also i don’t think i’m actually otherlink? i misunderstood what it meant and for me whatever it is definitely isn’t a choice. like when i first got into fnaf a year ago and learned about springtrap i was overwhelmed by that same feeling i got about my theriotype, just in a different way. like “this guy gets it!” but instead of feeling like i *was* him, it was more like a strong familial bond or like a deep friendship.
it was because of really personal mental illness/dissociation stuff but tbf my therianism is also due to trauma so (i know not every therian is “born this way”/there are purely psychological therians and i’m sure the same applies to otherkin too! lmk if i’m wrong)
but like. this video Changed me ok. i watched this and i was like “i relate to this a normal amount in a normal way and this man is NOT my found family” (foaming at the mouth)

but like. is there a term for it? i thought otherlink was just like otherkin in that it’s not a choice, but instead of being the thing you’re just connected to it in some way, but i realized it *is* a choice, like copinglink. obviously i didn’t choose this, so is there a term for what i’ve experienced, and is it like this for anyone else? i’m curious

kinsidering that i might also be some kind of squirrel i’m ngl 💔 it would explain the phantom ears and tail but not the things on my back. and obviously i know phantom limbs don’t make a theriotype! it’s just something i’m thinking about because i have a lot of squirrel-like traits and tendencies maybe
phantom limbs keep getting on my FREAKING nerves!!! i keep getting the ears and tail and things on my back. i know the ears are more shaped like a squirrel’s and the tail is on the longer side, and the back things are somewhat wing-shaped but small and i can’t move them. it’s probably a fluke or confirmation bias though,,,,, today i was trying to research animals that might be similar to what i was feeling but all that did was give me a phantom muzzle because i was looking at so many images 💔
i cant help but feel like i have some other theriotype that i just can’t reach. maybe it’s some kind of mythical creature or pokémon? it definitely feels like a smaller mammal, like a rabbit, squirrel, cat etc
idk it’ll probably go away with time maybe,
currently questioning whether im ockin of vixen (my self-insert dsaf oc i made to ship with legacy jack) or if just like. the self insert self inserted a lil too much

thinking about the fact that perry the platypus is probably the first psychological kin i'm experiencing, if it's even a kintype, i'm still not sure. i need to watch more phineas and ferb to be sure
since i saw her for the first time, like five years ago, i always knew we had a very strong connection. something like "she's me" and "we're the same", and all of my friends agreed.
when i first discovered being kin, i was unsure. at the time i had only experienced being spiritual kin (with my first kinfirms being emalf and chara) and i knew i wasn't her spiritually.
but uhm, looking at it now, there's the possibility that she might be my first psychological kintype.
i'm going to look more into it.
I am still trying to find the best way for me to research my theriotypes to fully understand if I identify with them especially when species or breeds are similar
Does anyone have tips on like narrowing down searches? I would also just love to hear how other people in the community conduct research.

i'm starting to question my kintype again. i can't tell if this is my canine and deer 'types mixing or if i really am something else-
i get frequent phantom shifts of claws, teeth, and hooves, and short-lived phantom sensations (like tingling in the area) that's reminiscent of a tail, ears and antlers or horns.
so physically, i feel more like a deer (just with canine-like teeth and sometimes claws). but i don't get cravings for things like plants or fruit, i crave raw meat. i crave to strike fear into humans who dared to walk along the darkest path of the woods.
so, in short, i think i might be a not-deer, like this.
if anyone has any tips for understanding my kintype more, please let me know.
Random little thing, I have now [by that I mean for a little bit] been kinsidering ANOTHER MHA OCkin/noncanon character. This is fun, totally [slightly sarcastic].

I don't know much, lol. This basically came from me realizing that I sometimes [a lot actually] feel like I have/had a different quirk (power) and shit than I do/did as Zuki.
Help. Idk what's going on. I'll probably update on this situation when I know more about this kintype/possible kintype [it feels so weird to call it that, it's me, it's myself].
The fact that because of the nature [is that the right word?] of the/my quirk (power), I questioned two other OCs/non canon characters that I remember from being Zuki and neither fit properly. Also, I'm not sure if it's/I'm from the same AU as Zuki.
[This feels weird to explain and probably isn't even understandable by anyone but myself, lol].
I have no idea what my name even is/was, lol. Has anyone else ever experienced this, or is it just me? Lol.
Just realized maybe this is another Zuki kintype, like from a different AU but still Zuki [though that doesn't seem quite right, idk].

I'm bored, it's around 1:45 am (this time has changed a lot since I first started writing this, lol) where I am rn. Let's talk about my questioning OCkin type that I mentioned before [on like August 18th]. I don't know too much more than I did then (though it's been less than a month, soooo yeah). I just realized I never actually explained my quirk/power then, lol.
So, my quirk with this kintype was like a werecreature/animal shifting quirk. I could change into certain animals (canines, felines, and some birds [crows, ravens, birds in that family (is that the right word?)] and I could turn into a werecreature type being. That last part was more prominent (stronger and easier to change into) around full moons [typical for werecreatures in most things, lol]. My werecreature form was more canine like, especially wolf and dog like, though sometimes I was more feline like (idk why it would change, but it did).
When not in either form from my quirk, I looked human-like [I say it this way cause I am not human now and wasn't human then] but I had my ears and tail, which were both a mixture between canine and feline like, my tail was especially canine like and my ears were more of a "half and half" mix, lol. I am unsure if I had wings physically, if I didn't then I had phantom wings, which does seem kinda right cause I'm pretty sure I was trying to see if there was anything that could be made or done to actually give me my wings.
I don't know if it's my actual name from this kintype but I have been using Okami to refer to this kin, so add that to my list of names, lol (I genuinely have a list of 'preferred names')
