wait it's actually so funny that all stiles had to do was shed One perfectly timed poignant tear to get derek to listen to him and dump his serial killer girlfriend. derek's like Well My Track Record Sucks so that's already one point against her. and then he looks at stiles and stiles is staring at him like puss in boots and saying "please don't let my papa die" and this is jarring to derek for many reasons. the main reason is that stiles has never looked at him like Annie From Community (lower lip trembling, eyes fluttering but they never actually shut) before. the second reason is that stiles didn't even tack on a "kys btw" on the end of the sentence so you KNOW he means business. and (jenny from the block voice) Jenny The Darach sees this interaction and is like ?!!?!?! Derek we FUCKED I MEAN MADE LOVE are you really for real going to take his word over mine? and derek looks at this beautiful woman who hasn't done anything damning in front of derek except Show Interest In Him, and then he looks at this kid who's been actively bullying him to his face for like a year straight and is like "i'm with the teenager on this one Where'd You Put All Three Of This Town's Parents, Jennifer?". in a perfect world there's a shot where she's looking at derek in disbelief and is trying to ignore stiles grinning and flipping her the double bird behind derek's back. take my hand and we can live there forever.
