Ok, so I know it's not my usual fair, but I just got my Hestia statue for my Altar, and I'm really really happy 😁 she actually came in, I think, a little earlier than expected, which is great 👍

For reference, this is what my Altar now looks like!

So, the statue is pretty obvious, it's definitely the only statue there so far, and it's in praise of Hestia, goddess of the Hearth. Also for Hestia is the big ass painting(made by one of my absolute best friends in the world who is unfortunately not on this app but made it for my birthday 'cause she's awesome like that!!!), and then a couple of basily, minty smells for the wax melter. I also have a more official altar for Hestia that sits on the mantle piece; it's a little mini forest candleholder thing that I made a while ago with a candle that really just reminds me of Her.

The car is for Hermes, god of Messengers and Thieves. It's mainly there because He helps me a lot when I'm driving, and it felt fitting, but there's also a sticker with the number 4 on it(his sacred number) and four flowers that seemed like his vibe. There's also a strawberry because it's one of his sacred foods, but low-key I always forget that, even though I'm constantly eating strawberries 😂 He has some wax scents, but not too many, just because there weren't that many that spoke to me for him.

Right now, all I have for Apollo is a sun sticker with seven crows(both his sacred number and his sacred bird. Fun fact about that, when I was looking for stickers to decorate the altar with, there were exactly seven crows, and I think that's pretty cool), a few scents(mainly summery fresh ones, right now I have a honeysuckle scent that just really spoke to me.), and a ring I got from my grandmother that isn't shown.

I do have a few items such as the ring holder, the smaller painting (made by the same girl who did the big one), and the heart that just seemed to fit. I don't directly pray to any deities that find those items symbolic, but it couldn't hurt to keep them handy, right?

Anyways, I have a bracelet for Hermes coming in the mail that's supposed to come soon, so maybe I'll post that, too. Have a good day!

about a month ago, hermes appeared in my dreams and told me something along the lines of "Hmmm, yes, you're a child of mine"

Oh! I see! Well, i doubt that he just forgot about you or something if he called you that!

I think deities are very understanding, and especially Hermes! You absolutely didn't miss the chance and you should try to reach out to him if you feel called to! Even if you don't wish to have a connection with him, i would personally advise you to use whatever divination method or communication method you prefer, and talk to him! As he probably has something valuable to say , even if you don't choose to have a relationship!

I was doing tons of research about Hermes and then i heard him say "i want you as my priestess" i thought i was being delusional so I didn't take it seriously

Well, the first thing I would do is research! I'm gonna assume you have enough knowledge about hellenism so i would advise you to take a few days and research: his worship, offerings, associations, history, and even people's UPG on him!

But don't procrastinate! When you feel like enough research is enough, actually introduce yourself to Hermes and communicate with him!

Ask him his boundaries, your boundaries, what he can teach you, what you can give him, etc...

I need some help 😭😭😭

I feel like Hermes has been reaching out for months, but i never really felt interested in working with him, i thought he gave up on reaching out to me! But i am getting a suspicious amount of Hermes imagery these days! And whenever i think of a specific word that starts with He or H, i replace it with Hermes, subconsciously.

I'm kinda unsure what to do, do i ask him to work with him? Or if the offer still stands?

Maybe i can properly likee... Introduce myself! Or does he know me already , since he is reaching out.

The intimacy of worship.

There’s something about walking through isles of a store and finding something that reminds you of your god. Or sitting down to write pages full of words detailing your love for them, giving them praises, talking about how they’ve helped you or how they’ve impacted your life. As a god, a friend, lover, sibling, or parental figure. Creating things in honor of them, dedicating pieces of art, finding silly things you just *know* they’d find hilarious, or helping others find their way to them just like you did.

Or finding them in everything you do.

I think about Hermes every time I’m writing, I think about Aphrodite every time I look in the mirror and bring myself to admire what I see, or how I think deeply about the type of love and devotion I’d want, my mind strays to Eros and Psyche. When I see and feel how much I hate certain emotions of mine, I think about how they can be expressed in healthy ways, and how I can lean on Dionysus and Ares without fear or judgement. When I feel the warmth of the sun on my skin, I think about our sun gods, and when the moon takes her rightful place in the sky, I think about our lovely moon goddesses. When a thunderstorm happens, I know I can say a bright hello to Zeus. When I’m doing house work with a frown, I know I can think of Hestia to make it a little less tiresome. When I’m clawing my eyes out because I can’t sleep, I know Hypnos will be by my side to make sure I can get a few restful hours.

They’re in everything. Every part of life that you wish to see them in, and I think that’s beautiful.

Begging Aphrodite to send me anyone who she thinks is fit to help me on my travels tomorrow because people scare me and anxiety is off the roof
