I'm all for hoarding shinies, but do you ever hide shinies for others to find? Before I heard anything about Goblincore, about a year ago, I'd pick something from my collection to take on a walkies and leave somewhere. They were almost always gone when I came back to check. I love the idea that a person or several people who walk in the same area finding random items with no idea why they are there or who left them there. Or even a magpie stealing them. At the time I told a friend that I'd started doing it and he confirmed it was weird.

I just got caught up on your twitter and WHAT the FUCK is going on with that Gladstone playthrough of Arceus I am so afraid?!?
ghfjd OKAY SO. for those who don't know I decided to replay Arceus but called the character Gladstone. This led to a number of insane things happening (some of which I didn't manage to capture bc I didn't know how the video clip thing worked ;; im so sorry) including two of the bosses gitching to allow an easy win and one space-time rift gave me absolutely nothing but star pieces and nuggets.
The Wildest Thing, however, has been the staggering and constant supply of shinies- and not just any shinies! Oh no! These shinies... are all gold. It started out with the humble geodude on Day One just out in the field, but after finding a shiny chingling and an ALPHA mismagius the consensus was that something of a pattern was forming. Better yet, all of these were in field, not mass events- and far far before the end game (proven by this one during the Red Sky Hellscape of Banishment)- so the odds were even lower for this to happen.
The timing was also batshit. Here I expressed a joking lack of a shiny growlithe but my joy at finding a hecking chonker of the boy, only to come across a shiny growlithe in a random single mass event the very next day.
at this point I have a team of five golden shinies so the expectation was, of course, to find another to complete the set- but what would a Gladstone expy be without a posh green bird wearing a bowtie?
Having found a total of six shinies, three times more than I have found in my entire LIFE before this playthrough, I was replete. Complete. Satisfied and quite happy to continue life with my merry band of sparkly bois. But no-
it just.

naturally at this point I am too afraid to keep playing lest I test the luck gods will but EVEN IN THIS ACT OF GLADSTONE'S LAZINESS there is a win that I had never considered! the true way to beat Volo:

1: Shiny Farigiraf
For my first shiny with the shiny charm I decided to make one of my main six pokemon, SpotShadow, shiny. With lvl 3 normal sandwich powers I went into area zero, and after 60 encounters (including Girafarig and Farigiraf) he popped up! He also just happened to have the Dawn Mark
2: shiny Dunsparce
With still quite a long ways to go on my lvl 3 normal sandwich powers I decide to try shiny Dunsparce, and just as my sandwich power was about to run out he spawned (sadly he didn't evolve into 3 segment form)
3: Shiny Orthworm
Ever since my friend and I started playing pokemon scarlet she has fallen in love with an Orthworm she named Yurmi, so for a christmas present I decided to get her a shiny Orthworm! After 58 encounters, and lvl 3 steel sandwich powers, he appeared. He also just happened to have the Uncommon Mark
4: Shiny Orthworm
With some more sandwich time left I decided to look for another Orthworm since I already have a shiny Revaroom. She also happen to have the Lunchtime Mark
5: Shiny Chansey
Will trying to level up shiny Dunsparce in the roaring moon cave with a lvl 2 normal encounter sandwich a shiny Chansey walked into the background of my screen while I was battling another Chansey
6: Shiny Klawf
The next shiny I decide to hunt was Klawf, as it is one of my new favorite shinys. After 178 encounters it literally jumped off a cliff at me! It was hilarious
7: Shiny Charcadet
A fellow pokemon friend of mine gave me some Malicious Armor so I could have my own Ceruledge and I decide to get a shiny Charcadet for it. After 412 encounters, and lvl 3 fire sandwich powers he popped up! His name is Volgo. (It comes form the words Violet and Blade in Esperanto) I now have the final six member of my scalret team of six!! He also, so happened to have the Calmness Mark

With only 10 or so minutes left on my lvl 3 fire sandwich power I decided to try and see if I could get another one, and I did! I now have an Armarouge named Lieutenant who is the true king of the Falink!

While training up Volgo and SpotShadow, and a lvl 2 normal encounter sandwich a shiny Chansey pooped up on my screen lol

We need more of the Commanders do the Coruscant Guard corrupting the shinies.
They Shinies come in with expectations which are quickly shattered. They’re sad and scared so their big brothers come in and help them live in the hell hole of Coruscant.
So what if they blackmail and embezzle money? They get fluffy pillows and blankets.
Oh, the commanders have the Hutts and bounty hunters in their pockets? Well, prove it.
These shinies love and adore their big brothers. They aren’t afraid to stand up to anyone for them, be it captain, ARC, Alpha, or General

Freaks of the Corscant Guard Part One
Slick in the CG:
So obvi Fox saves Slick from decommissioning and is like ‘u work for me or die’
Slick chooses life and is like ‘what’s needed’
Fox doesn’t trust slick like at all, so he is forced to wear a shock collar and has a tracker implanted that’s attached to his intestines (slick doesn’t know where it is only that it’s there)
Slick essentially does Fox’s dirty work and he doesn’t mind, fox isn’t a bad boss at all
Slick becomes a part of the ‘crazies’ squad which is made up of a Psychopath (psycho), a sociopath (socio), a narcissist (narc), a pathological liar (false), and a serial arsonist who burned several natborns (burn)
All of them have trackers in them (diff locations) but burn is the only one who has a collar as well
Slick does enjoy these partners and their craziness
Psycho and socio are the only ones who’ve left the planet and worked with other squads
Fox has gotten them to cooperate by making the squads in question ‘their’ pets
Despite what that means, Socio and Psycho like their pets happy and healthy so completing the mission and keeping them all alive is perfect for their pets
Socio prefers to be alone so often solo missions on Coruscant that are off the books
Psycho enjoys working with new pets and has actually been able to keep one
On an off world mission, Psycho was given charge of a squad with the 41st
It went bad and Psycho was only able to save one pet (he was very upset at his pets being taken), a shiny that survived
The shiny (that Psycho named Baby) had asked for a transfer after the mission and Neyo decided to just let Fox have him
After all, if Baby liked Psycho and wanted to be his vod’ika, there must be something really wrong with Baby
Psycho was absolutely delighted to have a permanent pet! Usually, he kept pets for the length of the mission and then satiated with solo off the books missions on Coruscant
Psycho wanted nothing more than his pet to be happy and healthy, otherwise he’d look like a bad ori’vod and Baby would become a broken toy (no one likes a broke toy)
Baby (under Stone’s command) is given similar shifts as Psycho, well he has the same break times and days off. Otherwise he’s in the prison
Narc hates Baby, as Baby takes away attention from him (as Baby is something new and taking all of Psychos attention)
Narc ends up tormenting Baby when Psycho isn’t around which Psycho catches on too
Baby, who now sees Psycho as a safe place, ends up developing a dependency on Psycho that’s extreme when he’s not on shift
When he’s working, he’s fine, but when he’s free, he’s attached to psycho like a tumor
Slick likes Baby and attempts to get Fox to stop Narc (bc he’s not getting involved in that, no way) and leaves it at that
False gets along very well with Narc, as he is a great liar and has no problem inflating Narc’s ego
False mostly does info handling and spec ops, as he’s a great liar and it’s practically impossible to tell what’s the truth and a lie
It’s not hard for commanders to get the truth from him though, as False is entirely trustworthy and normal besides his lying
The problems only came when troopers stopped trusting him, not understanding that False pathologically lies when the information either doesn’t matter (so he’s lie through entire conversations) or he’s deflecting (captured and asked for info) but when it comes to commanders and brothers lives on the line, he’ll be truthful
Burn is surprisingly the odd ball of the group, as he gets along with everyone and no one
He’s likable enough but he has a habit of going absolutely psychotic around fires and sometimes he just wants to watch something burn
Ra’Haj, the fun-loving and romantic cleric with devilish charm .
Ra’Haj comes from a tiefling tribe in the feywild. He was banished from the tribe once they had found he worships Cyric, the Mad God of Trickery. Though Cyric is often associated with conflict and deception, Ra’Haj is not an evil fellow. He just enjoys to play pranks on people and have a general good time.
This character was commissioned by: Richard, who sadly informed me that the lovely Ra’Haj died during battle. He will be sorely missed indeed!
