Peaky Blinders Fic - Tumblr Posts
Soooo uhmm hiii I don't usually know how request works but I'm gonna give it a try because you write freaking good stories! Can I request a Shelby!Sister fic where in she and her family used to be really close (she was the closest to Tommy đ„ș) then everything changed after the war and they barely have time to spend with her because the business was booming and everything and she had to raise Finn on her own too. Then she turned 18 and she was finally allowed to work in the business and she was happy but then money goes missing, they accused her of stealing it (bcoz like her job was writing down all the money that enters like she records it) she got fed up, told her everything (her problems, the neglect she experienced etc. ) she realized that she deserved better than this after all all she did was lookout for her family when everything was going downhill. She was always there for them but they where never there for her. So she left home. Started working 24/7. Finding jobs, getting an education, and making a name for herself. Moving to London and then to the US. Then many years later she's successful. She became a doctor, she has business all around the world. And when she can, she helps people in need. Then she meets her brothers (and family members) again. DUN DUN DUNNNN realizations where made. hehe the rest is up to you, you can change whatever you want hehehe. If ever you decide to do this request for me I just want you to know that that will make me incredibly happy. This scenario has been stuck in my head for monthsss its just that I suck at writing things (clearly, from the way this request is written) anyways, thank you so muchhhh! And I love your stories very much! I always come back and reread them! I can't get eough of it đ« I hope you have a good day! :))))

Okay first of all I'm sorry this took forever. I've literally been working on this for like three weeks. No matter what I do I just keep wanting to add things or fix them... Honestly I have other parts planned out that didn't make in. I'm a hot mess for this idea. I changed some stuff... Also I added in a romance and I'm sorry not sorry. Really hope you enjoy this and thank you for sharing it with me. If you all enjoy let me know and I might post some extra bits I have planned for it.
XOXO
Warnings: heart break, depression, anxiety, peaky related stuff, kissing, flirting. Happy ending because I'm not capable of hurting the Shelby fam. If you want to spoil the romance - its in the tags!

Being a Shelby meant very little growing up. It was a name that was often cursed for the criminal actions of your father. As a little girl you remember looking up at the loud man, watching him sway around the house temper flaring. Adults approaching you on the streets uttering death threats for you to pass along to the men of your house. But almost every memory you had of your parents or other people also included the back of Tommyâs leg. He was always standing in front of you and it never took long for him to scoop you up into his arms and carry you away.
Tommy was always more of a parent to you when you were young, he didn't play dolls with you like Ada, but he always took the time to try and teach you how to think. Eventually you were old enough for it to become more brotherly. By that time your mother was dead and your father had disappeared. Polly took hold of the family and you followed in suit, raising Finn and Johnâs kids.
You thought that you owed it to the family to look after the children as Tommy had taken so much time over the years to help you. So you managed your school work, cleaning, and all the children. You told yourself that you were just as important as the rest of the family, this was just your job right now.
The war hit and things fell on your shoulders more than ever. Wasn't long before you had to watch your brothers leave. Youâd been Pollyâs right hand man after that. The Children were old enough to be in school and out in the streets with the other kids. It caused a bit of tension between you and Ada but it was never spoken about so you let it go.
The things you had to do to pull the family through, you would never speak of again. You wrote letters about how lucky the family had been, but only you and Polly knew the extent to how badly things were. No point in worrying the boys with things they couldn't change.
All three boys came back. You weren't naĂŻve, you didn't think they would be the same as they were, hell you were only a small fraction of the girl you were before they left. But nothing prepared you for what it would be like.
They tried their best to settle in. Tommy was not your loving big brother anymore, he fought against Polly and all the changes we had to make while they were away. She tried to protect you claiming sheâd done most of it herself.
No use in telling him that it had been you, burying bodies, up to your eyebrows in illegal trades. But the Shelby name was cursed by all, and the rumors caught up with him eventually. People always underestimate the capabilities of women, how the Shelby family pulled through got placed on your willingness to whore yourself out. Which you would always be grateful for, was not the case.
Tommy outright refused to look at you in the eyes after that. He was cold, he drank too much, and he didn't have an ounce of gratitude for what youâd done.
No one did.
But you continued on, reduced to a bookkeeping position. You worked in the corner, got spoken over in family meetings. The only thing that proved it was happening was the occasional sympathetic glance from Polly. It hurt like hell, but youâd been through worse. At least the money was coming inâŠ
Until it was gone. The shop was broken into, and despite John being the last person in. The last person to lock up. Heâd sold you down the river claiming youâd been there when he left and thatâs why the door wasnât locked.
Thomas started in on you, screaming his head off about what youâd done and what youâd been rumored to do. Tears welled up in your eyes as your heart raced, watched as everyone stood there and let it happen. Death would have been a kindness as opposed to standing there watching someone who used to be your sole protector tear into you with a viciousness reserved for the enemy. He screamed about how hard he was working to pull the family out of this life of poverty, as if he hadn't come home to destroy all the work youâd done. Then it finally snapped, whatever strings that had tied you to this family were not as strong as you believed they were. You were as good as the enemy to them, it just took you too long to realize it.
With him standing inches from your face shouting, those blue eyes looking at you wide with disgust. You took a big breath in, curling your slender fingers into a small fist. He paused for a moment, giving you the opening you needed to get on with the rest of your life.
âIf anyone knows a thing about working hard, and being underappreciated itâs me. But because I'm such a kind woman, Iâll do you all the favor of a lifetime.â You turned and walked out of there with your head held high. No one followed you out but you heard them shouting at him to go make it right between the two of you.
You didn't have many things to pack, within fifteen minutes you were back to your gypsy roots. The rain falling on you as tears stained your cheeks.
This was the worst day of your life. As you got on the train to London with nothing more than a bag and a shattered heart, you had no idea that your life was just beginning.
_________________________________________
You watched as you transformed into many things in this time of darkness. You were finally separate from the thing that had defined you your entire life. What were you without it? Being raised and drowned in that life how could you have possibly grown something separate in the depths of your soul? How could you be anything different than the poor gypsy choices that have plagued your family for generations. It was their blood, their bone, their skin, the hum of your bloody heart was more theirs than it would ever be yours.
Surely that's how it worked. And yet you kicked and bled to escape that sentence, working three times harder than the people who frequented your new life. You were determined to rise up above this, find something in the darkness of your soul that had the strength to persevere past your heritage and the consuming bleak world around you.
If you were put here, now, of all the things you could have been, there must have been a reason. Perhaps that was just another feature to the grayness that enveloped you in this world, maybe there was no purpose. Maybe you should just become hardened, fade to nothingness, enjoying the bitter-sweet taste of irrelevance and all the freedom it offersâŠ
Or you could make something better. Youâd accepted, after many nights sick from drink, that you were going to die now, tomorrow, and everyday until it actually happened. When the final blow would land would always be a delicious mystery a step ahead of you. So naturally you might as well do something with the time you had, and figure out what's on the other side of death's door when it opened to you.
At least you would be leaving your name on something separate from the savagery of this place. Something divine and entirely your own.
London was where youâd made peace with yourself and the spirits that stood behind you. London was where your bones became strong enough to be your own.
America was when you started to heal. After years of hard work you graduated top of your class, you were a doctor, often one spoken about in very high regard. Your heart broke over the man you left behind, but it was something that had to be doneâŠ.
You had a top floor apartment where you could look over the ocean that stood as a barrier between you and your old life. Often storming as if to show you that there was no way back.
It was a place that made you feel safe. You became a name known to the rich and poor alike, meaning you went where you wanted to and no one said anything about the large dog that stayed at your side.
Everyday you saw the strength of ordinary people and it renewed your faith every breath you took. When youâd see a woman's life improve over your education, or a child recover, a man cry over his newborn, you knew youâd made the right choice in London. The mark you were making would make up for the wrongs committed by your hands and blood.
Things were chaotic and stressful in the most peaceful way possible. Your mind was your own and your heart was shared with many. Youâd made friends with some of the women you worked with, bonds you were grateful for as they made you laugh, and their mothers held you tight when they had you over for dinners.
Your dog, Aminta stayed close to your side which proved very useful wandering the city at all hours for house calls. She kept you sane and often barked at you when you drank too much.
Things were going better than you thought possible for yourself.
You just finished helping with a particular tricky birth and laid down on one of the sofas in the women's change room. Light streamed through the windows and you wondered how it could possibly still be day time. The space was very cozy after youâd had your way with it, it was a change room with lockers but youâd moved some furniture in so it looked more like a living room. Aminta lumbered over and sat with her head placed on your stomach. You closed your eyes, having missed her presence in the treatment room.
âThere you are! How did it turn out then?â Betty called out walking through the door. You watched as she looked herself over in the mirror.
âSuccessful.â You murmured.
âCalm down woman! You only saved two people this morning. Try to contain your excitement!â she teased, causing you to smile.
âI am so tired, and I can't feel my feet, I can't feel anythingâ
âJoin the club. At least your shift is over darilinâ oh by the way there was a phone call for you. Some man with the name Shelby.â She said, giving you a strange look. She often found your lack of love life something that needed to be sorted, but eventually she adopted the theory that perhaps something awful had happened to you and it was better to let you find your own way.
âWhat?!â You shot up sending Aminta into high alert. âWhat was the name??â You shuddered thinking that perhaps all that storming sea wasn't enough to keep yourself safe after all.
âThomas? Look if this is the one you're running from. Go straight to my parents place and Iâll take Tod to your place after to grab some of your things. Iâll call my momma -â Your head started to spin and you watched her worry over you.
âNo no, Iâll call him. Heâs my brother. I can take the call. Maybe that will be enoughâŠâ Your heart ached at her willingness to help you. âIf things donât go well Iâll let you know.â
She came closer to you and a waft of perfume hit you. She slipped you the piece of paper with a phone number written in her loopy writing.
âCall him right now in front of me so I can get things sorted before my shift.â She pointed to the phone and you were shocked enough to do it.
âMaybe just give me some space?â You asked in a small voice she nodded and stepped out into the hallway.
âShelby.â Pollyâs voice called out over the line and your stomach dropped.
âThomas called me at my place of work?â You started coldly. You heard a sharp intake of breath on the other end of the line.
âDarling is that you?â Her voice shook in a way that brought years of pain flooding into your mind.
âYesâ You said as naturally as you could.
âThat's her, hand it over.â You hear his voice in the background. There was a sound of fabric rustling.
âNO I wont have you take her away again Thomas!â You heard her snap at him, this was a mistake you thought heavily. Aminta let out a wine, pushing her face into your leg. You sat down and took a deep breath.
âFamily needs you, we are moving to do some business in London. Our contact won't meet with us unless you're present.â
âYou want me to come all the way across the ocean. For a meeting in a world I moved passed? Nice try.â You said slightly amused. You loved how unbothered your voice sounded.
âI will make it worth your time, Iâll pay for the trip, pay you a hefty amount, as well as making a considerate donation to your Womenâs fund of $20,000 pounds.â
This was how he was going to do it. The bastard. You could do a lot of good for people with that donation. Fucking bastard. You knew who they were meeting. You knew why that man wanted you there. You groaned internally, at the raise in your heart rate.
âPut it in writing and Iâll sign it when I arrive.â
âDeal. You have a place on a ship leaving tomorrow at six am.â
âTomorrow is no good. I have a meeting that morning. Iâll leave Monday after my affairs are in order.â
In case I don't make it back.
He sighed and swore softly.
âIâll make that work.â
âIâll see you then I guess.â
âThank you.â His voice sounded hesitant, like the words were new to him. He cleared his throat. âFor taking the call and coming back. Be safe on the way over, alright. Last I recalled you swam like a stone.â
âLotâs has changed since then.â You responded shortly.
âI look forward to hearing about it.â
âGood byeâ
âTake careâ His voice rang out in your mind for a long while after the line went dead. Betty poked her head in and saw you frozen in place. She took the phone from your hand and placed it back on the hook. You realized that Aminta had gone to get her.
âSorry. Iâm okay.â You took a deep breath trying to calm the dog down. âMy family needs me to come home.â
âFor how long?â
âIâm not sure. But I told them I would go on Monday.â
âWell there are a few good things about that. There were some rich callers from London that requested you to help with an experimental surgery. Meaning you can do it while you're gone. Marie can take our caseload and give it to the newbies. Tod should be able to help out momma while Iâm gone, lord knows he should be doing more already. Itâs gonna be a good experience for them. Show âem what they're missing.â She prattled on for a while about how Marie will be good at looking over everything, before it clicked that she was going with you.
âBetty. No. You are not going my family are- Itâs complicated - they - itâs messy and -â
âThey are British gangsters, It will be dangerous, they could hurt you - Am I missinâ anything darlin?â
âHOW ON EARTH DO YOU KNOW THAT?â You hissed.
âOne time when we were drunk you accidentally introduced yourself with the wrong last name and I looked into it. I figured the story fit.â She waved her hands around you.
âAnd you just-â
âKept it a secret.â She nodded. â I decided to keep being your friend, and thatâs not changed.â Betty gave you a small smile.
âGood lord.â You murmured.
âI gotta tell momma! I'll tell the boss we are taking the job in London, then we need to go shopping!!!!â She was trying to make you feel better, something you appreciated but it didn't reach your heart the way it should.
âLook if you come with me I can't guarantee that we will make it back. Things are dangerous over there. This kinda stuff can stick with you for the rest of your life.â
âIâve been looking out for you since you started here at this hospital and Iâm not stopping now.â She answered in a serious tone.
âWell then don't worry about shopping, nothing here compares to the shops there. Save your money for when we get there.â You watched her do a little happy dance. You canât imagine what the contrast between her and your family was going to feel like.
___________________________________________________________
The journey was surprisingly fun. Thomas adjusted things to add Betty and Aminta on to your trip. It was ritzy and expensive, you spent most of it half cut with her partying and gambling. In the evenings she stayed up as you described your family members and some of the backstory.
You were happy that she was happy. Sheâd never left the city she was born in, her family were good people and from very poor beginnings. All of them had worked very hard to be where they were now. You weren't certain what this journey would bring, but you felt you owed her this fun as she was the main source of brightness in your life.
You arrived at the station after trying to make it look like you hadn't spent the whole journey drunk. You thought you both looked polished, and you were shocked by the greeting party.
The whole family was there outside the doors looking for you. Fin was taller than you, Aunt Polly looked like sheâd been crying. Two new women were there, Arthur and John looked nervous. And Tommy looked like himself. Unimpressed and tired.
âIs that them?â Betty whispered. To you they looked like a family that had hurt you to the point of near death, to her she probably saw the sparkling cars, the expensive clothing, the way other people gave them space and looks of envy.
âThatâs them.â You took her arm and walked out of the place. You watched as they took you in and then shifted to Betty on your arm. Polly moved away from them and quickly took you into her arms. You allowed her to hold you tightly. She whispered words of longing in your ear, and you hated yourself for it but you melted into her touch. She was the only mother you remembered and that was a challenging thing to turn away from. You watched as Betty took your example of a greeting and awkwardly hugged everyone. John looked like he was ready to be his usual self but you saw Tommyâs cold eyes land on him and watched the humor disappear.
Fin was the next person to give you a hug, there was a lot of emotion in his eyes and you realized that this trip was going to be a lot more difficult than you realized. Aminta stayed close to your side taking everyone in.
You were introduced to Johnâs wife Esme, then you shook Graceâs hand, deciding that youâd met corpses that were warmer. Seemed fitting sheâd be with Thomas.
âMissed you kiddoâ John said quietly, pulling you into an awkward hug. You started to struggle with keeping yourself neutral. The look on Arthur's face was what almost broke you. He held your small frame tightly, and let out a soft howl.
âArthur, itâs alright. Sheâll be around all week.â Tommy said, patting his shoulder.
âBold of you to assume that,'' Betty said in an unusual tone for her sunny personality. âWeâve got a surgery to perform and lots of meetings to attend while here.â You were floored by the way she went up against him. But she didn't back down against him, she wanted to make a statement about you that said Successful without you.
He looked at her from under his hat, you watched as Esme seemed particularly amused. Tommy only turned and pulled you into a hug.
âLooks like youâve done well for yourself! Thatâs our girl.â His words hit you hard and you were grateful that it ended the reunion. You were shuffled into a car and boys put your suitcases in the boot.
__________
Your bones adjusted to the soft mattress under you. Tears started to spill and you were grateful that you had a separate room from Betty.
Memories from your childhood flooded your mind and soon you were struggling to breathe. Finally your mind slid down to the place you were avoiding.
The man that caused all this meeting nonsense. Youâd ended on good terms, you had two options at the time: Move to America for the job opportunity of a lifetime - or - Stay and die in a gang conflict.
Memories of his hands cradling your face, the way his breath tasted the last time he placed a soft kiss to your lips. How he held you there with his forehead pressed to yours. Whispered promises in a language you didn't speak, and yet the words were painfully etched into the layers of your heart.
He sent you away with a fury that still burned you.
Now you were back, your family pretending to miss you, and you would have to sit in a meeting with everyone.
The mess of emotions threatened to choke you further. You didn't care about Thomas or his plans or the family business, thatâs not why you agreed to any of this.
You came back because it was an excuse to see him again.
_____________
You woke up to the phone ringing loudly. Your mouth was dry and you could barely open your eyes. You grabbed the phone hating how cold it felt in your fingers.
âWhat?â You grumbled.
âAre you available today?â Tommyâs voice called through the receiver sounding like a megaphone pressed to your ear. You sighed in annoyance.
âFor what?â You tried to think of what day it was.
âI was hoping to spend the day with youâ You couldn't tell anything from the tone of his voice, which irritated you further.
âJust us?â You asked.
âYes, Polly wants to see you in the evening if you have the time.â
There was a shift in your body, you knew deep down that you couldn't put this off any longer. You were supposed to talk with Thomas. Something needed to be said. The more logical part of your brain reminded you that the only options for the day was to go shopping or wallow over a broken heart that should be forgotten.
âOkay. I have all day so that should be fine.â You answered quietly.
âIâll come by and pick you up in a half hour.â
The phone went dead and the possibilities started to pile up in your mind. Was this going to be some kind of business nonsense?
___
You watched as the green countryside flew past you, the cab filled with cigarette smoke and a heavy silence.
Tommy had dragged you out to the countryside to take you on a picnic. You rode horses the rest of the way in, stopping at a clearing he frequented often, you watched him climb off his horse and lay a blanket out on the grass. Aminta wandered around, happy to be out of the city for once.
Heâd brought you treats that you used to like when you were a kid. Guilt pooled in his eyes as he watched you snack on a sandwich.
âSuppose we have some business to discussâ He said while chewing on a mint leaf. The last thing you wanted was to discuss business but you gave him a small nod anyways.
âI didnât like how things ended.â His words hit you like a truck. He paused for a moment trying to find his words. â I tried to find you afterwards but you were gone. If you were that well hidden I eventually decided to let it go. You knew where to find us - and then this came up and - I - had to call Winston Churchill and ask a favor before I finally found ya.â He closed his eyes. âThings that were said about you weren't true. Even if they were true it shouldn't have mattered. I just gave so much, lost so much and to come home and see that youâd given every bit of yourself away.â His jaw clenched.
You gave him a few moments, shock coursing through you. How the hell were you supposed to do this?
âWhen I came home to see everything, it just made everything I did worthless. I did all of that for you lot, coming home to see you, I couldnât handle it. I wanted things to be legal and they were further from it than imaginable. Iâm still trying to get us out, but out of everyone, I didn't want your hands dirty.â
âWhy not?â You asked, mind still spinning.
âBecause you were the one that was going to make it. You wanted to go to school, you had the marks, you had the brains. You had enough inside you to pull yourself out of this place the right way. I wanted to do it for you, I was working on it and figured I had the time to sort everything out with you.``
âI donât know what to sayâ You mumbled as tears started to sting your eyes.
âYou donât have to say anything. Since you left Polly has been harder than ever. Finn tolerates me, just barely. When we couldn't find you John tried to jump into the cut, like mum. Arthur, heâs not well. I don't know how much further he has in him.â He ran his hands over his face. âYou donât ever have to forgive me, donât have to be around me. Just please try to see the others. If you canât forgive John then donât but please speak to Ada, Polly, Arthur, and especially Finn.â His voice was pleading and you wanted more than anything to hold him. He looked pale, too pale, running around with a family that hated him.
You scooted over to him and rested your head on his shoulder. He flinched and quickly pulled you into a side hug, holding you awkwardly. You felt him place a kiss on top of your head.
Something inside you felt as if it had fallen back into place.
âCan I ask you some questions?â He asked.
âSureâ You murmured as he let you go. You placed your head back on his shoulder enjoying the sun hitting your face.
âHow do you know my contact in London?â
âTakes alot for a girl to get through medical school. Betty is the only woman I know with the same credentials as me. World of hell she had to go through to get there. I needed a few things when I got to London and I only had a specific skill set to get them. He helped me out and I helped him back.â
âThatâs all then? Old business partner?â You coughed awkwardly, damn him. You spent years hating him and yet much like when you were little you still couldn't lie to him. Your face always got hot and your words became jumbled. You could lie to the whole world, even to yourself sometimes, but never to Polly and Tommy.
âWhy do you ask?â
âHe seemed eager to see you.â Tommy answered hesitantly.
âI wanted one life, he lives another. Unfortunately they don't mix.â The words were strangled and you desperately wanted to leave the topic there. Tommy seemed relieved.
âGood. I donât want him anywhere near you. Donât trust himâ He said sternly and you rolled your eyes.
______
Polly was all over you that evening and you agreed to stay over with her as you were too tired to go back to the hotel. You called Betty, she was happy your day trip was pleasant, and was planning on going out dancing with some girls she met at the salon.
You enjoyed the conversations youâd had, the whole family wanted to know about school and what you did for a living. Stories about how you and Betty became friends, how you got Aminta. Once things settled down you watched more closely as Polly fussed over you. You could see in her eyes that this is where she wanted you. Home where she could hold your hand, laugh at your stupid jokes. Finally it was just the two of you.
âWhat about this man in London?â She asked, sipping on her whiskey. You gazed into the fire and thought about what to say. âAh thatâs why he wants to see you then?â She nodded, answering her own question. âYou're the one that got away.â
âI guess so.â
âDid he hurt you? I donât care what the consequences are. I wont have you around him if he hurt you.â You could feel the anger rising out of her.
âNo, he sent me to America to build the life I wanted. Things in London were getting complicated in his line of work. For my safety he sent me away.â
âNow he wants you back?â She sighed.
âI doubt it. But Iâll shortly find out what he wants. Tommy will get his way and all will be settled.â
âI know you have a heavy caseload back home, but could I talk you into staying a while longer?â Her eyes were watery and you could just barely stand to look into them. âI promise that I looked for you love. I prayed, I tried -â Her voice cut off and you held onto her tightly. âI promise I made him pay for what he did. Both him and John.â She choked out and you knew that doing that would have hurt her just the same.
âI know. I just had to look after myself and- â
âShhhhh - no - don't you ever apologize for anything youâve done.â Her voice was sharp and you didn't have it in you to argue.
The morning passed as you slept off the whiskey. The surgery was in the evening and youâd gotten ready to head back when you found Polly fully dressed in a posh suit sitting in the kitchen.
âAlright I know Iâm probably not allowed to watch, but Iâd like to go with you.â She said hopefully. You froze, unsure of what to say.
âAlright, yeah, just gotta go back to the room to get ready then head over.â She responded with a big smile.
Polly went through your clothes watching you pick an outfit for the day. Asking you questions about where you got certain pieces and how you normally dressed at work. Once you were washed and dressed she handed you a plate of food.
âI called room service, they had your favorite. Plus I have sandwiches and some fruit for your lunch break.â
You smiled as you took the plate from her. She was trying so hard to look after you, show you that if you stayed she would be good to you despite the fact that you were a grown woman now.
âNow come sit on the floor, how do you have to have your hair pinned for such things?â
You sat on the floor as she combed out your hair. A deep sense of rest caressed your body. This was the most comfortable youâd felt in ages. You felt love, love from a mother. Who wanted you to eat a full breakfast, who took pride in taming your wild hair, in her eyes she was sending you into some kind of battle. You knew Polly had a very limited understanding of what you were doing, but officially today you were making history and that was something she understood very well.
Betty came through and was taken back by the situation. You were never relaxed like this, ever. You heard Polly sniffle and right herself before going back to twisting your hair up.
âMorning Mrs. Grayâ
âMorning darling.â Polly answered easily.
âThere you are, love. Canât believe how long your hair is.â She gave you a firm pat on the shoulder and reached into her hand bag.
âThis was my mothers, itâs for luck. You can tuck it under your top.â Polly carefully pulled the necklace over your head and dropped the pendant down your neckline.
âThank you.â All of this was so strange and yet so familiar at the same time. You felt powerful with her behind you. The coolness of the necklace against your skin felt like long lost love that spanned back even further than Pollyâs mother.
âDonât mention it, love.â
______
The surgery was a success, you changed in the lockers with Betty feeling like youâd climbed to the top of a mountain. It would take about a week to see how things settled and you were informed you would need to stay for at least another two weeks.
Betty was even more pleased with that news.
âMiss! Your family is waiting in the lobby for you.â A nurse called out as you moved down the hall.
You and Betty were met with loud cheers as you rounded the corner.
In a hospital, in the dead of night, by your wild gangster family. You had half a mind to shoot them, but your heart swelled at their pride.
They embraced you and Betty into large hugs. You looked at Polly and realized sheâd sat on the same bench the whole time you were in there.
âDid you stay for the whole thing?!â You asked, watching her face flush.
âI wasn't sure how long it would be, or if you would need anything.â She said quietly, and you remembered the sandwiches sheâd brought.
âIâm absolutely starving.â You answered by giving her a big hug. You caught Bettyâs eye and she smiled knowing full well that you never ate after a surgery. Your nerves were always too wired up, anything you ate you would just puke up.
âGood, good, Tommy has something planned at his place but I have some snacks for the ride overâ She pulled you both into the back of a car, before you could process her words.
Something planned. You groaned, you were so tired, the thought of doing anything seemed impossible. But you watched as John and Arthur yelled into the streets about how their baby sister made history.
âBetty? You feel up for this?â You asked and saw her flushed face and lopsided smile.
âYour family is crazy!.â She said lightly, causing Polly to stiffen in the seat next to you. âDarlinâ I wouldn't miss this for the whole world!â
The two of you ate and Betty thanked and complemented Polly on the simple sandwich. To you it felt like a gold bar. Arthur got in the front and the rest of the family piled into separate cars.
âHere you are, love. Gotta catch up to us.â He passed you an amber bottle from the passenger seat. You took a long drink and passed it off to Betty whose face pulled into a hilarious pucker.
Tommy tore down the road, taking you all to his big fancy house heâd mentioned.
The night passed on in drunken dancing and laughter. This was a part of the family youâd never really seen before.
Eventually Arthur stumbled over insisting on talking to you outside. You followed him through to a balcony and John was there. You had an uneasy feeling in your stomach.
âThere you are.â John said. âLook, I've been trying to apologize to you for years. I pray, every fookâin morning that youâd come home and let me. I thought Tommy wouldn't get that mad if youâd done it. Heâd got a soft spot for ya. I canât tell you how sorry I am, about you and the familyâ He shook his head.
âNow you don't have to forgive him! You donâtâ Arthur slurred, pointing a finger at you.
âI do. I forgive you. No more lies though eh?â John's eyes got watery and he pulled you into a rib crushing hug. You looked at Arthur and watched as a weight was lifted from him, you forgave John and Tommy, so now he could too.
âMY BABY SISTER MADE HISTORYYYYYâ He shouted out into the sky and you almost toppled over in laughter. Arthur pulled you into a hug after. âLook, I don't care how big or little. I don't want to lose you again. If anyone does anything you come to me. I will fix it for ya, love. Iâm your big brother and Iâll fix it next time.â He whispered.
âI promise.â You whispered back and felt his tears land in your hair.

You woke up to light streaming through an unfamiliar room. Betty snoring softly next to you. You smiled to yourself as you looked at her smudged makeup.
Your guts were turning, head pounding, limbs shaking, but you felt that you could have both these lives and be just fine.
Maybe you could also help Tommy make things legal? You pushed the thought out of your mind knowing it was too soon to put yourself and career in that much danger.
You rolled out of bed and padded down the stairs knowing that Tommy should be up by now. Going past his office you heard his wifeâs accent drifting under the door. You brushed off her harsh words about the family and made a note to get on Tommyâs case about it later. With your head pounding and multiple meetings with reporters planned that evening all you wanted was some breakfast and coffee.
You pushed open the heavy door to the kitchen and found Finn sitting over some breakfast. He looked up at you with a soft smile. Taking in his appearance properly, you remembered the last time you saw him. He was breast level, big wide eyes, chubby face, and now he was taller than you, angular face, broad shoulders. Seeing him was almost the hardest part, he must have felt just as abandoned by you as you had your family. Suddenly you felt sick for other reasons, the pain of the hangover fading.
âCan we talk about all this?â You asked softly.
ââCourseâ You moved to sit next to him.
âIâm sorry that I left you behind.â You got right to the chase, you wanted this fixed. You wanted him to know that none of this was his fault.
âWasnât your fault.â He looked out the window and clenched his jaw.
âYeah, but it wasn't your fault either. I thought about you often. I figured Pol would make sure you were alright. I feel selfish. I want, I need you to know that this wasnât your fault.â You stumbled, not realizing how much pain was reserved in your chest for the boy.
âI think Mum would still be alive if I wasn't born. I think you would have stayed in the family too.â Tears started to well up and your heart was breaking all over again. Such heavy thoughts carried by such a wonderful boy.
âTommy and Polly raised me, she was still a person but by the time I was little but she couldn't be a mother. When you came around it was time for me to step up. Should it have been that way? No, but it was mum and daâs fault. Not ours and not Tommyâs. Him and I have made our peace. I know why he did what he did and he knows my side of things now.â You watched him take in your words and eventually he nodded. âYou are a gift, and I should have taken my role in your life more seriously. If you give me a chance Iâd like to work on it.â You didn't know what you were saying. You would be gone back to your life in America shortly. You internally scolded yourself for opening up more wounds than you could sew back up.
âIâd like that a lot.â He answered stiffly and you pulled him into a big hug. His body eventually relaxed against yours and he took a deep breath. More shifts and changes were felt in your bones.

Reporters, surgeries, family reunions, apologies, shopping, sightseeing, partyingâŠ.. It was a lot. And now it was coming to an end.
You couldn't stay any longer. The meeting was lined up for that evening and the ship home was booked for tomorrow morning. Betty had become quite taken with a friend of Adaâs, and was dreading the trip home.
What else were you supposed to do? Give up everything you worked for? Transfer to a hospital in London?
All these thoughts swirled in your head as you got ready. You didn't want to face him, but you didn't really have a choice. You picked out a black dress that hugged your figure. It was far more fancy than you would normally wear but looking your best felt like an additional level of protection. Pollyâs motherâs pendant was still heavy around your neck, you kept hoping she wouldn't notice you had it so it could stay with you through the meeting.
The car ride was long and Tommy insisted you go with him, leaving Arthur and John trailing behind.
âI didnât agree to let him have you alone. I know heâll ask but don't respond. Iâll handle it.â He took a long drag of his cigarette. âJust stay next to me, I wonât let anything happen to you, watch your mouth.â You smirked. âDonât let your temper get the best of you.â
âItâs not my temper Iâm worried aboutâ You answered, stealing a cigarette out of his silver case resting between the two of you.
âWell don't worry about that either. No way Iâll let it happenâ
âAnd if I want to see him alone?â You raised an eyebrow taking in his cold appearance.
âIâll allow you 15 minutes, then I burn the place down.â He responded coldly. Weâll see about that. You thought to yourself, slightly amused. It was if he had 10 years of being your big brother to make up for, so he was squashing it all into one car ride. He was annoyed at your uncharacteristically lax attitude about the situation, but no matter how many thoughts raced through your mind about how this could end, your body had fully checked out.
You pulled up to the familiar house. The sea air bit at your skin and caressed your lungs. Your body felt so at ease you worried it would simply blow away, half of you wished it would. Your brothers looked around, stretching and scanning the place.
You didnât make it up to the door before the dogs tore around the side of the house. Tommy put his arm out in front of you, stepping close. You instinctively crouched down and let the dogs crowd you. Three of them you remembered fondly, they were rubbing up against you whining. The others were new but followed along, happily assessing the newcomers.
âThere she is! You rotten beasts!â His voice boomed out and everything inside you gave away. This was a tense business meeting, life or death rested on some of the decisions that were to be made, and yet he strode over towards you and every bit of logic evaporated.
âWhereâs my grand welcome then?â You said cheekily and before you could catch Tommyâs glare of warning, you were squealing as he picked you up. He crushed you against his chest, your feet dangling off the ground.
âThis grand enough eh?â He twirled you around. How had you gone so long pushing this down? Pretending it hadn't existed. Your body was humming and the world slipped away.
âIâve had better.â You let out a laugh as he smacked your ass.
âYou have not.â He growled quietly in your neck.
âThatâs enough.â Tommy said sternly. Your face flushed as you looked at Johnâs crooked smile and Arthur clearing his throat fists clenched. You were going to need more than 15 minutes, you were going to need more than a lifetime.
âAlright letâs get down to it.â He declared placing you gently on your feet. You tried to steady yourself which proved to be useless as he had no intention of letting you go. His arm wrapped around your waist tightly and he turned towards the house.
Youâd spent many weekends away here. You passed rooms that had only gotten more cluttered, your boots clicked against the wooden and tiled floors and you ached for days when you would run through the halls bare foot.
He took you all into the sitting room and there was tea already prepared on the table. Business was tense, not just because of the mess Tommy was involved in, but more so due to the fact that Alfie rarely took his eyes off of you.
âIâll agree to whatever âslong as she thinks itâs a good idea.â He declared lazily making your stomach ache.
âShe wonât be involved so I wouldn't recommend that.â Tommy said sharply.
âWeâll see about thatâ Alfie responded cockily. Arthur slammed his hand down on the table.
âLike hell you willâ Arthur boomed.
âArthur!â Tommy snapped. âThatâs enoughâ
âItâs fine, Iâll vouch for him.â You responded fully placing your trust in your family. Alfie looked into your eyes and found the answer he was looking for.
âWhen do you leave then?â
âTomorrow.â Your voice betrayed you slightly, more than what was acceptable.
âStay the night then?â
âAbsolutely not.â Tommy answered. You wanted to, but the thought of standing Polly up on the dinner she prepared herself was not something you could do. He shook off Tommyâs words reading your face.
âFine. Let me drive you back.â He finally countered.
âDealâ You responded quickly. Tommy let out an annoyed breath.
_______________
After hammering out a few of the smaller details, you were being guided into the the back of a car. The dogs howled as you got in and tears spilled down your cheeks. If you couldn't say goodbye to a pack of dogs, how on earth were you going to say goodbye to your family tomorrow?
Tense words were passed between Arthur and Alfie before he climbed in to sit next to you.
His driver got in and Alfie closed the curtain separating the front and the back of the car.
âNow, my love - you got someone waiting on ya back home then?â You watched his large hand find your knee and studied the new scars on it.
You couldn't speak so you just shook your head.
âCome âere then.â He growled, pulling you up onto his lap. You let him manhandle you as you completely let go. It was a mess of kissing, crying, caressing, and heat.
______
âNow that he have that settled. How do I make you stay?â He whispered, eyes boring into yours.
âI donât know, is it safe?â You wanted him to say no. That this was a horrible idea and you should go back to your apartment, hide yourself away.
âI canât speak for Thomas, but I can keep you safe. Plus you know how this place is, absolutely filled with the sick and deranged, no doctors. I read that the other day, no bloody doctors. I thought to myself I know a way to fix such things. So when he came knocking for a deal, I thought I could kill two birds with one shoe.â
âFix the medical staffing crisis in England, which I'm sure doesn't actually exist. And strike up a deal with Thomas.â You asked smiling, missing these stupid conversations that always seemed to make you feel better.
âWell, Iâll admit I mostly just wanted my girl back.â
âSo youâd help my brother carve out a spot in London just to have me back?â You teased.
âLove, there isn't anything I wouldn't do to have you backâ His hands sunk into the soft flesh of your ass and you were drowning again. You knew that three weeks to come back into this madness that hurt you so badly was a horrible, stupid, awful idea, and yet it was the only you knew that you could live with. He saw the flash in your eyes and his lips were back on yours in a second.
_______________
Youâd been crying, holding on to Aminta for hours.
You walked down the dark hallway and pushed open the door to Bettyâs room. She was laying on her side looking positively devastated. There was the slightest amount of light pouring in from the window giving her a ghost-like appearance.
âI love him. That stupid Brit. I canât leave my parents, I canât make him come home with me.â Her face twisted up and you rushed to her side bursting into tears. You almost thought it funny that youâd both ended up in the same situation.
âI have to stay. Betty - I can't - go back. I know I should - but I canâtâ She held onto you and stayed quiet for a long moment.
âWe still have a few weeks leave, we could stay and see how things go?â She whispered, finally a bit of logic.
âLetâs just do that. Give it a bit more time. Need to meet this boy, make sure heâs treating you right.â You joked, relief spreading through you. You would need to corner Ada and learn everything you could about this friend of hers.
âLikewise. Will Thomas be upset? the tickets probably cost so much⊠I donât want to put you out - I -â
âTommy will be fine. Donât worry about it. Iâll go talk to him. Go to sleep, Iâll sort it all out.â You ran a hand through her blond curls.
âThank you.â She whispered.
You tiptoed through the big house. It was strange and drafty, not at all what youâd pictured for Tommy. You poked your head into his office and found him there pouring over a pile of documents.
âCold feet.â he stated without looking up. You quickly moved towards him without speaking. He looked up at you in shock as you fell into his lap like you used to when you were small. You started crying, and his hand patted your back like it used to.
âWhat did he do?â He asked in a deathly calm voice.
âEverything, stupid man, stupid family, Finn - Polly, You, I don't like your wife - I donât know about Esme yet - The kids, - Finn, Alfieâs dogs. God you hurt me so badly, and after three weeks Iâm willing to throw everything away. Itâs a risk and I shouldn't - I'm scared - I want to but - â You stuttered and choked, your heart felt like it was hemorrhaging. You couldn't breathe.
âWonât be losing anything, you transfer to London. See how things go. He hurts you, I kill him. We won't hurt you. I know that. But if things here aren't what you want then transfer back.â He ran a hand through your hair. âGive me some time, Iâll make it right. Sort everything out, want you here to be a part of it.â He said softly and you took a deep breath.
âI think thatâs what Iâll do. We still have another three weeks we could use up, we are going to telephone tomorrow and see if we could stay. See how that goes, I have a feeling I'll transfer anyway.â
âGood. I want you here. We all do.â You melted at his words. He sent you up to bed with a kiss on your forehead. Polly had stayed over as well and you felt the need to tell her immediately. You knocked on her door softly, then poked your head in. She was stirring.
âWhat is it, are you alright?! Whatâs wrong?â She hissed about to get up.
âNothing, nothing. Just wanted to talk.â
She let out a loud sigh.
âCome here, love.â She said groggily pulling the covers up and shifting over. You climbed into her bed, wondering how youâd unraveled back into a small child.
âNow tell me whatâs got you worked up, love.â She asked once you were settled.
âIâm staying for another three weeks. But I want to put the papers through to transfer this week. Tommy says heâll help me sort it all out.â
There was a moment of silence where you thought sheâd fallen back asleep. But her arms crashed around you pulling you against her slender frame. You felt her cry and you cried too. She cradled you in her arms and you drifted to sleep surrounded in her love.
_______
The next day you and Betty got your lives sorted, she was going away to stay with Teddy for a few days. Tommy insisted on having his full name, parentâs names, addresses, and phone numbers. She was clearly important to you, making her an extension of you that Tommy was determined to watch over.
As for Alfie he had little patience. You insisted on driving yourself over to his house to talk things over with him, much to Tommyâs annoyance.
âJust let me take you. Iâll wait in the car.â
âTommy! No!â You started on him tired of the argument. You snatched a piece of toast off the kitchen counter.
âLet the driver take you, alright - Someone needs to go with you. Take fucking Francis, anyoneâ
âMe and Aminta have been just fine on our own thank you big brother. Iâll ring you when I get there.â You took his keys and kissed his cheek.
_____
You knocked on the front door as Aminta tried to settle in with all the other dogs. The heavy oak swung open.
âCouldnât stay away?â He picked you up and wasted no time getting the story out of you. He already knew. His mouth was on yours and soon you were a hot mess pressed up against the entryway wall. âNot goinâ to let you get away this time.â He growled.
Somehow you managed to have everything. Yourself, your career, your family, your man, all in messy chaotic harmony. You were home, and you were so very loved.

It was late evening and Alfie was still stacked in his office, busy with his own businesses. He didn't expect any visitors, it was until you knocked on the door oto his office.
You stepped in without waiting at reply, you looked around and let out a sigh. "Good evening, sir."
He looked at you briefly from over some papers. "You start with this "sir" shit again? I think we talked about this already, Y/N," Alfie muttered and returned to looking at the paper in his hand.
You scoffed loudly, taking a seat at chair in front of his desk. "I try to be polite. Later I hear I have no manners," you summed up, crossing legs.
"You never had any manners, being polite now and calling me sir won't fix it, darling," he summed up without looking at you. Even when you both were in a relationship for quite a long time now, he still was harsh sometimes.
"I thought I told you to not come here? Is it so hard to understand that you have to sit home and wait at me?," Alfie asked and then looked at you.
"Yes. I got bored. I roamed through city and decided to visit you and check if my man is fine," you stated angrily. Why he was always so tough to deal with? You still loved that block, no matter how huge arsehole he might have been toward you.
Alfie put the paper away and leaned back in his chair, observing you carefully. He noticed that you had your new dress on, so for sure you weren't here just because you were bored. "You put on new dress," Alfie pointed softly and pat his lap. "Come here, darling."
You shifted in your chair, you rubbed your thighs together as his voice already made your core twitched. You got up but instead joining him, you walked to the window and peeked outside, at the dirty street. "You sit here for hours, all alone. Or maybe shall I start be worried that you meet someone here during all that long evenings, when our bed is lacking your warm?"
Alfie rolled his eyes and got up, he knew you were teasing him. He walked to you and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you tightly against his chest. "Are you seriously accusing me of a fucking affair?," Alfie growled against your ear. Suddenly, a hard slap landed on your ass. "You are a bad girl right now."
You bit your lip and slipped out of his grasp with quick movement. "Look at you," you stated, "You're such a handsome man. You think I am deaf? I heard not once and not twice how girls were gossiping about you in bar," you walked to his desk with swing in your hips and bend over it.
Alfie growled annoyed. "Are you fucking kidding me? I don't care about some bloody whores talking in the bar."
He muttered and walked to the door and locked them. "They talk about everything," Alfie summed up and moved to you, he grabbed you and sat you on his desk properly, standing between your legs. "I hate how fucking long that thing is," his hands grabbed the skirt of your dress to lift it up.
"You didn't deserve it," you said grabbing his hand and pushing it off your legs. "You were an arsehole, leaving me alone in house for hours!"
Alfie grabbed your wrists tightly and pinned them to the desk. "Listen to me now!," he growled at you. "I risk my skin every bloody day so you will have every fucking dress you want, so you can go to your fucking friends and brag about your new shoes or this fucking makeup. So don't you fucking dare to tell me what I deserved and what I didn't because when you sit in home pampered, I risk my life making businesses."
Your legs wrapped around his hips, you pulled him closer to you and kissed his bearded jaw. "That's why I love my fierce block that much," you whispered right into his ear.
"And your behavior is highly annoying, you are like a spoiled brat. I think I need to stop buying you so many things. What time it is?," Alfie asked and looked at his pocket watch. "Fuck this," he said before pushing your skirt up to give him access to your soaked pussy. "I can tell you are wet for me, woman," Alfie smiled and unbuttoned his pants before slipping your panties aside."Sadly, I don't have much time for you sweetheart,â he whispered into your ear before pushing harshly into you.
You rolled head back parting your lips as you weren't slick enough to take him fully. "Oh God," your arms wrapped around his waist and legs tighter around his hips. "Fuck, just like that, Alfie," you prized him, nodding.
"Don't prize me like I don't know what I am doing," he said and thrusted hard into you. He kept his harsh pace, one of his hands wrapped around your neck, squeezing it lightly. "You can be a really good girl but sometimes I have to remind you about your bloody place."
You looked at him with wry smile, your hand moved to his arse to squeeze it when he slipped his entire length into you. "I like to be your bad girl, and you like it too," a giggle left your lips.
After moment you pushed him strongly back, so his cock slipped out of you. You got off desk and turned around, sticking your bun to him.
He grabbed your hips and pushed back into you, fucking your roughly again. "Wonder who told you that. You risk losing a lot of stuff by pissing me off, girl," Alfie growled into your ear and used his body to pin you down to the desk. "You are always so fucking tight,â he muttered pushing even harder in you, his arm wrapped around your abdomen and his hand traveled to your clit.
You moaned his name, closing eyes aa first waves of unbearable pleasure started to hit the right spot. Your breasts pinned down to counter of his desk hurt but you didn't mind it as long as he was doing all those things to you. "Only for you, once and for all...," moan escaped your parted lips as you tried to meet his thrusts.
"I hope that only for me. I wouldn't appreciate my woman fucking whoever she wants,â Alfie muttered more to himself but loudly enough for you to hear. Soon, his thrust became more sloppy. "Come on, little one. Come for your man," he purred into your ear.
You slipped hand between your thighs, giving yourself messy rubs, also trying to tease his length every time he was moving backward. Soon, your inner walls started to clench around his cock, slick juices streamed down your thighs as you cum hardly around him, his name was the only thing you were moaning about.
"Fuck," Alfie growled loudly pushing his cock deep inside of you and filling you up with his seed."Such a good girl," man muttered and kissed your nape and then your neck. "But now you will have to go," Alfie informed you quietly before moving away from you.
You tugged hems of your skirt down, trying to improve your clothes as much as you could. With rosy cheeks burning of blush, you looked at him. "Are you expecting someone?"
He nodded, improving himself and his pants. "One of those fucking Shelbyâs have to come and talk with me. I don't want any of them to even look at you."
You gave him a nod and kissed him briefly before leaving. âDon't overwork yourself," you asked before you had closed the door.

Sharing Is Caring|| Tommy Shelby x Reader x Alfie Solomons

Summary: You're having double life, one is by Tommy Shelby's side, one by Alfie Solomons. What will happen if they'll find it out one day eventually?
Warnings: none
Words: 2503
Authors: Cass & Rouge

Tommy growled annoyed at bedsheets shifting next to him, it was still early. Too early. Too early even for waking up but he forced himself to open one eye.
His blue orb scanned the figure that still stood next to bed.

"You are up already? And leaving, love?," He asked with his voice still husky because of the sleep. "This is kinda rude, you know? Sneaking out."
You smiled at his words, him being awoken didn't stop you from packing your stuff to leather, black bag that was overhanging by your right shoulder. "The sun hasn't yet dawn, Thomas, you can sleep a little still," you told him, turning to face your boyfriend. You leant down and touched his temple with your soft lips. "I have some things to do and unfortunately, the day has only twenty four hours."
Tommy chuckled and slowly sat up only to leave the bed second later.
His arms wrapped around your thin waist, pulling you closer to his still naked chest. Tommy nuzzled to your hair, inhailing their scent before letting out a sigh.
"You know, love? It's getting really suspicious and what really fucking bother me is fact that my woman try to sneak out of the bed like some kind of whore," last word was nothing but a soft growl, all he wanted was to emphasize what he was having in mind.
You stroked his cheeks with your hands and shook your head like you'd be saying 'no'.
"I understand, love, but you know that I am busy with leading my shop," you explained and slipped out of his arms.
"I can understand that my work can take whole days but a fucking dress shop? Really? I have feeling you are fucking with me now and not in a good way, love," Tommy said with a frown.
"Love, could those eyes of mine ever lie to you?," You looked at him briefly as you left his bedroom and went downstairs, where you took your thick, black coat off the hanger and put it over your shoulders. "I wouldn't lie to you, ever," your voice was sweet and tender, maybe a little too emotions could be heard in it.
Tommy walked downstairs after you, thinking deeply. He didn't like this at all and it wasn't the first time you were running away like that.
You turned to him and walked closer, your hand touched his cheek.
"I love you, remember this," you informed him tenderly before you left.
The morning was rather chilly, wind blew strongly ruffling your locks of your hair.
That day you were walking pretty fast along the street, your heels tapped the sidewalk rhythmically.
After some time, you turned down a side street and almost started running. Finally, you reached the little house with red door and small squared windows in a lead frame that were framed with simple platbands and had an unary sun blind.
You got up porch steps and knocked to the door few times.
The door opened.
Alfie looked at you as he crossed arms over his chest covered with white, crumpled shirt.
"Oh, would you look at that! Fucking princess decided to fucking show up. What? You quit whoring around and decided to come back home, huh?," He said looking down on you with a frown.
You cocked your brows at him. "Yes, Alfie, I'm glad to see you, too," you scoffed and leant against door frame. "I couldn't come earlier. I was busy with my business. May I come in?"
"Yes, yes, I heard it all before. Your fucking business, always fucking out, fucking bullshit," Alfie muttered and walked back to living room, leaving door opened for you.
You smiled to yourself, it was already a good sign that he let you in.
Solomons' house was full of extraordinary things gathered everywhere around.
You followed him to the living room, taking coat off during the way there.
"How have you been, Alfie?," You asked sweetly approaching him and nuzzling to his wide back.
Alfie moved away.
"How do you fucking think? Alone, woman. You fucking just left without a word, pet," man growled and moved to pour himself a drink. "Fucking whore," Alfie said before finished his glass in one big gulp.
You let out a sigh and took a seat on his couch, crossing legs nicely.
It was common behaviour for Alfie Solomons, he was pretty good at cursing and disparaging people.
"Alfie, please, don't behave like a spoil brat who's had his rattle taken away," you used the softest of soft tones you could have made. "We're both adults, you know that I also have my business that needs to be run professionally," you added making sure your dress moved a little up your thighs so your legs were nicely exposed.
Alfie laughed loudly and looked at you.
"You? Business? If you meant whoring around, then you're not wrong, pet," he growled and looked at you. "Guess what, miss? I was getting fucking tired of you sneaking out, so in the end I sent my boys after you. You spent two hours at your stupid, little hole you call the shop and then you got where? Ah, right! To Shelby's house. Was a good, old Tommy Shelby buying a dress from you? Whole fucking night?!," Alfie roared and grabbed you by wrist, pulling you up back on your feet. "You think it's a smart move to fuck with me in that way?!"
His words made your blood freeze. You swallowed saliva and licked lips before you spoke aloud. "Why did you have to do this, Solomons? It was a perfect scheme and you had to fucking destroy it because of your fucking jealousy?!," You pulled hand out of his grasp and went to the window to peek outside.
"Fucking why?! You dare to ask my fucking why?!," He growled and pulled you closer to him, his hands grasped both of your cheeks. "Because the woman that I love fucks this gypsy trush behind my fucking back and treat our bed like a fucking hotel."
You let out a deep, sad sigh and tried to hold tears back.
"I'm so sorry, Alfie... I just... I've met him when you were making businesses with him last year. Few weeks ago we met again, and, I can't explain it... He was charming... You were angry all the time, busy all the time, you were using me only to fulfill your lust and needs!," You said openly, your body shivered.
"You don't fucking sit in my head, woman! You have no idea what I'm thinking about!," He yelled at you. "I worked to make sure you have everything you ever fucking needed but sure! It's simply better to go fuck someone else!," Alfe muttered, letting go of your face.
"Alfie...," You whispered as tear strolled down your cheek. "Please... Forgive me... Please, love."
"Go to that gypsy psycho, go ahead. Doors are there," he said simply, pointing on the door, then he filled his glass again and sat at the armchair to drink its content.
You lowered your head, it was pointless to argue with him and try to explain yourself when he was pissed like a ravenous pack of hounds. You put your coat on , tightening its flaps around yourself and left his house without a word.
-----------
Tommy was getting annoyed without you, he hated when you were gone and he was forced to stay alone.
He decided to do the most logical thing possible, to pay you a visit.
-----------
Tommy's hand gently banged on your door as soon as he was in front of them, after few knocks he waited for you to open.
In the meantime he lighted his cigarette up.
You shifted a curtain aside and peeked out of the window, as soon as you spotted familiar figure at your door, you let out a loud sigh and went downstairs to open them.
"What are you doing here, Tommy?," You asked trying your best to keep voice clear and strong.
Tommy looked at you with a frown.
"You cried," man said bluntly before wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you inside. There was no point in hiding something like this from him, he knew all of this too well. "What's wrong, love?," Tommy asked as his gloved hand gently caressed your cheek.
"Please, don't, Tommy," you asked quietly as you shifted away from him, moving to the living room where you flopped onto the couch. "I've... I've done something bad... Really, really bad and no, Tommy, you can't do anything about this..."
You bursted in tears, they were rolling down your cheeks like little pearls.
He watched you, helpess. Letting out a quiet sigh he started to undress himself from the coat. Soon, he joined you on the couch, his arms wrapped around you just like at the morning.
"Love? What happened? I will pull you out from any troubles, you know this," Tommy said before his hand found your smaller one and grasped it gently.
"You won't pull me out of troubles, Tommy. I'm the fucking trouble myself," you cursed in harsh voice, rubbing your temples. "Listen, there's something you need to know about me. I wasn't fully honest with you that day when you asked me if I have someone."
Tommy looked at you completely puzzled.
Suddenly the door bursted open and Alfie walked inside. He was holding bouquet of your favourite flowers in his hand.
"Okay, love! You were right, I shouldn't behave like crazy bastard I am, so I came to apolo....," Alfie said loudly and walked to living room only to witness you wrapped in Shelby's arms. "Oh, am I bothering? I see you fucking decided to make up your fucking mind," Alfie snorted viciously, throwing bouquet on the floor.
Tommy looked deeply unimpressed.
"What the fuck you want, Solomons, eh?," He growled, protectivly tightening his arms around your waist. "Haven't you fucking heard about knocking to lady's door?"
"Oh, just fucking shut up. I would knock if she would be a lady, but she is just a whore!," Alfie barked back.
You were looking at them both, moving your glance from one to another. You got up quickly and screamed, using all of your strength.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP, BOTH OF YOU!"
Tommy was ready to rip Alfie's throat out for you.
"Why?! Look at this fucking Jew, who the fuck he thinks he is to simply burst in here?," He growled.
"This 'fucking Jew' is as close to her as you, gypsy fucker," Alfie stated simply, taking his hat off.
"What the fuck is this maniac talking about, Y/N?," Tommy asked.
"Tommy, he's my partner. Both, in business and in life," you explained shortly as you lowered your head. "I am so sorry. So sorry. Apologies are necessary to both of you. I was leading double life. I couldn't have decided which one of you is better for me. You both are amazing men, you both have something that turns me on..."
"What?! How could you do this?!," Tommy growled surprised and grabbed your hand. "One cock really wasn't enough for you?!"
Alfie grabbed Tommy and easily pulled him away.
"Wo-ho there. No need to be physical, Thomas. Come on now, we need to talk," Alfie asked coldly.
Tommy, still with raging anger inside him, gave a brief nod to Alfie and followed him outside.
You fought with burning need to follow men but eventually you decided to stay home and wait for them to return.
--------
After half an hour or maybe even longer, both men returned. One of them knocked on the door and they both waited.
You opened the door and shifted aside so they could enter.
Both man walked inside.
"So," Alfie began.
"We talked," Tommy finished and looked at Alfie "And we came to some conclusions."
"If you can't chose between us two...," Alfie said and looked back at Tommy.
"We will share," other man finished simply with a sigh.
You blinked and covered your half-opened mouth with curled palm. You sat heavily on the couch, glaring at both of men in disbelief. "I think my ears have tricked me, what did you say?
"We are going to share you," Tommy repeated.
"We will be in relationship that takes three of us together," Alfie shrugged, rubbing his long beard.
"And you have agreed on this, Alfie?," You couldn't believe on what you've heard. "I mean, how do you even imagine this?"
Alfie shrugged once again.
"I would do whatever I could to make my angel happy, so I am even capable to get some agreement with Shelby if it comes to you."
"We'll do everything to make you happy. You're important to both of us after all, isn't it true, dear friend?," Tommy stated as his glance moved from your figure to Alfie.
"Uhm, yea, your happiness is priceless, Y/N, innit, Tommy?," Alfie cocked his brow and massaged his scar.
You watched them with mouth hung open.
"You really want to give it a shout, Tommy?," You asked him as you got up and moved closer to him, playing nervously with hems of your dress.
Tommy looked at you and nodded.
"If this will make you happy, then I am more than eager to try. I just hate to see you crying."
"Would you look at that? Good, old Thomas fucking Shelby is going soft for a woman," Alfie laughed harshly.
"But I am also willing to break this fucker's nose," Tommy growled, throwing mean glance at Alfie.
"Oh, yeah, again? Ain't it enough for you that you almost got me killed?!," Solomons pointed out, crossing hands behind his back and tilting his head.
"Gentlemen, easy," you tried to calm both man down. "Alfie, I know how possessive you might get, are you sure you'll take it?," You asked as your glance moved to rest on his steel blue eyes.
Alfie looked at you and nodded.
"I will. I will do whatever I can, sweetheart. Only to make you happy."
"I don't know how to thank you, both of you!," Another wave of tears streamed down your cheeks. "I don't want you two to kill each other just because of me and my lack of decisiveness. I'll share my time equally to both of you," you assured them with a little smile.
Both men looked at each other and nodded.
"Sounds good to me," Tommy agreed and soft smile crept onto his face.
"We have a smart girl," Alfie said proudly and Tommy cringed softly at these words, cold shiver ran along his spine.
"So, I think we have something to celebrate," you grinned at them and wiped your tears away while going to the kitchen. You grabbed three glasses and returned to the living room. Soon, glasses were poured with whiskey. You handled one to Tommy and one to Alfie. "To us," you toasted.
Both men raised their glasses up as well.
"To us," they said in unity.

It was nice and calm night until someone banged loudly on your door.
The sound was loud enough to wake you up.
You rubbed your temples and sat on your old bed, it squeaked under your weight. "Who's there?," you asked loudly within sleepish voice.
"It's Tommy," voice told you. "It's late but I need your help with Arthur, so better dress up."
You frowned. It was way after midnight and you were tired. Eventually, you got up and dresses up as well. You opened door and peeked out at Thomas Shelby. "How can I help him?"
"It's late and your beloved Arthur got drunk. We can't make him go home because he gets aggressive and we don't really need a fight," Tommy explained. "You good know that you, as his woman, have a good influence on him. Even in this state."
You let out a sigh. It was hard enough to deal with Arthur sometimes. But especially when he was drunk.
You tightened your nightgown around you and followed Tommy.
"You let him drink again?," you asked when you were walking right by Tommy's side.
"He drunk just a little bit... Later it kind got out of control," Tommy said offering you a cigarette. "We tried to get him home."
"And you and your brothers weren't able to get his drunk ass back home? How am I supposed to do that if you all failed?," you waved hand at him, refusing to take the cigarette.
"You are his woman, eh? You know he gets all happy and soft around ya," Tommy said and he opened doors to The Garrison.
Inside, there was Arthur happily chatting with other man."There she is! My beautiful, woman!," he said loudly, rising his hands up.
You smiled at him briefly and walked to him with smooth swing in your hips. "Hello, darling. I missed you in our bed," you told him.
"Arthur it's time to go home," Tommy said, patting Arthur's shoulder.
"Nah, nah, look!," Arthur grabbed you and pulled on his side. "I have my favourite lady here, let me stay with boys."
"No, sweetheart," you told him softly yet firmly enough for him to understand you weren't joking. "Let's go back home, it's late, you have to rest, so has others."
Arthur growled softly and nuzzled to your shoulder. He simply couldn't disagree with you. "If ya say so, dear..," he muttered.
You grabbed his palm and pulled him by you. "Next time, listen to your brothers, deal?," you asked him softly during way back home.
"Ah, come on. I am not that drunk," he growled out following you. "I would get home on my own. There was no need for Tommy to bring you."
"Yeah, I see it, darling," you told him softly. "He's always worried about his beloved brother, don't be surprised he doesn't want you to get hurt of any kind."
"Nah! Y/N. I am big and strong!," he told.
"I wouldn't get hurt or anything, love."
You opened door for him and let him inside.
Arthur walked inside and than quickly grabbed you, pulling you closer to his chest. "Ya know, Y/N? You are the most beautiful girl I've ever met and I love you."
You couldn't help and giggled. "Oh, am I?," you smiled at him and quickly slipped out of his grasp.
"Of course you are!," he said and looked at you. "Don't run away from me, love. I just want to give you a kiss."
"You're drunk. You know my rule - no kissing when you're drunk," you told him, teasing him a little and walking up the stairs. "Or maybe I'll let you... Who knows."
Arthur smiled and followed you quickly. "You better does, woman!"
You walked to your shared bedroom and waited at him politely, bending over desk standing next to the bed.
"Oh now, you try to be a good girl, eh?" Arthur muttered as he walked to you.
"I always am," you told him. "Besides, you good knew who did you take under your wings."
"Oh really, you always are?," he smiled, looking at you. "I thought I took a nice lady, not a slut," Arthur muttered and gently slapped your ass.
You moaned. "Well, I apparently got wilder while being with you, darling."
"I can see that, love. Maybe be that nice and show your man how wild you can get," Arthur smiled, sitting in his favourite armchair.
You slipped hands under your dress and slipped out of your panties, tossing them at him.
"You really know what I like, love. Now, come here," Arthur said, patting his knee. "Let me look at you."
You came to him and straddled his lap. "Hi there, handsome."
"Hello there, beautiful. How do you do this, eh? So nice and gently," he asked and his hand slowly moved your dress up.
"Because I'm a true lady and I love my handsome bad man," you told him and wrapped arms around him.
"Oh, really? So maybe show your 'bad man' how much you love him," Arthur grinned as he started to unbutton his pants. "Just like a good girl."
You slipped out of upper part of dress and smiled at him, licking your lips. "You're so quick, honey. I think my man is needy."
"I'm always needy for these pretty lips, love," Arthur said looking down on you.
Soon you stayed undressed in front of him. You reached his pants and slipped hand under them through his opened fly.
Arthur pulled out his cock. "Don't play games, love. I can't wait to feel these pretty lips around my cock."
You got off his lap and went down, right into your knees. You pumped hand around his shaft for a little, then bend down and wrapped lips around him.
"That's my girl. Suck me nicely and maybe you will get something nice later," Arthur muttered as his hand sneaked into your hair to grab them tightly and give your head the right rhythm of work.
You gagged with his shaft yet never stopped your actions. Your eyes were on him, you checked his reactions. You boobed your head back and forth, sucking him hardly, moaning at the same time.
Arthur was moving your head up and down his shaft, his face was cold, with soft smile. "I love when you act like a whore, love. I am glad you are only mine whore."
You pulled him out of your mouth. "I love when you try to appreciate what am I doing," you smiled and sucked lower part of his cock. "You're way better than Alfie Solomons."
"Sure I fucking am but ya better stop talkin' and do your job," he muttered before pushing his cock deep down your throat.
You gagged, tears came to your eyes but you never stopped bobbing your head. As you felt his precum, you swallowed everything, it didn't bother you he tasted salty.
Suddenly Arthur pulled you up on his lap. His hand slipped between your legs. "Your lips took me pretty nicely, lets see how other part of you will do it," Arthur said, using his fingers to tease you.
You let out a gasp. "It feels so good, Arthur," you told him. "Keep doing this and I'll turn into moaning mess."
"Ain't that a point, love?," Arthur growled quietly, pushing his finger deep into you.
"Nice and wet."
"Just fuck me," you asked him.
"With pleasure," Arthur removed his finger and shifted you in right position to bury his cock inside of you. "Oh fucking yeah," he growled as he started to fuck you hard.
You were holding his shoulders, your head rolled back as you bounced onto him. "Ah, God!," you moaned loudly. "You're so, so good, Shelby."
"I am fuckin' the best, woman," Arthur growled as he started to use you in his brutal pace. "You won't be able to walk tomorrow, sweetheart."
You gave Arthur a messy and needy kiss, your hands slipped into his long bangs and you pulled on his hair. "Fuck you, Shelby. I'm gonna fucking cum!"
"Good, because I'm gonna fill you up so good," Arthur gasped, grabbing you hardly enough to leave bruises.
You let out few moans and you cum hardly around his cock. You nuzzled to Arthur's neck, not giving a shit about him stinking worse then distillery.
Arthur frowned and cum deep inside of you. He let out a deep sigh and hugged you tightly.
You looked at him, still with his cock buried in your wetness. "Now, let's go to bed. I'm incredibly tired."

This was another family meeting, Tommy knew you hated them but there was no way out. You were part of the family so you had to be there.
"... I hope everything will go just as I planned, John. If not, Arthur will do something about it," Tommy muttered, looking at his brother, then his eyes traveled to Polly and you.
You were sitting right next to your aunt, looking curiously at the empty wall on your left. It was obvious that your mind was far beyond the walls of Shelby's house.
"I just hope Y/N here remember what I told her!," Tommy said loudly, hitting the table with his hand to get your attention.
"I guess Y/N took her mind on the vacations, Tommy," John said with a soft laugh, Arthur joined him soon.
"I can see that," Tommy said with a frown. "Mind to tell me what's so fucking interesting in this empty wall, sister?"
You blinked few times trying to bring your thoughts back. "Sorry, brother, I got a little distracted. I don't feel too well today as well," you rubbed bridge of your nose avoiding his glance. "Would you let me go back to the bedroom, I think that a little nap would help me get on tracks again," you asked politely.
Polly raised her hand up. "No, Y/N, it's not a time for napping. Focus on what your brother's saying, it's important," woman snorted and poked your knee.
"Listen to your aunt, girl. This isn't another tea party with your friends," Tommy said pointing at you.
"Exactly, those are bloody important things and you are away or suddenly don't feel well. It ain't the first time, and don't worry it'll over soon, you will be fine," Arthur added and Tommy nodded.
"Maybe she's gonna be on her period, eh," John joked openly and you showed him your middle finger. "Fuck you," you snorted at him and crossed legs nicely. "Go on then. Let's end this as soon as possible."
"Or maybe she is pregnant!," Arthur said and laughed.
"Naaah! Our little sister is too good for boys," John giggled, teasing you.
Tommy smiled softly and shook his head. "Okay, let's finish it so our princess can get her beauty sleep," he said before continuing the meeting. There wasn't much to talk about, you had to stay low when everyone else had their stuff to do.
After the meeting, Arthur looked at you as you were leaving the house. "I thought you said you don't feel well and now you are running off?," He asked in disbelief.
You looked at him above your shoulder and smiled. "It passed, I feel better now" you shrugged and looked at your reflection in a mirror hanging on the wall. You put lipstick on and checked if you looked nice. "Dont wait at me, I'll be long."
Arthur blinked and shrugged, looking at his younger brother.
"She left as soon as the meeting ended, suddenly she feels well? I don't like it," Tommy muttered, lighting his cigarette up. "If such a situation will ever happen again, I am afraid we will have to follow her."
"I can gladly follow Y/N. I bet our little sister is hiding something," John added slipping head to the room and looking at Tommy. "I can spy on her."
"For now we will observe her. Let's just hope our little sister didn't put herself in any trouble. I will inform boys, maybe they will notice something," Tommy said, looking at his brothers.
John pecked his lips nodding eagerly. "Good idea, Thomas."
-----------------
You were bending over the wooden desk, playing with lock of your hair.
"I couldn't stop thinking of you today, even my brothers noticed something ain't right."
"Don't you think it's kinda risky to come here after something like this?," Alfie asked, looking at you. "You brothers are fuckin' crazy, they are going to rip my balls off as soon as they see you with me," he muttered. "This was fuckin' stupid, pet, but I am glad you are here."
You sat on the desk and looked at him. "Alfie Solomons are afraid of my brothers, something new," you teased him a little. "Come here," you reached hand out to him.
"My balls are fuckin' important to me, love. So don't be surprised I am kinda worried about fuckin' Shelbys," Solomons said and grabbed your hand, pulling you on his laps. "I am the one that gives orders here."
"Yeah, you are until I'm sucking your cock," you reminded him kissing his jaw. "And ya know, I like playing with fire," you reached to his belt and unbuckled it. "And well, your balls are also important to me."
"Oh, are they now, pet? Well, we will see how talkative you will be with my cock shoved down your fuckin' throat, little Shelby," Alfie said with a smile on his lips, pushing you down on your knees.
-----------------
The whole situation with you kept repeating few times, you were excusing yourself or boldly sneaking out of the house on a daily bases. It was annoying everyone but especially Tommy, he never could reach you when you were needed because you were gone.
Finally, he had enough of your ridiculous behavior. "We are going to follow her, I am so fuckin' done with her sneaking out. Every fuckin' day," Tommy muttered, looking at Arthur.
Older Shelby nodded slowly. "I think it would be the best thing to do, if we truly want to find out where our little sister is sneaking out," he said.
Tommy nodded grabbing his coat. "Oi! John, you commin'?," He asked, putting on the coat.
Younger brother yawned. "Me? Of course I go! I wouldn't want to miss the drama!"
"Let's hope it won't be a fuckin' drama," Arthur said and followed his brothers.
Men followed you carefully, making sure to not alert you of their presence what so ever.
"Oh, you are fuckin' kiddin' me?," Tommy growled, seeing you entering Solomons' place.
You looked around before stepping into bakery. "Alfie!," You called happily. "Where are you, darling?"
As soon as you vanished into the building, John crossed arms over his chest. "Well, well, that's something unexpected, at least to me, guys," younger Shelby said openly rubbing back of his head. "What are we going to do now, eh?"
"Well, what do you think, eh?," Tommy said frowning. "We are goin' inside."
Arthur nodded. "I will rip this jew's head off if he ever touched her."
-----------------
"The same place as always, lady," one of the workers poked you, pretty annoyed. Everyone was used to you being here every day. "In his office."
You thanked politely and sent man a grin. Grabbing hems of your dress in hands you ran towards Solomons' office and stepped in without knocking. "Good day, mate," you whispered.
Alfie looked from some papers he had on his desk and smiled at you. "Good day to you as well, pet. Is everything okay, you got here earlier than usual?," He said, getting comfortable in his chair. "Missed me?"
You walked to hip with a certain swing in your hips only to take a seat on his lap. "Well," you looked at the ceiling, pretending to be thinking. "Yes. I missed my man so fucking much that I skipped my violin classes to meet him, innit romantic, my love?"
Alfie laughed nodding. "Oh, so fuckin' bad, girl. What happened to this little innocent girl I once met?," He joked, looking at you.
You stroked his cheek with your thumb. "You spoiled me, Alfie," you said as your impatient hands started to unbuckle his leather belt.
"Well, then I think I will have to teach you a fuckin' lesson, you brat," Alfie said watching your hands. "Eager as always, go on, little one."
You got off his lap only to kneel between his legs.
Meantime John and his brothers came to the bakery.
"Where the fuck is she!?," Arthur growled, grabbing one of the working men.
"The officeâŠ," Man answered quickly and Tommy nodded. "Let's go, pay Alfie a visit. Shall we, boys?"
"With a fuckin' pleasure, Tom," the oldest Shelby said and went to the office as first, with Tommy and John right behind him.
John was already red on his face. "I sense the drama, Thomas!," He whispered shivering.
Meantime you shoved Alfie's cock deep down your throat humming around the shaft.
Alfie only hummed happily as his hand held your hair tightly, it took him a bit to realize that your brothers actually stood in the same room. "Oh fuckin' shit... The hell you fuckin' idiots do here!?"
"YOU ARE FUCKIN' KIDDING ME!," Tommy yelled while Arthur simply turned on his hill and left the room, probably to not murder you or Alfie on the spot.
You gagged a little and quickly slipped Alfie's out of your mouth. "Tommy.... John...," You whispered with eyes wide opened.
"Yes! Fuckin' us! What the fuck you are doin', sucking off this motherfucker?!," Tommy growled.
"Hey, calm the fuck down, mate," Alfie said.
"No, you fucking shut up, mate, before I decide to decorate walls of your fuckin' office with your own brain. You," Tommy pointed at you. "Get the fuck out of here. Go to Arthur."
You wiped your lips from Alfie's precum and slowly got up on your feet, shaking head like you'd have been saying "no". "I won't go anywhere. I stay here."
Tommy rolled his eyes. "John, please."
John simply nodded and walked to you. He was taller and stronger than you so he easily picked you up, John threw you over his shoulder and walked out with you.
"Now youâŠ," Was all you could hear Tommy saying.
John walked out of the bakery and joined Arthur. "Are you out of your fuckin' mind kid, eh? What the fuck was that?!," Arthur asked.
You struggled with your older brother. "Put me down, coward! Put me fucking down and I'll rip your heart off!," You were screaming.
People who were passing by glared at the sudden situation and chaos.
"I want go back to my man! Put me down, John! I love Alfie! You won't be deciding by me!"
John put you down. "Arthur asked you a question, girl and yes we will. You are Shelby, you won't be meeting someone like this."
"He is right, Tommy will sooner kill him than let you met with him again," Arthur muttered, looking around. "What are you all looking at! Not your fuckin' business," he yelled at people.
"Arthur, brother," you grasped his elbow and looked up at him. "I bet once you were in love, just like me now. Please, don't punish me for listening to my heart. I fell for him and nothing will change it. Listen to me, and if you love me, like your little sister, let me live my life the hell I want."
Arthur looked at you. "Tommy will decide what to do with you, sister," he told you bluntly.
John only laughed quietly. "You fucked up."
After a few minutes, Tommy joined you all. "Fine, ready to go?," He asked simply.
"I ain't going anywhere. I want to go back to Alfie," you stated firmly. "What the hell have you done, brother?"
"Arthur," Tommy muttered.
"Sorry, sis," the oldest Shelby said and picked you up the same way that John did few minutes before.
While you walked, Tommy looked at you. "For now you will sit home, we'll think what to do with your great Jewish love," he muttered. "I guess I will have to talk with aunt about this," he said pulling out the cigarette.
"With Polly? There's nothing to be talked about with her, Thomas!," You growled. "I want to go back to my love."
All three men ignored your whining until you all got home.
Tommy ordered to close you in your room and make sure you won't run away. In the meantime, he went to talk with Polly about the whole situation. Tommy didn't like it even a little but he also couldn't completely close you off.
-----------------
After an hour, Tommy walked into your room.
You were sitting on the floor under the window, knees pulled beneath the chin. Quiet sobs were escaping your mouth.
"You can stop that now, Y/N," Tommy said walking up to you. "I talked with aunt Polly," he informed you.
"And? What? You'll lock me here like a princess in a tower and Arthur is going to play a dragon in this stupid spectacle?!"
"I think you are a bit too old for such metaphors," he chuckled darkly and ruffled your hair. "Better fix this ruined make up and run to your jewish knight."
You blinked. You felt how your blood turned cold within second. "What did you say, Tommy?," You asked frowning.
"Go run to your love," Tommy said with a shrug. "As I said, I talked with Polly. We came to the conclusion that you can be in love and we can benefit."
You grinned and quickly got up from the floor, you rushed to the wardrobe to look for a fresh dress. "Iâd say it's awful from your side but I won't complain as long as I can be meeting him. And Tommy. I really love him. He's a good man to me."
"I ain't sure if Arthur would say that. I won't say that eather," Tommy said walking past you.
You shook your head and started getting ready.
It was the very first moment when you felt the sparkle of hope for better tomorrow.

It was still early when the clouds gave of their rain to the grass and trees, when the road became alive with more splashes than my eyes could appreciate. Yet together they brought such a soothing sound, a natural melody every bit as beautiful as a mother's soulful hum.
Thomas Shelby was walking down the street, wearing his classical thick, black, long coat and peaked cap on.
As deep as he was buried in his thoughts, he wasn't aware of you observing him through the corner of the street.
You were tired, oh so tired of your poor life but there was no other way than just keep going. Not everyone was as lucky as Shelbys after all.
You spent most of your life on the streets, robbing people just enough to buy food. Sometimes you were stealing food itself but this time you needed money. You simply wanted to eat something warm and one gold watch would be enough for you to afford this. From many years on street you learned one thing - those fancy pocket watches had a chain that was strong enough only to hold the watch, pulling it was a really easy way to rob someone. Smoothing your dress and hair you ran up to Tommy Shelby. "Excuse me, sir! Sorry, can you tell me what time it is?," You asked with your best soft, charming but fake smile.
Thomas threw you a brief glance yet he didn't stop walking down the street. "It's early. And you should be still in bed, ma'am. You look young, too young to be roaming through the streets alone."
You didn't expect that, if not the fact that his coat was buttoned up you would snatch the watch from him long time ago. Giggling you shook your head. "I am young indeed, sir, but I had to go out that early. My mother is sick, she asked me to bring her some stuff. I just ask for time to make sure that the drugstore is open."
"I assure you it's going to be open in half an hour, you still have a time. It's chilly today, go back to your mother and take care of her," he replied not even looking at you.
Thomas knew that type. Those people were appearing to live each day like the rest of the Birminghammers, but in truth they were living just one day over and over, trying to survive, begging for money or food.
You stopped and watched him walking away, sure you would go home to take care of your mother only if you were having her... When he disappeared from your view, you growled and kicked the random stone. "Du-te dracului," you muttered and walked away to look for someone else to rob.

Arthur was already in the pub, he awaited at his younger brother to show up. "Finally!," The oldest Shelby growled angrily as soon as he spotted Thomas entering the pub. "You won't fucking believe what the fuck has happened to me!"
Thomas cocked brow and looked at his brother. "What was it? You got drunk again and you slept with some random girl?"
Arthur rubbed his mustache angrily. "Don't be a fucking dick, Tommy," he snapped. "I was fucking robbed."

You walked through streets happily with a nice silver watch, thanks God that not every Shelby was that bright. Arthur Shelby quickly fell for your little trick, so now he was lacking the watch on his vest when you were happy that you will eat a warm meal tonight. You hide watch in a little pocket in your dress, feeling proud of your little achievement.

Meantime aunt Polly couldn't stop herself from laughing when she heard how a young pauper managed to trick one of her nephews.
Arthur couldn't focus on his daily tasks because of the raging anger.
Tommy spent half of the day in his office, working over some important documents.

After finding good pawnshop you were able to sell the watch for a pleasing price, now you were sure that you won't starve. If everything will go well, then you'll have some money for next day as well.
The rest of the day was normal to you, you wandered the streets until evening came. The Garrison Pub looked tempting, it was fancy as for this part of town. Humming softly you walked inside and immediately you were surrounded by pleasurable warmth and not so pleasurable smell of alcohol but you didn't care. You walked up to the bar to order something.
Tommy was behind the bar, chatting with one of his friends when he spotted you. He remembered you very well, but now you looked different. Hair rather clean, fresh clothes on. But your face was too familiar to him. Tommy turned his back to counter to not scare you. Not yet. He had a plan. He wanted to teach you a lesson but he would be needing his older brother.
Tommy waved at Arthur to come to the bar.
You hummed happily, talking to the bartender with a soft little smile on your lips, you didn't really pay much attention to people around you.
Arthur looked at Tommy with a frown but he got up from the chair and walked to his younger brother. "What do you want?," He asked before looking over Tommy's shoulder. "It's her, she snatched my fuckin' watch."
"I know it's her, that's why I called you," Tommy explained while lighting on cigarette. "We should teach her a lesson, shouldn't we?"
Arthur simply nodded, he walked around the bar to stand right behind you. He cleared his throat. "I hope that the new watch, suits your nice dress, miss."
You were aware of someone standing behind you, at first you didn't care but when you heard the words spoken aloud, your body froze, slowly you looked over your shoulder.
Tommy joined his brother and wrapped arm around your shoulders like he'd be hugging you. "What a great meeting, innit, my friend?," He asked with a wry smirk.
"I... I don't know what do you mean sir, I don't think we ever met before," you said looking at Tommy not really sure what to do now, there was no possibility of running away.
"Oh, I am more than sure that we did meet before. You snatched something that belongs to me," Arthur growled and you only winced at his tone.
"So now, miss, better get my brother's watch back and we'll forget about the case," Tommy said firmly, he stopped smiling and now had an awfully angry grimace over his lips. "If not, then you should be aware of what we do with robbers."
You shivered and slowly put money on the counter, without saying anything.
"Oh, I don't care about your fuckin' money, woman. I want my watch back," Arthur said.
"This is the watch!," you whimpered. "I sold it, I sold it to have some money for fucking warm meal," Explaining this you looked at both man.
Tommy looked at Arthur. Deep inside he felt sorry about you. He could hear the Romanian accent clearly in your words, so you'd to be one of them, partly. You were Gypsy, just like he, his brothers and sister. "So what are we going to do with her now, Arthur?"
"Vreau sa plec acasa," you whimpered lowly, trying to get away from both man but Tommy was holding you too tightly.
"I don't know, what do you think, Tom?," Arthur asked as he looking at you still thinking.
Tommy released your shoulders. "If you want to be clean and to walk out of here with both your palms on places, you'll work for us until you won't work off your debt."
You looked at Tommy scared and nodded. "Okay, I will," you said quietly.
"Isn't it a bit too gently, Tom?" Arthur asked looking down on you. Â "Ain't you afraid she steal from us again? Like in work?"
"I give her my trust. She ain't stupid and she knows what will happen if she'll try on anything," he threw you a cold glance. "I want to see you here after closing. You'll clean the pub."
You looked at him and nodded slowly. Â "Yes, Mr. Shelby,"
"If you say so, Tom," Arthur shrugged and grabbed the money. Â "I will take it, it was MY watch after all," He muttered and walked away.
Letting out a sad sight you looked down on your knees. So much for a warm meal, you though to yourself before your stomach growled angrily. Giggling awkwardly you blushed, looking away quickly.
"Now, come on, let's feed you properly," Tommy said simply.
You blinked looking at him. "But... Your brother took all the money I had,â you said confused.
"You're lucky tonight then," Tommy stated. "Not only you kept your palms but you'll also get a warm meal."
You giggled softly and nodded. "Well... I think I am. Mr. Shelby?," You bit your lips before speaking again. "I am really sorry about your brother's watch. I really just wanted to eat."
"Was it so hard to approach and simply ask for money or if he wouldn't give it to you, you could have asked him to buy you something to eat so he would be sure you ain't going waste the lent money."
"If you borrow something, you often have to give it back or somehow return the good did," You said. "Giving back money or doing something in return for you or your brother ain't really possible for me, sir," you explained.
"He ain't such a monster, he only looked like one," Tommy said and shifted to let you behind the bar. "Take a seat. I'll bring you something."
Polly who was watching entire situation from her table got up and went to join Arthur. "What the fuck is he doing?," She asked the oldest Shelby.
Meantime you giggled at Tommy's comment and took a seat as he ordered you to. "I thought this watch was worth more,â Arthur muttered, counting the money he took from you. His attention quickly moved to Polly. Â "This little minx stole my watch. I wanted to punish her but Tommy decided to give her a job. So she can work in return for what she did."
Polly raised her eyebrow in shock. "He did what?," She repeated. "Is he outta his fucking mind? Let's hire entire rabble, let's be a fucking charity," woman lit her cigarette.
Arthur shrugged, putting money into his pocket. "Tell him this, not me."
"You're his older brother after all, Arthur, I thought you have more influence on him."
"You are our aunt," He said looking at her. "I already told him what I think and he said he trust her,"
Meantime, Tommy brought you a plate with soup.
You smiled and started to eat quickly. Maybe it wasn't too polite but you didn't care, all you cared about was eating a real meal. This plate made your whole day much better in one second.
"Was it truth about your ill mother?"
You swallowed and shook your head. "My mother died few years ago during winter. I just... I simply tried to make you pull out your watch."
Tommy sighed and lit another cigarette, inhaling the smoke.
You muttered a quiet âsorryâ and returned to eating, looking at him from time to time.
Tommy looked at you for a while. "Eat. You'll need a lot of strengths."
