There is not NEARLY enough Rapunzel AU fanfics. I'm thinking of mighty witcher Geralt coming across a lone, tall, moss, ivy, and lavender covered tower out in the woods, and being surprised to find a young man imprisoned there. I love the idea that instead of paintings like Disney's Rapunzel used to fill up her time and tower, that instead he sings and makes songs, so there's like.. Lyrics and sheet music scribbled onto the walls.

♡!Optional addons!♡ • Geralt is tracking down an evil infamous mage, of whom turns out to be the captor of this gorgeous musician he found

• Jaskier has blonde hair until it's cut like in Tangled, to call back to his Dandelion roots (hah.. Roots... Like hair... and dandelions..) • We could go the Disney's Tangled route and have there be a lost Prince Julian that Jaskier just so happens to resemble (and secretly is)

• Perhaps Jaskier is physically bound there by magic or chains, Or perhaps he's there out of nothing more than guilt, shame, and/or fear toward the person keeping him there • Perhaps Jaskier is a painter in this universe, and above all, wants to see real buttercups, dandelions, etc, out in the wild, for they don't grow near his tower, and the best he can get is his own paintings of their descriptions in books.

• Maybe if we feel more adventurous, Jaskier could be part harpy, kept in a mage's tower in a birdcage, kept for his magical hair activated by his magical singing (Ooh, this gives me more bird jaskier ideas.. You might see those soon)

• Or perhaps, after Blaviken, a witcher is sealed away in a tower, only for some dumbass (affectionate) struggling bard to stroll across and think it a perfect shelter from the oncoming rain.

Guys I must have a problem or something, because this is the second Black Butler Fairytale AU that has Sebastian in the role of the protagonist 😭

What is it based off this time? Fuckin’ Rapunzel. (Not the Disney version, the original fairytale that Disney based it off of.)

Okay to be completely frank, this AU kinda combines elements of both, in a way?

It’s not much, just basic scraps of a story, but if anyone here is a Sebamey fan you might like this ^^

So basically, Sebastian is a demon chilling in a tower, far from human society. (I can see Sebastian freaking the shit out of anyone who enters. He must be hella bored in there.)

Mey Rin’s backstory is kinda sorta the same as the manga; because of her gift (or curse, many would argue) of extreme farsightedness, she's mostly used as a living weapon by a triad, so she snipes and steals.

(Hell if we wanna cater to the manga further, we could maybe say she's sent to kill Sebastian and steal whatever he’s got in there, but later decides "hey y'know what I like this demon")

One difference is, instead of being killed, if she were to go against them, they would instead gouge out her eyes.

And upon finding out that she’s mingling with one of her targets? They do. Or rather, they try to. Regardless of whether the results are successful or not, poor Mey Rin is left blind.

And Sebastian, upon finding out what happened when these fuckers try to kill him themselves, is pissed.

So he kills the triad rather effortlessly of course (and slowly, mind you), and the poor demon is left alone thinking that the lovely woman he’s grown to love is dead. Thinking he’d never hear her lovely voice, or see her sweet smile, or her beautiful eyes.

Thankfully he finds out that she’s not dead. He doesn’t care that he can’t see her eyes or that she can’t see him or anything, he’s just happy she’s not dead aaaaa—

They embrace, he cries, and his tears heal her wounded eyes, restoring her vision. (Don’t ask me how tf this works this was how the original fairytale had it.)

(By restoring her vision, I mean to where she's no longer blind. She still has her farsightedness, though. As a near-sighted person, I don't wanna take her farsightedness away from her, it'd be dirty.)

Anyway they kiss and live happily ever after yaaaaaaaaaay 🥳

Tangled AU

But there's no Mother Gothel, Blindy (Rapunzel) literally just ran off one day like: "fuck it, I'm gonna go live a damned tower." And Bunster (Eugene) finds Blindy's tower one day, following Flynn's storyline, Blindy just straight up knocks him out, ties him up with his very long blindfold (this is important later trust me), and straight up goes into "Why are you here? You're running from the castle guards? B!TCH I RAN FROM THOSE GUYS DON'T LURE THEM BACK-"

And back to the blindfold thing, at the end of the movie, Bunster is worried (yay character growth) and calls out for Blindy to let down his blindfold, Blindy lets down the blindfold, but Bunster finds no Blindy at the end. He panicks until he looks around and finds Blindy trimming his fur while the tails of his blindfold are severed off.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!!"

"K, sorry. Number one. If something kills me, run. Number two, I just accidently cut the tails off my blindfold, dummy."

Oh and when Flynn would have taken Rapunzel to see the floating lights, it would be Bunster literally just trying to socialize Blindy properly because when they met someone on the way to the floating lights Blindy told a kid the tooth fairy wasn't real
