I think i've mentioned this before but the whole Tae saying "you have a mental problem" is literally a mistranslation that was spread by Exo fans years ago as an attempt to start a smear campaign against BTS as a whole. Now Tae antis have taken it as the gospel truth and use it to start at smear campaign against Taehyung specifically. So no, Taehyung never said this. And he definitely never "outed" anyone and it's so awful to see people still spread this to this day.

I know all of the members get hate but there's a really weird element to the hate Taehyung gets in that so many people seem to respond to it with an attitude that 'it is what it is' and he should just eat shit and deal with it because 1) All idols get hated on 2) All BTS members get hated on 3) His popularity means more hate is expected 4) It's his own fault for smoking, dating, breathing etc

Like with ANY other member, you're allowed and able to call out the hate and criticism and have it be acknowledged by the general fandom and taken for what it is and responded to with the same energy but with Tae, shrugging it off and undermining it by responding with whataboutisim is considered a completely fair and normal response.

0T7s, neutrals and even some of his own fans will actively argue against trying to defend him, in general.

I honestly don't know why there is such a disparity that leads to uproar when another member is hated on and a 'meh, that's life' response when it's Taehyung but the disparity does exist and I've even seen other people who don't have any investment in Tae or BTS calling it out.

I'm not talking about most of the people following this blog, but I do feel that some of the people leaving these asks might fall into the category of believing themselves his fans or neutral at least but still holding him to different standards than they do the others.

Because for too many people who consider themselves 0T7 or neutral; criticising the other members is a travesty and unacceptable but criticising and passively undermining Taehyung is fair and just a matter of opinion.

He is so misunderstood. Some people genuinely believe he's cold and bitchy so that justifies the fandom being harder on him but if they used an ounce of brain matter they'd realise that every single person who knows him adores him. They want to protect him and shower him with love---even those who are younger than him. Not a single person who actually knows him speaks badly about him. His friends value him so highly and want to be around him and he's clearly such a bright presence in their lives.

But some people still act like he's earned the hate and criticism he gets, to a degree, and should just eat his lumps over it.

And it's not about popularity because I could write two posts today; one undermining Tae and one undermining Jimin or JK, for example and we all know the responses would be so different in how such criticism was tolerated.

BTS unfortunately counter a lot of negativity as a group and individuals but there's a different level of acceptance as to how negativity is tolerated and received when it comes to Taehyung, imo.

I hate it, there’s absolutely nothing in this fandom that bothers me more than the way some people think of Tae. When I think of Tae, I think of kindness, of cuddles, of patience, of attention, of hime wanting to make others feel good. And sure, there’s some edges on him (thankfully) but I cannot understand how anyone sees Tae and thinks of him as a conniving, attention seeker.

You defend them a lot, will you ever admit when they do something wrong? V going live like that was reckless, Jungkook not talking about V is not right. If we don't call them out for that things might go very wrong for them.

Excuse me anon! I will absolutely defend them from these takes I've seen go around the last week and even from before. They have done nothing wrong! A huge problem in this fandom is that members have so little room to exhibit just normal human behavior. Everything they do is being magnified to this huge problem, when in reality they are just living their lives. They commit no crimes, they are not hatefull, they are considerate, they are oftentimes way too kind to annoying fans, they are respectfull, they give army so much of themselves and it is somehow not ever enough. They have to put up with people telling them they do something wrong when they don't. What is the actual wrong they do? Like seriously, put it in words, translate it to normal behavior... and what is it that is so wrong that it is deserving of your judgement? Tae and Jk are grown men. They do not need fandom to tell them what they can and cannot do, or how they should behave.

Do they have some sort of responsibility to behave 'better' because they are famous rolemodels? I do think so to some extent. It's why I don't like the referrals to dieting much for instance. But they uphold that role very well in general. They are always telling army to take care of themselves, both mentally and physically. That responsibility does not however take away from their right to live their lives. To judge for themselves what they feel they can do. They are already so cautious in everything they do, please allow them their freedom when they feel fit.

No one is beyond critisism, but I think fandom should absolutely check themselves in deciding what is actually worthy of critisism.

idk how to feel when antis call tae an attention seeker and bring up the squid game costume behind the scenes footage as proof because why is it being framed in that manner in official content in the first place

Hi anon! Oh, I know how to feel when I see things like that.. it pisses me off.

Tae's litteral job is to seek attention... it's all members jobs actually. They are entertainers, what Tae did was entertain us. There's this negativ connotation about it whenever it is Tae doing something like this, because people (anti's) want to think badly of him for whatever reason. They don't stop to think that what Tae does is for amry, because he thinks army will enjoy it. It's not for his own benefit, though he probably feels good when it has the desired effect, but that is not a bad thing.

Tae is unique, and he has creative thoughts that sometimes others don't understand.. even his members. But his ideas come from a good and kind heart, and that is something the members do know and what anti's fail to understand.

BT21 has been doing a collab with McDonalds Franchises since April 2023. It is up to the individual franchises when they decide to roll out (probably owing to more local collabs they may running at the time). This is in no way connected to Taes picture and people should not try to join these dots. Hybe didn't have the courtesy to tell Taehyung his photo exhibit was happening, they wouldn't be working with him to test the feeling on MCD endorsement.
