a photo is passed amongst the men, a photo of you and your children's father. it was the last photo you took before the incident...
"y/n, who is this?" mingyu asks while fidgeting with the photo. his voice was small, it was unusual for him but he knows that if his voice was any louder you might've feared to explain your past.
you took a deep breath and looked up at them, "he's the father of nari and kyun... he was someone who made me feel safe for a good chunk of my life." your eyes became glossy as you started to think about the past.
"he left us four years ago, he just vanished... he didn't leave a message, he didn't take his things, he didn't do anything to indicate that he was leaving... he left me to struggle for the next four years of my life." your hands began to shake and tears ran down your face, mingyu's body sunk into the sofa, vernon and seungcheol clenched their fists and jaws, and wonwoo's eyes shut.
"y/n, he's a fucking scumbag and you know that."
"i know that wonwoo, but i loved him."
you stood up after that statement and held your torso to yourself.
"it took me so long to let seungcheol and vernon in, because i was afraid. i was afraid of letting you in, just to leave me once again. you know how hard it was for me to recover from this wonwoo..."
mingyu stood up and loosely wraps his arms around you, "hey, it's okay... we aren't going to leave you." his comfort made you bawl your eyes out.
seungcheol, vernon, and wonwoo wraps their arms around you and mingyu. their warmth made you even more emotional and sensitive.
"okay okay guys, you can stop hugging me. you guys are making me sweat." you begged with a breathy tone. their arms untangled and your kids began running out to you. nari and kyun push through the men and crawl up into your arms, "mommy, why were you crying? are you okay?"
you nod happily and hold your children very close to you, wonwoo secretly puts the photo into your memory box and hid it away from the kids. mingyu, vernon, and seungcheol laugh at your kids who tried to make funny faces.
“i love you guys, thank you...”

once you came back to the choi home, you were bombarded with arms. everyone around you embrace you as if you weren't going to come back. luckily your kids were fast asleep in the guest bedroom with mrs. choi, you slowly put your bags down and turn to mingyu. "gyu, thank you for sticking with me." he hummed and pat the top of your head.
the next few hours consisted of sitting, waiting, playing with your kids, and sleeping...
you softly hummed gotta go by chung ha and once mingyu heard you he started to sing along with you. it turned into a mini dance party as your kids started bouncing up and down. its clear they made you all happy and blessed to be alive but once your phone rang... you knew the rest of the day would make you uneasy.
you sigh and shut off your phone, the distress caused the men around you to turn. they all knew there was something wrong so, vernon quickly grabbed your phone and ran to the bathroom. he read the messages between you and **** and when he came out, his face showed disbelief in what he read. "y/n you need to stop texting ****"
"vernon, i need to know what he knows so i can stop this."
"well, this is not how you do it. he's just being creepy..."
"vernon, i know he's being creepy but soon enough i'll know what he wants me to know..."
"y/n, there is no way you're going to do any of this alone. we won't let you." seungcheol's stark voice struck your ears and your face turned red real quick. "fine. can we just sleep now? i'm so tired." they all hummed and started marching to the large bedroom.

dinner time with seungcheol’s family after that morning was honestly awkward. you sat with your kids, trying to feed them the vegetables cooked by mrs. choi herself while everyone else was in their own world. as everyone finished up, you took it upon yourself to do the dishes.
"y/n-ah! what do you think you're doing?"
"i'm planning to wash dishes!"
"cheol! go help y/n!"
"yes mother!"
heavy footsteps can be heard suddenly and it somehow created a shiver down your spine. you turned on the sink and put on some gloves, seungcheol appears next to you and rearranged the dishes so there would be an evenamount of work between you two.
never in your life you would've thought doing the dishes with someone would be so uncomfortable but here you are.
seungcheol would look your way for a moment and his features would turn soft, soon enough those soft features disappeared because of your phone ringing. he scurries to your phone before you and answers it, at husky voice answers the phone...
"y/n-ah~ hope you're ready for our deal..."
seungcheol immediately hangs the phone up and looks at you with soft eyes, his eyes expressed worry but faith in you...
"y/n, what deal did you make with ****?"
"cheol, please be quiet. i'll tell you but you can't say anything to anyone else... especially wonwoo."
he slowly nods and grabs your hand, "i won't say a word but you have to promise me you'll be okay."
you rubbed the back of his hand with your thumb and sighed, "i wish i can promise you that but i don't even know what i'm getting myself into. he just wants to meet at a park and talk, he wants to know if i'm okay..."
seungcheol scoffed and shook his head, "y/n, there's no way he just wants to do that... not after what he put you through..." you pulled a hand away from his and placed it upon his cheek, "did you really think i would go alone?"
his eyes met yours and smiled, "my plan was to drive alone to the park and have you follow me in your parents car... i'm assuming he knows your car so we have to be a little meticulous with this. i also hope you didn't forget that i can defend myself, you paid for those jiujitsu classes for me." seungcheol pulls you into a hug and pats the back of your head, "i really hope he tries nothing, you mean so much to all of us... we can't lose you."
