I just feel it’s disgusting and inhumane how a bunch of old white MEN that are knocking on hells door are telling WOMEN what we “can” and “can’t” do with OUR BODIES. The math ain’t mathing. I can’t believe we took a step back in WOMENS RIGHTS this just pushed us back 50 years 🤦🏽♀️

If you decide to protest but are worried about violence or police:
Bring water and Dawn dish detergent in a bottle. Dawn breaks down oils from pepper spray.
Milk cools the burns, but it does not take away the oil residue.
Don’t wear any oil based products. Tear gas and pepper spray will cling to it.
Cover your tattoos. Cover non-normal hair colors. Nothing identifiable should be seen. Blur them in videos. Protect each other.
Soak several bandanas in water and keep them in water. When they start with the gas put one on a keep replacing them periodically. It will soak up and dilute the gas before it hits your skin.
Swimming goggles can protect your eyes.
Put a passcode on your phone. Take off Face ID and fingerprints. Police can get these from you and search your phone.
No face. No case. Cover up. Blur them out of your videos. Protect each other.
If they bring out fire hoses and you can’t get away without being seen, stay low, roll into a ball and keep your back towards it.
Download an app called Signal. It encrypts messages and allows you to communicate with friends. It deletes everything after some time.
Don’t post on social media. Cops will track location and time stamps.
Remember to disable location services on every app. Most apps run location as a back ground service.
Don’t turn airplane mode on so you can keep communicating.
Write the number of the ACLU or a local lawyer that supports protesting on your skin. No one else’s number should be written down.
Lock your phone when filming and taking pictures.
Erase the metadata from your photos by screenshotting pictures. Never post your originals.

"cis women are not the only ones who suffer under abortion bans" and "abortion bans are a misogyny issue because it stems from the desire to regulate the bodies of (people who are perceived as) women" are statements that can coexist.
It’s truly wild to frame overturning of roe as some out-of-nowhere calamity that has nothing to do with us. Republicans put everything they had behind getting the right president(s) so they could get these justices. There’s a direct line from Trump getting elected in 2016 to this. It’s definitely the Democrats’ fault for not running good campaigns and not having any principles, and it’s also voter suppression, but like if you have the power to vote…don’t owe it to each other to try to reduce each other’s suffering where we can? Republicans have said if they get all three branches, they will make a FEDERAL LAW banning abortions maybe as early as six weeks (meaning even liberal states can’t provide abortion safe havens), so please vote if you care about this.
If you can't bring yourself to care that the Supreme Court is going to review the constitutionality of the Indian Child Welfare Act, thus possibly opening the doors to further cultural genocide of Indigenous Peoples on United States soil, unfollow me right now.
If you think our rights aren't as important to protect as your rights to your own body, i don't want you on this blog.
Never forget residential schools were not a uniquely Canadian issue, they existed in the US as well. Silence and neutrality allowed them to be built and silence and neutrality will bring them back. Whether that's your silence and neutrality is up to you.
Good Job, Supreme Court. You made America even more unlivable than it already was! I hope you suffer, you old jerks, and feel the same fear many of us are feeling right now. We're standing against you.

This is awful. It's horrifying. It's deeply depressing. Rage. Scream. Mourn the tragedy we know is coming.
But remember this: what we are about to experience is the world our grandmothers and great grandmothers lived in. This is what they fought against.
Remember that they won. Even if the victory was temporary, they still won.
We can win, too. Prepare yourself. Finish your mourning, and get back to the fight. Yes, it's awful that we have to have this same fight. It's frustrating. It's heartbreaking. But now is not the time to surrender to despair.
Now the work begins.
