Mindful Living - Tumblr Posts
I received mey a woman who praised me because she loved how authentic and free I was about being myself.
The way our authentic self effects others around us is powerful. Be yours and stay true to that and you will always have happiness inside to light your way.

Remember to pay attention
On my walk today:
A black cat met my eyes, it was young and wary but defiant and didn't run away until I was a foot away.
I noticed that some of my neighbour's blackberries were getting ripe, they'll probably be ready to eat by the end of July which is earlier than usual.
I saw a small slug perched on the shell of a larger snail as they travelled the path together.
A crow and a stonechat (I think) fought to be the loudest, but the crow won of course.
It was warm tonight, the sun was low and hidden by a soft layer of clouds, but the heat from the day still lingered. Not hot, but warm enough to not wear a jacket, and pink and orange painted the clouds.
It is on these quick, daily walks that I feel most at peace and I honestly think that every witch or spiritual practitioner or whatever term you prefer, should take just 5 minutes of their day to stop and notice the world around them.
A Month of Growth: Embracing My Progress and Finding Strength in the Journey
It's been a month since I asked myself why I believe that I can't.
One month later, I find myself in a different space, both mentally and emotionally. The doubts that once clouded my mind still visit occasionally, but they no longer dominate my thoughts.
🌱✨ I've learned that progress isn’t linear, and it’s okay to stumble as long as I keep moving forward.

Over the past few weeks, I've focused on building better habits, ones that nurture my well-being rather than sabotage it. 💪🏽🌟
There were many days when the old, unhealthy patterns seemed so tempting, like a comforting embrace in the midst of uncertainty.
But I started recognizing those moments for what they were: temporary urges that didn’t have to define my actions.
🧠💖 I'm beginning to see that self-discipline isn't about being perfect or never slipping up. It's about showing up for myself consistently, even when I don't feel like it.

I've started small, setting achievable goals each day, and gradually, those small steps have led to bigger changes.
🌅💫 One of the most significant shifts has been in how I talk to myself.
I've stopped berating myself for not being where I want to be yet and instead started celebrating the fact that I'm on the journey.
I've realized that kindness towards myself isn't a reward for reaching some distant goal. It's a necessity for making the journey sustainable.
There’s a newfound sense of peace in knowing that I’m not racing against anyone, not even against time. I'm exactly where I need to be, learning exactly what I need to learn.

The fears and insecurities that used to paralyze me now serve as reminders of my growth. Every time I choose to act in spite of them, I’m proving to myself that I’m capable.
Looking back, I see how much I've evolved in just one month. 🌿🛤️
It wasn’t about a dramatic transformation but rather about the accumulation of small, consistent choices. I’m learning to trust myself, to believe that I can, and that belief is becoming stronger each day.
I know the journey is far from over, but I’m more equipped now than ever before. I believe in my ability to navigate whatever comes next, knowing that I have the tools to keep moving forward.
And in that belief, I find strength and hope for what lies ahead. 🙏🕊️

tiny daily habits for a more intentional life 🌱
morning journaling with your favorite tea
reading a poem before bed
taking a walk in nature (without headphones)
practicing mindful eating
decluttering one small space each day
writing handwritten letters to friends
creating a personal playlist for different moods
trying a new recipe once a week
unplugging for an hour each evening
starting a gratitude jar
Nowadays most of the time I feel like it’s hard to breathe even exist , i started crying while laughing, I’m afraid of laugh out loud because I don’t know when I start crying, I don’t know where to go, whom to talk to or what to do without crying, every step is heavy, I don’t think anyone can understand what I am feeling it’s hard even for me to understand what’s going on with me. All i can feel heaviness in my chest and so much pain in my shoulders so much pain that sometimes it feels like it will fell off of my body, and there’s always like a lump in between my throat it feels like I’ll get choked by it someday. But I think I’m doing just fine. Because everyone with whom I interact with on daily basis believes that I’m doing just fine or maybe I’m just good at putting up my better self front of them because I don’t know what else to do apart from moving forward and live. I can’t share anything to anybody because I don’t have anyone who can acknowledge my things. It’s getting hard, everything feels heavy to me and I don’t know how far i can go on like this. All dark and lonely i can feel. I try to love myself do things which I love but it’s seems impossible to do. I can see myself slipping into the same dark whole i once fought with and became a person i am. But I’m am afraid this time and lonely too. When I look around I can’t see anyone around me who can just be there for me. I don’t need anyone who fight my battles or do things for me, i just need someone who puts faith in me and love me at my worst. But I understand if I’m not going to love myself nobody can. I am the only one who can love myself the way I want to So it’s me who I really need and eventually everything going to be alright as always :)
Remember and let Mother Nature in every day it soothes your soul and feeds your heart with love ❤️

Embracing the Power of Presence: A Guide to Living in the Moment
Shaina Tranquilino
September 21, 2023

It's easy to get caught up in a whirlwind of thoughts and distractions that prevent us from truly experiencing life. Our minds often wander between regrets about the past or anxieties about the future, causing us to miss out on the beauty and joy of the present moment. However, by cultivating the art of presence, we can learn to fully immerse ourselves in each passing second, leading to a more fulfilling and authentic existence.
What is Presence?
Presence refers to a state of complete attentiveness and awareness in which we engage with our surroundings without judgment or preoccupation. It involves consciously directing our attention towards what is happening right now, allowing us to savor every experience, no matter how mundane or extraordinary.
Tips for Being Present:
1. Practice Mindfulness Meditation:
Mindfulness meditation is an effective way to train your mind and increase your ability to be present. By focusing on your breath or bodily sensations during meditation sessions, you learn how to observe your thoughts without getting entangled in them. This practice gradually extends into your daily life, enhancing your capacity for being present.
2. Engage Your Senses:
Take time each day to engage with your senses fully. Whether it's pausing to appreciate the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or feeling the warmth of sunlight on your skin; these small moments heighten your awareness and bring you closer to the present.
3. Let Go of Multitasking:
Contrary to popular belief, multitasking does not make us more efficient; it fragments our attention and prevents us from fully engaging in any given task or interaction. Instead, focus on one activity at a time and give it your undivided attention. You'll notice increased productivity and a deeper connection with what you're doing.
4. Cultivate Gratitude:
Practicing gratitude helps shift our attention to the positive aspects of life, allowing us to appreciate the present moment. Take a few moments each day to reflect on what you are grateful for, whether it's a supportive friend or a beautiful sunset. This simple exercise trains your mind to be more present and mindful throughout the day.
5. Embrace Imperfection:
Often, our desire for perfection prevents us from fully engaging in the present moment. Accept that life is imperfect, and rather than striving for an ideal outcome, focus on making the most of whatever circumstances arise. By doing so, you'll find greater fulfillment in every experience.
Being present is not something that can be achieved overnight; it requires consistent practice and dedication. However, by incorporating mindfulness into our daily lives and consciously redirecting our attention to the here and now, we can tap into the immense power of presence. As we learn to savor every moment without judgment or distraction, we embark on a journey towards living a truly fulfilling and authentic life – one where joy, gratitude, and meaning flourish abundantly. So why wait? Start embracing the power of presence today!
This is a Friendly Reminder to Slow Down and Enjoy the Little Things in Your Life
Shaina Tranquilino
November 29, 2023

Life has a tendency to move at a rapid pace, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from the present moment. In our pursuit of success, we often forget to appreciate the small joys that make life truly worth living. It's time for a friendly reminder to slow down and savor the little things that bring happiness into our lives.
1. Embrace Mindfulness:
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present in each moment, without judgment or distraction. By slowing down and paying attention to our surroundings, we can notice the beauty in everyday occurrences. Whether it's enjoying the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or relishing the warmth of sunlight on your skin, mindfulness helps us appreciate these fleeting moments.
2. Cherish Loved Ones:
In our busy lives, we sometimes forget to give our undivided attention to those who matter most – friends, family, and loved ones. Take a step back from daily routines and obligations; spend quality time with them, engaging in meaningful conversations or creating shared memories. These connections are invaluable sources of joy and support.
3. Find Joy in Nature:
Nature offers abundant opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation. Taking a leisurely walk through a park or sitting by a serene lake can do wonders for clearing our minds and lifting our spirits. Pay attention to the sights, sounds, smells, and sensations around you—whether it's admiring blooming flowers or listening to birdsong—to rediscover nature's ability to heal and inspire.
4. Pursue Hobbies:
Often neglected due to lack of time or prioritization, hobbies can be an essential source of joy in our lives. Engaging in activities we love not only provides relaxation but also allows us to tap into our creativity and passion. Dedicate some time each week to pursue hobbies such as painting, playing an instrument, gardening, or reading, and witness the positive impact it has on your overall well-being.
5. Practice Gratitude:
Gratitude is a powerful tool that can help us shift our focus from what we lack to what we have. Take a few moments each day to reflect on the things you are grateful for—a loving family, good health, laughter with friends, or even small achievements. By acknowledging and appreciating these blessings, we can cultivate contentment and joy in our lives.
In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life without taking a moment to appreciate its beauty. This friendly reminder serves as an invitation to slow down and cherish the little things that bring happiness into our lives—whether it's savouring a delicious meal, connecting with loved ones, enjoying nature's wonders, pursuing hobbies, or embracing gratitude. Remember that life is about more than just achieving goals; it's about finding joy in every moment along the way. So take a deep breath, pause, and allow yourself to revel in the simple pleasures that make life truly meaningful.
Navigating Life's Uncertainties: Living with Undiagnosed Illness
Shaina Tranquilino
December 18, 2023

Life often throws us curveballs, and one of the most challenging ones is when we experience chronic illness without a clear diagnosis. It can be incredibly frustrating to endure symptoms, seek medical advice, but find no answers. Yet, despite this uncertainty, it is crucial to remember that life goes on and that there are ways to continue living meaningfully while managing undiagnosed illnesses. Let's explore some strategies for navigating this perplexing journey.
1. Educate Yourself: While doctors may not have all the answers yet, taking charge of your health by gathering information about your symptoms can be empowering. Research various conditions aligned with your symptoms and discuss them with medical professionals during appointments. Stay informed about potential treatment options or lifestyle changes that could alleviate your discomfort.
2. Seek Support: Living with an undiagnosed illness can feel isolating, but you are not alone in this struggle. Reach out to support groups or online communities where individuals facing similar challenges share their experiences and coping mechanisms. Not only will you gain valuable insights and emotional support, but you may also discover previously unexplored avenues for diagnosis or symptom management.
3. Practice Self-Care: Caring for yourself physically and emotionally becomes even more critical when dealing with an unknown condition. Prioritize self-care activities such as regular exercise (within your capabilities), maintaining a balanced diet, getting enough restful sleep, and finding relaxation techniques that work for you—whether it's meditation, deep breathing exercises, or engaging in hobbies that bring joy.
4. Focus on What You Can Control: Though the lack of a concrete diagnosis might make you feel helpless at times, it is important to focus on what you can control in your daily life. Concentrate on managing symptoms through healthy lifestyle choices like reducing stress levels, avoiding triggers, pacing activities based on energy levels, and practicing mindfulness. By taking charge of what you can control, you can regain a sense of agency over your own well-being.
5. Seek Alternative Approaches: When conventional medicine struggles to provide answers, exploring alternative therapies or complementary medicine might be worth considering. Acupuncture, herbal remedies, chiropractic care, or naturopathic treatments are just a few examples of potential avenues to explore. However, it is crucial to consult with medical professionals before embarking on any new treatment path.
6. Maintain a Positive Mindset: Living with an undiagnosed illness can be mentally draining, but maintaining a positive mindset can make all the difference. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family who understand your situation and encourage your efforts to find solutions. Engage in activities that bring you joy and focus on gratitude for the things that do go well in your life. Remember that there is always hope for finding answers and improving your quality of life.
Living with an undiagnosed illness presents its unique set of challenges, but it doesn't have to define who you are or what you're capable of achieving. While waiting for answers from medical professionals, empower yourself by seeking knowledge, support, and alternative approaches to managing symptoms effectively. Most importantly, maintain a positive mindset as you navigate this uncertain journey—one day at a time—with the hope that clarity will eventually come your way.
Happiness is Not a Destination, It is a Way of Life
Shaina Tranquilino
January 12, 2024

In our pursuit of happiness, we often fall into the trap of viewing it as an end goal or destination that we need to reach. We convince ourselves that once we achieve certain milestones or acquire specific possessions, only then will we find true happiness. However, this mindset overlooks the fact that happiness is not something external; instead, it is an internal state of being. In reality, happiness is not a destination but rather a way of life.
1. Embrace the Present Moment: One of the key aspects of understanding that happiness is a way of life is learning to embrace the present moment. Many individuals continuously postpone their happiness for some future event or accomplishment. However, by doing so, they miss out on the joy and beauty that exists in everyday life. Cultivating mindfulness and being fully present allows us to appreciate the small things and find contentment in every phase of our journey.
2. Shift Your Perspective: Happiness stems from within and can be cultivated through how we choose to perceive our surroundings and circumstances. By shifting our perspective towards gratitude and positivity, we open ourselves up to experience joy even during challenging times. Realizing that setbacks are merely opportunities for growth and that hardships teach valuable lessons enables us to maintain a positive outlook on life.
3. Focus on Relationships: Human connections are essential for leading a happy life. Building strong relationships and nurturing meaningful connections with others add depth and richness to our existence. Prioritizing quality time with loved ones helps create lasting memories filled with laughter, support, and love – all vital elements contributing to overall happiness.
4. Practice Self-Care: Self-care plays a crucial role in maintaining a fulfilling lifestyle focused on happiness. Taking care of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being should be prioritized regularly. Engage in activities that bring you joy – whether it's reading a book, practicing yoga, or indulging in a hobby. By investing time in self-care, you foster happiness within yourself, which positively impacts all aspects of life.
5. Seek Personal Growth: Another important aspect of embracing happiness as a way of life is committing to personal growth and self-improvement. Continuously seeking opportunities for learning and development allows us to expand our knowledge, skills, and perspectives. This pursuit not only brings a sense of accomplishment but also enhances our sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Happiness is not a destination that can be reached through external achievements or possessions; it is an ongoing journey that requires conscious effort and mindset shifts. By embracing the present moment, shifting our perspective, focusing on relationships, practicing self-care, and seeking personal growth, we can cultivate happiness as a way of life. Instead of waiting for happiness to find us at some distant point in the future, let us choose to live each day with gratitude, joy, and contentment – making happiness an integral part of our lives. Remember: true happiness is not found outside ourselves; it resides within us all along.
Embracing the Storm: How to Stay Strong and Carry On Amid Chaos
Shaina Tranquilino
January 19, 2024

Life is a beautiful journey, but it's not always smooth sailing. At times, circumstances may conspire against us, pushing us into a state of turmoil where everything around seems to be falling apart. However, in these moments of chaos, we have the power to rise above our challenges and find strength within ourselves. Let's explore some strategies that can help you stay strong and carry on when life becomes overwhelming.
1. Acknowledge your emotions:
When facing adversity, it's crucial to honour your feelings rather than suppressing them. Allow yourself to experience sadness, frustration, or anger without judgment. By acknowledging these emotions, you give yourself permission to heal and move forward with resilience.
2. Seek support from loved ones:
Remember that you do not have to face life's trials alone. Reach out to friends or family members who genuinely care about your well-being. Sharing your burden with someone trustworthy can provide solace and perspective during challenging times. Don't hesitate to ask for help when needed; vulnerability often brings people closer together.
3. Practice self-care:
Amid chaos, practicing self-care becomes even more vital as it recharges your emotional batteries. Engage in activities that bring you joy and peace – whether it’s reading, painting, going for walks in nature, or indulging in hobbies you love. Prioritizing self-care allows you to replenish your energy levels and maintain mental clarity amidst adversity.
4. Reframe negative thoughts:
Our minds have an incredible ability to shape our reality based on how we perceive situations. Instead of succumbing to negativity bias and dwelling on what's going wrong, consciously choose to reframe your thoughts positively. Focus on opportunities for growth that arise from setbacks or failures; this shift in mindset will empower you with renewed determination.
5. Set small achievable goals:
In trying times, setting small, achievable goals can help you regain a sense of control and purpose. Break down your larger challenges into bite-sized tasks that will lead you toward progress. Celebrate each milestone achieved, no matter how insignificant it may seem. The satisfaction of accomplishing these smaller goals will fuel your motivation to keep moving forward.
6. Cultivate resilience through gratitude:
Gratitude is a powerful tool for cultivating resilience during adversity. Take time each day to reflect on the things you are grateful for, even amidst chaos. By focusing on what remains intact rather than what's falling apart, you build strength within yourself and gain perspective on life's challenges.
7. Embrace change and adaptability:
Life is constantly changing, and sometimes our ability to adapt becomes crucial for survival. When faced with unexpected circumstances, try embracing change instead of resisting it. Acceptance allows us to find new paths, discover hidden opportunities, and grow as individuals throughout the process.
As humans, we possess an incredible capacity for resilience in the face of adversity. Remember that storms do not last forever – they eventually pass, leaving behind valuable lessons and stronger versions of ourselves. By acknowledging emotions, seeking support, practicing self-care, reframing thoughts positively, setting achievable goals, nurturing gratitude, and embracing change, we can stay strong and carry on despite everything falling apart around us. Trust in your inner strength; you have the power to overcome any storm that comes your way.
The Fulfilling Journey of Being a Reiki Practitioner
Shaina Tranquilino
February 5, 2024

People are constantly seeking ways to improve their physical and mental well-being. One holistic practice that has gained significant popularity in recent years is reiki. As a reiki practitioner myself, I can confidently say that this path brings immense fulfillment, not just for those we help but also for our own personal growth. In this blog post, let's explore why being a reiki practitioner is so deeply fulfilling.
1. Empowering Others:
As a reiki practitioner, one of the most rewarding aspects is the ability to empower others on their healing journey. Through gentle touch or distance healing, we channel universal life force energy to balance and harmonize the recipient's energetic system. Witnessing clients experience deep relaxation, stress relief, pain reduction, emotional release, and overall well-being is incredibly fulfilling. Knowing that you've played a part in someone's healing process creates an indescribable sense of joy and purpose.
2. Creating Positive Energy Exchanges:
Reiki sessions create powerful energy exchanges between the practitioner and client. During a treatment, both parties immerse themselves in a serene atmosphere where positive intentions permeate the space. This exchange enables profound connections with individuals seeking healing and promotes an environment conducive to fostering trust and compassion. The shared experiences during treatments often result in lasting relationships built on genuine care and understanding.
3. Personal Growth and Self-Healing:
While offering healing to others, reiki practitioners embark on an inner journey of self-discovery and growth. Regularly practicing reiki allows us to become more attuned to our own energy systems, bringing about personal transformation and healing. By working on ourselves, we enhance our abilities as practitioners – becoming clearer channels for divine energy to flow through us effortlessly.
4. Cultivating Mindfulness:
Reiki inherently encourages mindfulness in both practitioners and recipients alike. The practice requires us to be fully present, focusing on the energy flowing through our hands and into the recipient's body. This heightened state of awareness fosters a deep connection with the present moment, enabling practitioners to let go of distractions and worries. The mindfulness cultivated through reiki spills over into all areas of life, leading to increased clarity, peace of mind, and overall well-being.
5. Being Part of a Supportive Community:
The reiki community is a tight-knit group that shares a common passion for healing and spiritual growth. Engaging with fellow practitioners allows for valuable exchanges of knowledge, experiences, and techniques. Participating in workshops, seminars, or reiki circles not only expands our understanding but also provides ongoing support from like-minded individuals who understand the unique journey we are on.
Being a reiki practitioner is truly fulfilling in countless ways. From witnessing the transformative effects it has on others' lives to experiencing personal growth and cultivating mindfulness within ourselves – each aspect contributes to an enriched existence. By embracing this holistic practice, we become catalysts for positive change while simultaneously nurturing our own well-being. If you feel drawn to healing work and have an innate desire to make a difference in people's lives, consider embarking on the fulfilling journey of becoming a reiki practitioner.
