and my works, check out my writblr intro!
feel free to tag your mutuals and reblog !!
name: pronouns: genres you like to write in: genres you like to read in + fav books/media: favorite line from your current wip:
name: ave
pronouns: she/her
genres you like to write in: currently writing contemporary (ya/romcom/romance, give me them ALL), but I also like to dabble in fantasy!
genres you like to read in + fav books/media: i'll consume literally anything haha. Fantasy, mystery, historical fiction, romance, young adult, you name it. I'm awful with horror, though ;-;
percy jackson (MY CHILDHOOD), harry potter (OBVIOUSLY), Better Than the Movies, From Lukov with Love, The Love Hypothesis, These Violent Delights, the list goes on...
favorite or latest line from your current wip: [from Destination Seoul]
“How can I?” I mutter, leaning back in my chair. “Even I know when a relationship is over. Especially because I ended it. Besides…”
writing is lonely
it's true, being an author is lonely. you're stuck-and not in a bad way-in your own world and with your own characters, and it's like you either want to bottle your precious gem up inside or tell the whole world about it.
but reaching out to other authors-and possibly fellow readers!-takes time and effort. don't be scared to promote your works, or tell others about your wip's. we're all in the same boat here, and doing so makes writing a little less lonely. ♥️
plus, we all reply :)
you may write different genres, but writers can still support writers. :)
and if you find someone who writes the same genre/likes the same things, SHOUT AT THEM AND SUPPORT THEM SO THEY'RE STUCK WITH YOU FOR LIFE !!!
i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing. i'm writing.
*internet cuts off tumblr and actually makes me write*
i'm telling you this because i'm struggling with it, too.
stop second guessing and doubting yourself. stop getting imposter syndrome while writing. stop comparing.
i know it's hard to stop, and this is a process i always struggle with. but it's awful when you get tunnel vision, seeing all the plot holes and every little grammatical error made. i open my wip's sometimes, and get such bad anxiety that i can't even write, because i'm so scared. it literally doesn't make sense, but it happens.
but learn to love what you write. grow attached to your characters, and write whatever you want. write for yourself first. and no matter what, whether it's one word or sentence that you wrote that day, be proud of yourself.
self validation and self care comes before a completed novel or mesmerizing characters.
<3
learning to love a first draft with all its flaws is also learning to love yourself
that feeling when you write and just. can't. stop >>
i keep wanting to write but i can’t because im stopping myself somehow from writing and I don’t know if it’s because I’m scared to finish this draft or just scared of what comes after or scared that I’ll have to stop again because I feel like I never have the time but it’s awful
im writing a little bit each day but it’s not MY wip or my current project and it just gets a little bit harder
but im going to get back into it, one because i want to, and two because i owe it to myself
this may just be me - but i realize how important support and validation is in writing. and now the affirmations where people read your work and say it's amazing.
that's great too, but i mean the direct support of your family and writer friends telling you that you can do it when you believe you can't. when you're about to slip into that space of insecurity, wondering, should i really do this? your family members tell you, yes, i told you that you shouldn't have done it, that you would regret it.
support is so, so important. and it shouldn't be half-assed, because our insecurity can latch onto that, too. and this isn't just for people who want to be full-time writers, but all writers, because anyone who writes is a writer.
but it hurts when the people closest to you don't understand how you feel. don't understand the frustration that sometimes comes with having writers' block, the joy of finding a character's origins, their turning point, their growth.
i still get messages from my loved ones: are you still doing this? is this the route you want to go? and it hurts, because i feel like they don't have faith in me, like they're watching a car go at 120 mph or something and waiting for it to create an accident.
but i can't let go of this. i crave writing, i think about it even when i can't write, and i miss the nostalgia of getting words on the page.
so don't give up. you can do it, you can be it. i believe in you, genuinely.
