Ok, hear me out.
After watching tonight episode, a theory formed in my mind about how the next few plots could link up together.
From the quick look that I managed to get at the article Taylor was looking at, at the end of the episode, I understood that it was a story about a man who was incarcerated for multiple murders but he kept declaring himself innocent (can anybody confirm this? My theory works even in other ways, but I thought this was the way). It mentions also that one of the victims was the accused man 's wife. We can clearly guess that this story is somehow linked to Taylor's past, but what if the man and woman were actually Taylor's parents? (I know, this makes the story kinda a la Barry Allen... still). I know that the article mentioned the surname Martin but it could clearly be that Taylor changes her surname or was even adopted. That could explain why the surnames don't match anymore.
When she is talking to Buck, Taylor mentions how the truth is the most important thing, or something like that. That makes me think that she is gonna start investigating and try to get the innocent out of prison and the actual culprit behind bars.
This is where my ideas for the future plots starts.
What if during her investigations, she actually gets close to the truth and the real killer decides to retaliate?
This would bring her into his crosshairs and, consequentually, also Buck, who actually gets hurt and left almost for dead in his apartment. (Maybe Taylor gets kidnapped or something)
This is where Chimney enters the scene. He has been back for a few days (maybe with Maddie, maybe not, depends when JLH is gonna be back from maternity) but he hasn't had the chance/the courage to meet up with Buck yet. Feelings were hurt and their relationship is frayed, as shown in today's ep when he was saying how he still wants to hit him or something like that. (I was not impressed by the writers' choice, I mean I get it but when he is gonna realize that Buck was in an impossible position between him and Maddie, like Chim was with the Daniel's secret??)
Chimney finally has decided that he need a to talk to Buck, clear the air in between the two of them. So he gets to the loft and finds Buck. In a role reversal of "Flight or fight" and foreshadowed by today's ep words of (paraphrasing here) "I'm gonna use my skills of paramedic to bring him back from the brink of death".
So...
What do you guys think?

Y’all, I’m either very blind or oblivious because I didn’t realize us Madney fans were being called annoying. I was so confused, I mean I know not everyone is going to like the same ships or characters, but dang, to start attacking people or sending disheartening messages and such is not okay. I cannot stress that enough.
But people really think we are the annoying ones? Nope, not in the slightest.
When are people going to finally open thier eyes and see it’s okay for people to like who they want, and it’s okay that others may hate that character? Why can’t people just appreciate that everyone has a ship or character they like and stop the drama and attacking? I really can’t fathom why fans in a fandom work against each other.
Yes I’m saying this from a Madney point of view because that is my favorite ship, and yes Maddie is my favorite character; it was just going to be a given. Jennifer is the whole reason I started watching the show, because I watched Ghost Whisperer first back in 2020 and then wanted to watch something else with her in it. Just because I love Madney though doesn’t mean I don’t like other ships and characters. I’m not gonna lie I’m 50/50 on Buddie, like I wouldn’t be mad if they got together in the show but I’m also not going to be mad if they don’t. I really don’t mind Buddie, and I even include the ship occasionally in the stories I’ve been writing for Madney; I’m not shoving any other ships aside—same with Bobby/Athena and Hen/Karen.
But I do have to say some Buddie fans out their are hella crazy. I’m sorry, but you guys really need to stop and just take a moment to revaluate. I’m obviously not naming names, I would never do that, but I literally saw a comment under a Buddie story, the writer hating Ana, and the commenter hating Ana saying they hope she gets punched in the face because she deserved it—probably from whatever happened in the story, that was written out of character. Like, what? Y’all are really that extreme? Ana never did anything on the show but ruin the fact Buck couldn’t get with Eddie. That’s really how I see it. But that is how tv works. Sometimes your ships work out, sometimes they don’t, and sometimes it takes seasons of building up a relationship and the characters being with other people before you can finally see them together. (For anyone who watches NCIS: LA, think of Kensi and Deeks, who weren’t official until season 6 but you could see the sparks fly in the 3rd season? I think, Idk if it was 2 or 3. One of them.)
I’m not saying you guys should stop shipping, I would never. I am personally glad that everyone has a ship they like, even if it isn’t canon yet.

(I believe these are the main ones I’ve seen, I’m definitely missing some, but you guys get the point.)
There are a few ships on this list which I could never see in a million years, but, does that mean I don’t support you liking that ship? Hell no! I like my ship and I scream it, but I’m also sitting at the sidelines screaming for all of you as well, because I’m happy everyone has found a pairing they enjoy.
So please stop going after people who either don’t like your ship or the characters you like. I know it can get agitating and annoying because you just want to see your ship on the screen, and I hate to say for some it won’t happen, and that’s why we have fanfic in the first place, but please don’t attack anyone. It may be especially upsetting to some fans that maybe just don’t like Madney, and that’s okay, that us fans have our ship on screen and you don’t, and I’m sorry for that. If I could give everyone their ship on screen I would, in a heartbeat.
At the end of the day guys we may not have the same like in characters or ships, but we all love the show they put together. Isn’t that enough, that we get to have this amazing show in the first place?
I’m sorry for the long rant, but I just wanted to get my opinion out because there have been certain things bugging me since I got into the fandom and started seeing/hearing things.
I also just want to address really quick there is a difference in asking and attacking. It’s okay to genuinely be curious and ask someone nicely why they don’t like your ship or certain ships/characters, and I think most of us would be happy to have a civil conversation about why. It’s another thing to go on the defense and be rude and start name calling. Not okay, very disrespectful, and it shows who you are as a person.

Taylor wasn’t sure what she was looking for, but she was looking for something. Something incriminating. Something that would explain why the hell Evan is acting the way he’s been acting.
It’s not like she’s talked to him about having his babies, or pushing for anything more than what they are right now, but she can barely talk to him at all these days without him avoiding her gaze or going from beet red to ghostly pale in a way that’s almost too fast for her to process. Process what the fuck even happened. What she said. What she did. But it clearly hadn’t been something good.
He’s been like this for weeks, and she had thought they were in a good place.
A really good place. Happy. In love. Happy and in love and making everybody who wasn’t happy and in love very jealous.
Taylor believed she had found her person in Evan and he hadn’t given her any indication she was wrong because she felt like Evan had found his person in her.
Taylor pushed her hair out of her face, pulled it back into a messy bun to get it off the back of her neck.
She stared blankly into his closet, their closet, hands on her hips, the fan whirring and whirring, the Los Angeles heat wave unbearable right now, especially for an apartment without air conditioning, which should really be illegal. It felt illegal.
She rummaged around his side, came up empty in the first row, nothing in pockets or jackets or sweaters, but in that second row, where the clothes he never wore hung collecting dust and whatever else, there was a bulge in one of those jacket pockets.
An ugly plaid, flannel thing Taylor had truthfully never seen him wear, maybe on camping trips as a teenager, but she had never known Evan as much of a camping guy, too much of a city boy. Probably why she had been so drawn to him in the first place.
Upon closer inspection, she felt smooth ridges of a square box, pulled it out, and swallowed thickly. It was very ring-shaped. Not what she had expected to find today, but, she guessed, that’s not really fair considering she hadn’t expected anything, really, that was specific. A ring is very specific.
She opened the lid to reveal a beautiful diamond - no - wait - it’s a sapphire that matched his eyes. And hers. Wow. She loved it. A ring. This ring. It feels like -
“What are you doing?”
Taylor turned around, heart in her throat. She could barely speak around it.
“Evan. I - um - found this ring in your coat pocket and it - it kind of looks like an engagement ring.”
He looked at her for a beat, scrutinized her more like it, and it’s not that he didn’t trust her, it’s just that he knew her well enough to know what she’s feeling and when, and right now, she’s feeling caught. And shocked. Very shocked.
His face changes then, breaks open into this beautiful smile, this wonderful grin and she can breathe again, her heart back in its rightful spot in her chest. Floating.
She knows what this means. That it’s true. And her shock and her curiosity that something was wrong and her resulting intrusion in his personal space - which they still believe is healthy to maintain even as a couple - instantly fades away.
“That’s because it is.”
She’d forgotten it was even there in the first place because Evan Buckley is down on one knee in the middle of their master bedroom, and her back is against all of those old jackets and she’s holding the flannel in a tight grip, the box with the ring in his hand now. He’s holding it out to her.
She’s looking at it properly now, and it’s a gorgeous ring, exactly what she wouldn’t have known to choose for herself, and his lips are parted like he’s going to ask her a question.
Ask me the question, Buckley. Ask me to marry you. Right now. I don’t care that we’re in the middle of an LA heatwave, in our sweltering apartment, that my hair’s a mess. I don’t care that we’re not at a Michelin star restaurant and that my ring isn’t floating in a glass of the most expensive champagne. Just ask me, Evan. I’m going to say yes.
Evan takes a deep, cleansing breath and Taylor’s not sure she even breathes at all.
“Taylor Rebecca Kelly, you make me the happiest I have ever been in my life. I don’t want to ever be without you. Will you marry me?”
She finally breathes. In relief. In happiness, in love. She breathes it all in. She breathes him in, his cologne that’s a mix between boy and man, probably the same shit he wore as a seventeen year old boy, but it’s sexy to her.
He’s sexy. And every other adjective she can find that means she loves him. Loves him like hell.
“Yes. Yes, Evan. I’ll marry you. Of course I’ll marry you.”
My mind is quite honesty spinning from all the drama surrounding Maddie and Eddie and Buck and Taylor. Like when I first dove into this fandom I thought everyone was quite happy and people all had their ships and sat in their corners...how naive was I lol.
But all I wanted to say is I’ve been reading quite a few posts and some of you have the greatest responses and make me laugh so hard because the person leaving hate sounds so stupid.
That’s it.

BuckTaylor Week Day 4
Title: Be My Strength
Prompt: “I’m not going anywhere.” + hurt/comfort
Buck turned over on the uncomfortable motel mattress and reached for his girlfriend, sounding a noise of vague discontent when he found the other side of the bed empty and cold. He slowly blinked himself to full consciousness and rolled onto his back, staring up at the ceiling and wondering where she could have got to. It was possible, of course, that Taylor had merely run out for coffee or breakfast, something for both of them to enjoy quickly before they had to head to the airport and catch their flight back to LA. But Buck had a feeling that that wasn’t where she’d gone.
It was only when he sat up and swung his legs over the side of the bed that he caught sight of the scrap bit of paper lying on the bedside table, the message scrawled on it short and simple:
Gone to visit Mum.
The short note was followed by the address of a cemetery, and Buck found himself a little surprised that it had been included. When they’d first started seeing each, even before he’d followed her to her home-town for her father’s trial, he wouldn’t have expected her to include the address, or leave a note explaining where she was at all. She was fiercely independent and there was an invitation in this note, though many might not have seen it. She hadn’t woken him, asked him to come, for she was still learning to be vulnerable like that, but she’d left this note, offering, if he wanted, to join her. The thought warmed his heart and had him reaching for clean clothes to pull on.

and then taylor fucking kelly walks out of eddie’s bathroom having CLEARLY just taken a shower and pulls out the “not everythings about you, buck” line
eddietaylor would be 10x more interesting and fun to watch than buddie going canon
