i need a sitcom about the royal family of ithaca (odysseus, penelope and telemachus), their fresh-out-of-jail "hey kiddo wanna do tax evasion" uncle hermes, their sassy wine aunt circe, their beloved "pspspspsps hey you human baby can I enlighten you with the art of war/hate crimes" aunty athena and their grumpy neighbors helios and poseidon, who have beef with their family for absolutely no reason (4 seasons later it actually turnes out they were his father uni friends but they split up because ody've eaten the last pizza piece or smth)

Percy and Annabeth mirror Odysseus and Penelope, how they love each other and Percy was thrown onto the island of Ogyia with Calypso. Even through the wars, he fought for her. He fought Polyphemus. He could never forget Annabeth regardless of what was thrown at him.
Nico and Will mirror Orpheus and Eurydice. They both went to the underworld. Will could never leave without his Eurydice, Nico. He traveled the Underworld and turned around on the stairs to see Nico. He used song to open the stairs of Orpheus. He proved multiple times that he would not let himself live without Nico there. He was weaker than Nico, but he would fight for him. Their love had the approval of the Gods and Hades, in specific.
Honorable mention: Silena Beauregard and Clarisse La Rue. You CANNOT tell me they weren’t in love with each other in the good luck, babe/casual/I wish you were a boy sense. anyways. Achilles and Patroclus. Clarisse who despised most except Silena. Silena who was kind-natured and sweet but still could be strong. Clarisse who was relentless, cruel, strong, and a valiant fighter. Clarisse who boycott the war. Silena who wore Clarisse’s uniform to break the boycott. Clarisse who brutally k*lled others because the one she held most close to her heart died. Clarisse who loved her best friend, Silena.

Do you ever think about it if either Odysseus or Penelope were disappointed when they reunited? Did they both yearn so much for so long for one person they accidentally remembered them like a fantasy? Did they reunite and get a rude awakening to each other's flaws once again?
Did they forget that each other was still human after so much time yearning?
"You can stop hiding now" She said. She stood by the window, hands folded, calm but not cheerful. Telemachus slipped around the corner. "Can you explain this to me?" He asked, noted angrily that his voice was shaking. His mother turned to him. She was pale, her lips pursed, but there were no traces of tears. She was far from distraught, and yet she was the one who had said all those terrible things.
"Idon't think I have to. you overheard everything" He didn't hear the accusation in her voice, but he knew it was there. "Compared to what you want to do, eavesdropping is no offense" He hissed through clenched teeth, and immediately realized that he had overdone it. "Excuse me, are you suddenly ready to sit on the throne?" Her voice was cold as ice. Telemachus felt tears gathering under his eyes. He didn't want to cry.
"I'm sorry" She regained her composure quickly, but she didn't soften. "These aren't easy decisions. But this land belongs to our family, and I won't let it slip away from my hands. I will do whatever is necessary" The boy wiped his face with his wrist. "Do you think my father would be willing to do something like that?" He asked and immediately realized that he had made a huge mistake because he knew the answer. Penelope sighed, sounding very tired. "Your father is a wise man." She replied. Her son nodded, looking at the ground "You are too. More and more often, however, I hope that I have not inherited this from both of you"
Then he left, his steps a little too loud to be natural. She looked after him, sad. He would have found out anyway, but because he overheard her conversation with Ctimene, it was very brutal. Ctimene didn't deserve something like that, no. She deserved her husband, a bit too stiff, but brave and always ready to help, loyal to a fault. Penelope thought more than once that Eurycholes as a human being was simply better than her own husband. She couldn't be surprised at her friend that even after fifteen years she didn't want another man, how could she? But she and Ctimene weren't in the same situation. If Penelope had married the suitor, Odysseus would have been lost, deprived of the right to his own throne. But Ctimene… The suitors had to be calmed down. The king's sister's hand and womb would be a perfect way for them to stop trying to gain power, at least for a while. And after the return of the rightful king, they will be banished and Ctimene will return to the one she loves.
Penelope could imagine what a great sacrifice she was asking her husband's sister to make. But things had to be done if their family wanted to keep this kingdom, and if anyone had to make the difficult decisions, well. Better Penelope than Telemachus.

I have never painted before, so this is new for me. It actually resembles my irl style like a lot- 💀 I don’t know how to feel about that. Anyways!!! I decide to draw everyone’s favorite wife, ✨Penelope✨!
I saw a drawing thing with her having cool looking blond hair. I thought it looked nice and drew it myself! Her outfit (and kinda the hair) came from that one statue of her that I saw. Don’t talk about the background. I had no idea what the actual fuck I was thinking.

Ok so The Odyssey book I have has this illustration of Odysseus and Calypso where he's sitting on a rock on the shore. So it made me think, what if this was in epic too, right?
So I'm thinking, instead of a rock, its a wooden log. And Odysseus cut down a tree and carved a spot for himself, because it reminds him of when he carved his and penelope's bed out of the olive tree back in their palace in ithaca. Furthermore, this log bench thing is on the part of the shore that faces ithaca (tho it's not visible) . Both these things make him feel closer to her, even though she is so far away.
And as the years pass by, it gets harder for him to go there, because the pain of not being with his family at home gets too much to bear. And some months after he loses all willingness to go there, is when the 2nd half of Love in Paradise happens.
Ok I stayed up till 12 last night to listen to the Wisdom Saga as soon as it came out and oh my gosh. I don’t even have words to describe ANYTHING I’m feeling. 10/10, no notes, great job Jay🫡
