Piper McLean Appreciation Post
Okay so everypne harps on Piper McLean, and I’m here to tell you how awesome she is. That girl sacrificed so much to be mistreated by many fans! How dare you! Let’s go over what she did in HoO:
The Lost Hero: Had to deal with the realization that she had fake memories and her boyfriend wasn’t her boyfriend AFTER kicking ass at the Grand Canyon. Dealt with Drew Tanaka and many other girls like her, fighting to secure her place on the quest. Once on this quest, acted as a diplomat for Boreas and managed to convince him not to kill them all and speed them on their way. In Chicago, she single-handedly broke Medea’s spell and saved her friends. Then at Enceledus, she kicked ass with the Earthborn and slaughtered them WHILE saving her dad. Then she made the tough choice and erased her own father’s memories. Again kicked ass at the Wolf House. She made Gaea fall asleep enough to free Hera. Charmspoke Jason back to life. She challenged Drew for head of Aphrodite cabin, intimidating a tyrant enough to make her step down.
Mark of Athena: Managed to be a diplomat with the Romans in New Rome. Stopped Jason and Percy from killing each other. Proceeded to stop Gaea’s Eidelons from possessing anyone on the Argo II crew. Dealt with her mother in Charlottesville and managed to make sure that her friends kept a cool head. Fought sea monsters on the way to the Medditeranean. Once at the gates, she helped fight a river god and got his other horn. DOWNRIGHT REFUSED TO GIVE A GOD THE HORN OF PLENTY UPON FINDING OUT WHAT SAID GOD DID TO SAID RIVER MONSTER. Had to watch her friends fall into Tartarus, feeling helpless to go and save them.
House of Hades: Had to keep people that were depressed and fighting together, taking the place as the glue. Had to deal with Khione on her own! Saw Leo get shot into the sky and had to deal with a fucking bomb. Charmspoke monsters into killing each other once in Epirus. Managed to stop many monsters from killing her friends.
Blood of Olympus: Infiltrates Odysseus’ palace, fights zombies. Piper goes to find poison with Frank and assures him when he comes back. Went with Annabeth to Sparta. Dealt with a panicky Annabeth who didn’t know what to do with failing plans. LITERALLY FOUGHT A HORRIFYING GIANT THAT FED OFF OF FEAR PRACTIALLY ON HER OWN AND WON. Got past a menacing guard that threatened to spill poison all over everyone. Sung the song of the snakes and charmspoke the original Athenians into telling them their plan and letting them go through a secret path so they could ambush the giants. Successfully fought against a giantess with her mother’s help, Piper doing most of the fighting. When they got back to CHB, Piper convinced Gaea to fall back asleep. Her charmspeak was so powerful, she convinced the mother of everything pretty much to go back to sleep!
So don’t tell me Piper was unimportant or not as badass as Reyna or Annabeth. She suffered just as much. She did not suffer that much just to be treated like a lesser character by hypocritical dicks.
this is really odd but i imagine the camp half blood infirmary set up kinda like the one you see in fear street- 1978 (even though you don’t get a huge picture of it) just like the basic set up of it.
repost this (if you want) and gimme your riordanverse life like who your bff would be godly parent if your a legacy if you get along with your godly parent your claiming powers just whatever if you want to who your s/o would be dynamics you and other characters have and just what ever how you got to camp also works well if you want to shift and stuff to say what everything is like it doesn’t have to be canon btw people can be alive and stuff

it was actually pretty difficult to figure out what beads she’d have, but eventually I decided that she probably came to camp during the mass recruitment of campers Grover mentioned in the titan’s curse, since she was in the battle of Manhattan and probably not a newbie at the time, but since TTC was in the winter her first camp bead would be the battle of the labyrinth…
the designs for the HoO and ToA beads are made by me but are inspired by others I’ve seen - CHB and SPQR for the unity of the two camps and the sun for Apollo - and there’s only one bead for each series since they only span one year.
