Every single day I live in constant fear that trump will become president again because you stupid cunts on tumblr with no ounce of intelligence think that not voting for Biden will do any good. I'm sick to my stomach seeing this shit. You think that not voting absolves you from the consequences you think that not voting will make things better you do not understand that republicans will vote for trump no matter what and your inaction will lead to him winning. Given the extreme stakes of Project 2025 I need everyone to vote Democrat downballot. Everyone. Bring your friends to the ballot box, make a day of it. Have voting parties. Anything to get people energized.
I am dead serious though. If you know or love an lgbtq+ person, or if you care about continuing to have a choice or ability to push for change in this country, you need to vote Democrat downballot. The leftmost candidates must win as many races as possible. We have to completely smash the Republicans at the ballot box to get a chance at establishing ranked choice, to get abortion rights back, to keep Trump from getting more Justices, to secure the right to protest, and to protect and improve democracy.
The only way to move the overton window left where we want it is to keep voting left, persistently, consistently, doggedly.
Please vote. I know you’re depressed about it. I am too, but we have to vote.

Yes yes, I too am very sad and annoyed that Trump is not dead, I got all breathlessly excited and queued up "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" to be ready for a great announcement, and then I didn't even get to play it. It's a huge bummer.
However, step two of this huge bummer is NOT "Oh no and now his fandom will be EVEN MORE ANNOYING, we have basically already lost :((((" That is the devil speaking. Friendly reminder that Palestine is NOT the only issue in the world, and that if Palestine is the only reason you’re not voting, you probably don’t actually care about the genocide.
I want to put in a disclaimer- Palestine is very important! We should help them as SOON as possible. Call for a ceasefire- YES. Condemn the Israeli government for its atrocious behavior, 100%. Donate to help those in need? Of course. Do all of that. Do everything in your power to help them!
I also want you to note that I can’t vote myself. I’m 15. I have very strong political views on the fact that we should be supporting Palestine. However I myself can’t do much except post this. But I have some very important questions for everyone who chooses not to vote JUST because you don’t like Kamala’s views on Palestine:
What about Russia and Ukraine? Did that suddenly stop being an issue just because of Palestine? Trump has outwardly stated his support of Russia. The people of Ukraine are actively dying. Make no mistake, this is an attempted genocide and shouldn’t be overlooked. And most, if not all, of the people I’ve seen saying “I’m not going to vote because of Palestine” say NOTHING about Ukraine.
What about the genocide in Sudan? Nobody pays that one any mind either. I personally don’t know much about it, but it seems kind of odd that nobody talks about it. There are plenty of others, too, not just there, that nobody focuses on.
What about the civil rights violations in places such as Pakistan, with its lack of affordable healthcare leading to incredibly high prices that make revisiting medial help nigh impossible for the everyday citizen? It may not be as important as, say, genocide, but think about what it could lead to if it were to occur? It could make recovery even harder.
I feel every bit of sympathy for the people of Palestine. I want to be able to help them. I 100% agree that it should impact HOW you vote. But they are NOT the only victims that would suffer from Trump becoming president. They are NOT the only people who would suffer from you not voting.
The genocide can impact how you vote. But it should not impact IF you vote.
This election is shaping up to be the biggest, most consequential election of my life. Likely yours too.
