I was taught about 9/11 in like 3rd grade and i started not bringing up my birthday at school since its the 12th
And i was never taught about the Oklahoma city bombing.... the city that I live in. The only reason I know about it cuz on a field trip someone "oh there's the Oklahoma city bombing memorial"
and that's it
I still don't know what the memorial looks like
very fucked up that every year on or around 9/11 at school they would have us watch documentaries about 9/11 that always included footage of people jumping from the buildings. like excuse me if I don’t take this day seriously the american public school system kinda fucked that up for themselves
