Immortal Hulk 39 - Al Ewing and Joe Bennet
This scene just breaks my heart because it just reminds me so much of my head kids, especially Leaf. Poor little feller just wants to be loved.
🌃
If it's ok that toys get broked when playd with is it ok that the bad man broked me when we were playing big kid games?
Just wanna stop being scared 😭😭

Wish Inner Child was one of Moon Knights headmates in the 616 and nit just ultimate spidey. It's stupid that the only headkid in marvel is the Hulk since there never gonna let hulk have little time and stuff. Aurora (alpha flight) cood maybe have a headkid too

Sometimes I wish we could shapeshift so Leaf could have a little kid body when they're here and stop being distressed about our boobs.
appearance in the inner world vs the outer
looking into a mirror and seeing the body of a grown adult when you're still a preteen is bad
puberty shouldn't have happened yet
that's not me
that's not me
they look nothing like i do—
..whoamiagain?
i guess the one good thing to come out of this is i was right.. i knew something was wrong..normal people don't forget chunks of their life, days or run into people they don't recognise but insist they know you. normal people don't have flashbacks to things they don't remember. normal people don't hear voices. normal people don't have a world in their head where they see others and cling to them when you're not in the driver's seat of the body...
normal people don't get lost down a neverending spiral staircase in their mind

System littles sit in two camps istg
Camp one: Is a cute fluffy angel who's acts their age, will probably cry if you hug them for more than 30 seconds, give them headpats or tell them they're doing a good job. Probably likes stuffies, cuddles and shows as a reasonably normal child, maybe with a lil bit of trauma.
Camp two: Holds far too much power, emotion (especially anger), etc for their age and/or was forced to grow up too quickly leading to either, keeping a low numerical age with the thinking power of an adult...or the cunning of an adult. And this is often where your gatekeepers etc sit.
And the secret third, also pretty common camp; looks like camp one, holds parts of camp one, but is also camp two. Angel but make the angel angry
This. This. THIS. Social media is an echo chamber*. People forget this so so often.
When we were originally researching DID, I removed us from all kinds of DID / OSDD social groups and forums etc and made sure our host only read academic articles, both for/against DID and speak with professionals.
*an echo chamber is an environment in which people encounter beliefs that amplify or reinforce their preexisting beliefs (it's one of the reasons social media is SO notorious for spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories).
This might be controversial, and that's fine with me, but if you are new to discovering your DID/OSDD, please be mindful of how much time you are spending in online DID/OSDD forums and groups. It is very easy for these spaces to become echo chambers, and sociogenic illness does exist.
Talking to other people with DID/OSDD can be helpful for figuring things out, but be careful not to blindly absorb whatever people tell you.
Ultimately, figuring out your condition and the way your system works is between you and a licensed professional, not between you and people in a Discord server.
Some of us learned this lesson the hard way, and I imagine many young systems are still going to be learning it the hard way when they have to untangle real information about their symptoms from what strangers online have told them about their symptoms.
