Ready Player One
I’ve watched the movie and have read the book and I have one thing to say. I kinda want/wanted a RPO semi-animated tv show. The story could be broken up into a mini-series narrated by Wil Wheaton or Tye Sheridan. The cast could stay the same and maybe follow more of the book? I don’t know. I would be cool to see more book references! except for that weird part with wade. you all know that part.

This is my top 10 of my favorite movies.
I just finished reading Ready Player One in -- looks at finished book -- sighs -- one day.
According to the blurb, it's "Harry Potter for grown-ups" and "Willy Wonka meets The Matrix" neither of which are really accurate, but if you feel like a trip to an escapist fantasy (don't we all), I recommend.
Interesting, there’s something about this that feels less “Mechagodzilla” and more “Godzilla if he was a robot”. Specifically its kind of like the character designers used the basic premise of a Mechanical Godzilla to design it without drawing from any previous Mechagodzilla designs, and thus it lacks certain staples like the chrome coloring and yellow eyes, as well as having more skeletal, robotic limbs due to not being a suit. Its not necessarily a bad thing (though I agree with Matt that it’s a strange choice in a movie dedicated to visual nostalgia), but it does make you rethink what defines the character and ponder what other recurring elements previous designs had beyond “metal Godzilla” that tend to be taken for granted.

Currently Re-Readinv Ready Player One and I'm in chapter 14, where Wade (as Parzival) is talking to Nolan Sorrento. Wade was born on August 12th 2024... Technically he was just born, is like a few weeks old... Oh my God, I am shocked, the book is getting closer and closer to the actual year it shall take place in, in another universe that would be our present, we would be living in the existence of the OASIS, we would see how it all comes to be!

I didn’t see any yugioh in ready player one and I’m pissed. The movie had a great idea and concept but they forced a relationship so it turned hella cringy real quick. Amazing CGI bad Plot so 6/10
