Hii, I Recently Found Your Account And Saw You Have Treasure On Your Fandom List And Would Love You To

Pairings: High School! Doyoung x Highschool! Fem Reader

Word Count: 0.9k

Genre: Fluff, angst with a happy ending

Warnings: Breakup, sensitive language, mentions of bullying, mentions of cheating

Synopsis: Doyoung, Yoshi and you have been best friends ever since middle school, however when you entered highschool your best friend Doyoung got a girlfriend, what you couldn't tell him is how you felt about him for so long even before you ever spoke a word to him.

Hii, I Recently Found Your Account And Saw You Have Treasure On Your Fandom List And Would Love You To

Doyoung's relationship with a girl who soon became popular in the school just stopped all the plans you had with Doyoung and Yoshi. every time you and Yoshi tried to hang out he would always bring up his girlfriend.

The next day after you all moved in together as roommates, Doyoung came back to the dorm upset, when Yoshi went to talk to him you overheard them say how his girlfriend started an argument over him moving in with you.

Of course she did..

Truthfully, you never liked the girl, Jeong Sihyun. In your past school, she was your classmate and made your life a living hell. She and her friend group always loved to target you, they even once pushed you right off your chair. The disappointment you felt when Doyoung announced her as his girlfriend just made you want to splatter the absolute nastiest things at him.

But you just couldn't bring yourself to tell Doyoung, he had liked her for so long and although it bothered you.. you would never be capable of breaking them up.. even when you knew it was for the best.

Doyoung loved her, and she seemed to like him too, although it disgusted you.

But soon the love faded when you constantly heard arguments between the two when she used to come over.

It went from arguments of Doyoung forgetting things to arguments of you.

You only ever heard your name come out from both mouths.

"IF YOU DON'T UNFRIEND HER I'LL BREAK UP WITH YOU RIGHT NOW!"

"SHE'S MY BEST FRIEND!!! WHY CAN'T I LIVE LIKE A NORMAL PERSON FOR ONCE??"

"It's either me or her, Doyoung. You choose, it's not okay to have a female best friend and a girlfriend."

"Oh just like you made out with your male best friend on the bus last week? Fine then, I chose her, and we're over!"

Upon hearing Doyoung's harsh words to his ex, you were left in complete shock. How much patience does he have for him to have not broken up with her right after he found out what she did?

After she left you exited your room, Doyoung was sitting down, the mood felt odd, as he wasn't happy and cheerful as he always was. Part of you was glad, finally things would return to the way they used to be, you could finally hold Doyoung's hand again, the three of you could finally go out and eat breakfast together on the weekends, you guys could finally take your yearly trips, you finally wouldn't hear all over the hallways how Doyoung was cheating on Sihyun with you, everything would return to the way they used to be.

But half of you felt guilty, you were the only reason they fought so often, the reason they broke up…

"Doyoung…. I'm sorry… it's my fault the happiest moments of your life ended-"

"How long were you planning to hide the fact that you used to be bullied by her?"

The silence was too loud at the moment, gosh how much you wish Yoshi hadn't gone out with some friends to the movies.

"We were best friends… what do you mean bullied?"

"Don't you dare lie to me Yn, I know you were bullied, and she was the person who you hated most."

"She never laid a hand on me!"

"Yeah right, just like she kicked your chair while you were sitting on it."

"How did you-"

"You could've been honest from the start, you predicted this would happen from miles away."

Your heart sank, now your guilt felt endless. You wanted him to stop, stop hitting you with his harsh words.

"I'm not mad at you… I'm not upset about this break up either… I just didn't understand why you kept it from me for so long…

"I'm sorry Doyoung, I didn't want you to break up with her since you loved her so much…"

"Loved her? It's impossible to love her, she never liked me, she just dated me for her own advantages."

"I'm sorry…"

Doyoung stares at you while you stare at the ground, you felt like you wanted to disappear, but you suddenly got a burst of shock upon hearing Doyoung start laughing.

"How are you in such a happy mood!!? You just broke up with the person you love-"

"What if we text Yoshi to hurry up? I'll invite you guys to eat dinner tonight."

"What?"

"You didn't expect me to cry over her right?"

"Well.. honestly I kinda did.."

"Wow Yn, you know what? I'll invite Yoshi to eat tonight-"

"Hey! That's not fair!"

You start chasing Doyoung around the dorm, finally you laughed with him again, you finally saw him smile again, finally things were going back to how they used to be.

You and Doyoung sat on the couch as you waited for Yoshi to return from the movies, although it was silent you couldn't help but smile to knowing things would finally get better for all of you.

"Afterall it's hard to find someone true.."

You look at Doyoung, confused but knowing his sentence had a meaning.

"It is…"

Just as Doyoung opened his mouth, about to speak, Yoshi opened to door and ran to Doyoung, although it was a loud mess for a while, you all smiled and chatted the entire way to the restaurant.

You never found out what Doyoung wanted to say that night, he never told you either. Therefore you never knew the exact reason for Doyoung's sentence, but you never asked after that.

Afterall he's right, although it's hard to find someone true. You found your true, and helped him find his..

Seungmin turned over to face the only person he hoped not to see.

L/N Y/N

“My apologies, I didn't mean to interrupt your day.” he bowed as his words exited his mouth.

However, it didn't end there… you recognized this face.

“Oh, no worries. That's alright, I was just confused.”

You let out a small chuckle in order to lighten up the tense mood.

Seungmin got up from his position and smiled lightly.

“I'm sorry to have caused confusion.”

“It’s okay, partially my fault.”

“Oh, don't worry about it, it's okay.”

You were tempted to ask him all the questions you had kept to yourself throughout the past week or 2, however they wouldn't exit your mouth. They were eternally trapped inside with no escape.

“I should get going, I hope to see you around sometime.”

“We will.”

“We will…?*

“Mm, we will, anyways, I'll see you around.”

“Yeah…”

Partially confused, but partially creeped out, you had too much on your mind from your schedules, but this was taking over all those thoughts.

All the words that came out of his mouth were, tender, soothing, low, yet so eiree.

“Y/n?”

“Yes Manager?”

“Are you ready? You took a while, remember we have to get there before 4:00pm.”

“Yes, I remembered, I just got stopped for a moment, my fault.”

“It’s okay, just hurry and get in.”

Entering the car, you shut the door and looked out the window as the car begun moving, you put on your headphones and loaded some music to clear your mind, nothing was working because the words “we will” constantly reappeared in your head, nothing could change it. At the time you never thought this way about any fan, but ever since you ran into Dongyun, you can't think straight. Who was he? Did he have good intentions? Perhaps bad? What about him attracted you to him? It was always just the same questions that you couldn't get an answer too, even though they were absolutely devouring your insides, and you knew you wouldn't be able to perform to your best, all because of these words that just wouldn't stop haunting you.

Before you knew it, you arrived at your location, entering through your assigned entrance and came face to face with a bunch of managers walking around with the idol under them, a lot of big names were currently in the same building as you, although it wasn't a new thing, it never failed to amaze you.

“Okay, Y/n, I need to go this way since I have a meeting, you can go ahead and go to your assigned stylists so she can start preparing you.”

“Got it, how long will you take?”

“I'll be done before you go on stage, hopefully before final rehearsals.”

“So in about an hour or so?”

“Hopefully, yes. I doubt it'll go over 2.”

“Okay, I'll see you later then.”

Your manager nodded and then disappeared into a nearby room, you knew your way around the building, you had been here multiple times throughout your career.

“Hello L/n.”

You turned around to the familiar voice, in an isolated area it made complete sense to hear this voice now.

“Hello.”

“It's good to see you again, you're performing today right?”

“Yeah, I am.”

“I bet you'll do amazing.”

You raised an eyebrow and slightly squinted your eyes.

Knowing this wasn't the real Yang Minyung, you saw a lot more flaws in the makeup, hair, and features.

“Are you performing today?”

“Unfortunately, today I'm just here to spectate.”

“That's a bummer, why aren't you? You normally always do.”

“Didn't invite me as an idol today.”

She did a broken heart motion with her hands along with a small frown on her face.

Lie number two, Yang Minyung was always invited to these events without fail, as one of the top soloist, chaos would break loose if she wasn't invited to an event like this.

“That's unfortunate, I'm sorry about that.”

“It's fine, what time will you be up?”

“Around 6:40ish”

“Oh! That's lovely, I can't wait to see you, bet you'll do great.”

“That's very kind, thank you but I have to get going."

“Okay! Fighting!”

Although the ways were separated, you couldn't help but grow chills at the way you ran into her twice in places that only idols could be in, how did she manage to get in without getting caught by any guards? Or how was she able to run into you specifically every time?

Or maybe…

It wasn't an accident…?

You left your bedroom to pick up a glass of water from the kitchen. It was dark and late at night, however you still wanted to finish reading your book, not to mention your skincare was still on.

Getting your glass of water, you started making your way back to your bedroom until you heard a low knock on your door.

It was a bit suspicious judging by how late it was but you decided to look outside from your peephole to try to catch a glimpse of who it could possibly be.

You saw a man, around late 20’s standing outside your door, looking straight at the doorknob…

Immediately pushing back from the door, you turned the double lock and ran to the bathroom quietly, washing off the cleanser that was placed on your face, closing the door and locking it. You heard a couple more knocks until it went silent, and no further noises were heard.

You thought you could hear the sound of two men lightly talking outside your door before walking away, you took a moment and thought about everything, before you realized…

One voice wasn't of a man…

Rather of a woman.

You only saw a man outside your door, so where was the woman?

Opening the door to the bathroom slowly you gathered a couple belongings and called room service, they assured you no one was in your floor and that they would look into it, and so, you left the room and went to another random door.

You took a breath before knocking lightly in hopes of not attracting anyone nearby.

Hearing a couple noises, such as rustles, and footsteps, you knew someone heard you, you let out a sigh and hoped you hadn't knocked on the door of some creep, you waited anxiously, quietly pacing around your spot and hoped whoever knocked on your door was no longer in the building. Thoughts filled your head until you heard the door lightly open.

“Why the hell are you outside in the middle of the fucking night!?”

The voice sounded aggressive, almost angry, you couldn't blame the guy. It was late.

“I'm sorry… could I please ask to sta-”

Unable to finish your sentence because you finally noticed whose door your knocked on.

Non other, than the one and only Dongyun.

However, the thought never settled in upon hearing the sound of approaching footsteps and 2 voices whispering to each other inaudible words.

This was no stranger to Seungmin. He knew exactly why you stood at his door the moment he heard the two voices.

You quickly turned around with a worried look on your face, and before your mouth could even open, Seungmin dragged you into his room, and shutting the door behind him quietly.

“Okay… what's going on?” he said while turning on a dim lamp next to him, he sat down on the table and kept his voice to a minimum..

“How did you know what I-”

“Answer the fucking question. What is going on?”

You paused upon hearing his voice, tired and raspy, angry and deprived.

“I don't know!! I don't know what's going on myself…”

Seungmin sighed in frustration, before turning on his phone and opening up an app.

“Tell me everything you know.”

“I don't know anything!!”

“Don't be silly! What did you see!?”

“Nothing!!”

Seungmin breathed in slowly, and glanced over at you

“Why are you scared?”

“A man… knocked on my door just now.”

He glanced at his screen and started typing.

“What did he do?”

*Just knocked.”

“Did you catch a glimpse of him?”

“Not much… I can't say any features other than the fact he was tall and looked around mid to late 20’s”

“What were you doing when it happened?”

“Getting a glass of water.”

“Did you see him with the woman outside your door?”

“No… it was just him…”

“So while getting a glass of water just now, you heard a knock and saw a mid-late 20 aged man standing outside your door, he knocked multiple times with absolutely no woman in view until her voice was heard speaking to him!?”

“Yes! He was looking at my doorknob, when I looked out the peephole.”

You noticed him type before beginning to dial a number, the phone rang a couple of times before it went to voicemail and he hung up.

He glanced down and groaned in hopelessness before turning back to look at you.

“Well, I guess you can spend the night.”

“Would it be alright?”

“For right now I guess.”

“Thank you so much.”

You put your bag down and sat on the couch, Seungmin glanced on you before sighing.

“Sorry, could I lay here?”

Seungmin nodded lightly before bring his lamp over and putting it over the table.

“Just in case you need it.”

However, you didn't get a chance to thank the guy because he was already making his way back to his bedroom.

“Hey!”

Seungmin turned around to face you, looking a bit annoyed despite being in the dark.

“What now?”

“You… you're Dongyun… from the fan sign right..?”

Seungmin's expression changed, from annoyed to worried. How did you manage to remember him!? Why hadn't you said anything upon seeing him for the first time? Thoughts brushed his head as he looked back at you and began to speak.

“Goodnight.” He began walking to the hotel bedroom, although it wasn't an answer his response was clear.

“Goodnight.”

However Seungmin wasn't going to bed just yet…

He had some work to do.

“Dongyun?”

Work to complete.

You asked, looking up at the tall man hovering over the couch holding 2 cups of a relatively warm drink.

“Take the cup, it's burning my hands.”

“My bad… is this for me?”

“Yes it's for you, I'm not here with anyone.”

Although the response was aggressive, you let out a smile and drank the warm coffee, you needed it after all that happened last night.

Seungmin kept looking at you before beginning to walk away from the couch and over to the hotel kitchen.

“Dongyun!”

You noticed the young man turn around before completely turning his body to face you.

“Let's watch a movie, or a drama, or anything, I brought my computer and it's my free day.”

“Don't you have any schedules?”

“I do, but not until later on, like around 5:00.”

Hesitant, but later giving in and walking over to the couch, you always had something separating the two of you however the distance being so close startled you, but you kept your word and took out your computer.

“What would you like to watch?”

“Drama.”

“So you're a drama guy huh?” You joked.

Seungmin looked over at you and turned away while slightly nodding his head.

“How long have you been watc-”

“Why are you so nosey? Just look for a drama..” he looked away from you in a hurry, as you kept an annoyed stare.

“Fine then. What type of dramas do you watch?”

“Prefer thriller or action...”

You continued to look for a drama you could watch with him and ultimately decided on one, you noticed Seungmin turn after the intro was over.

Why did he even turn away for so long? Were you annoying him a bit? Or were you just being nosey like he mentioned..? Or both, you decided to try not to speak to him throughout the rest of your stay to avoid causing conflict.

The rest of the morning and afternoon with Seungmin was mostly silent, 5:00pm came and you left off to your schedules only to return later that night, you went over to the front desk upon stepping in the building.

“An extra room?”

“Could I get an extra room?”

“Yes.”

“L/N Y-”

“Name?”

“What are you doing?”

Recognizing the voice, you turned around to face the familiar man

“Dongyun!?”

“You're coming with-”

“Why!?” quickly cutting him off before he was able to finish his sentence, he soon turned around to face you, letting out a small sigh after a moment of intense eye contact.

“Listen, sometimes you can't trust someone on their own.”

“I'm a grown adult, I can take care of myself-”

“Maybe you can but others won't allow it.”

For one of the first times you heard him raise his voice higher than he normally kept it, recalling all your interactions, he always had a soft and calm voice, however right now he raised it ever so slightly.

“What..?”

“I'll explain everything if you stay with me for the time being.”

“I can't….”

However, Seungmin didn't wait for your response before grabbing your arm and dragging you into his room.

“What the hell-!?” although, you were unable to finish your sentence, as you felt your back touch a wall, and right in front of you stood the guy who you thought you knew, but realized that the entire Identity he built for you was a lie.

All of it….

Was lies.

Although the royal family was something that a lot of children desired, it wasn't anything like the books described it. Being restricted from many things and unable to feel the freedom that any human has the right to, having to hold off on food in order to fit the ‘Princess Standard’, holding in tears in order to avoid letting those who looked up to you see you cry, something so simple like friend night was a restriction as it damages the ‘family image’.

Being like any typical only child princess, your job was to sit still and wait until your parents looked for a good prince to take you in and name you queen, it always worked this way around the royal industry, and you weren't no exception.

“Lady… I wanted to inform you that your supper is ready…”

You glanced over at your once shut door and smiled at the maid standing at the fronts of your room, a visible smile appeared on her face as she escorted you out of your room, although you had a notebook in front of you, it was a thank goodness that your lady barged in to inform you about your evening lunch because if not you would've most likely broken down into tears right then and there.

Taking a seat, your butler poured you your evening tea, bringing your meal out to the table, leaving you alone in the comfort of the familiar area and privacy.

Sighing, remembeing all of your upcoming schedules, not to mention one of them was only a couple hours away. Early the next morning you had to make your way to a special event hosted specifically for royalty and celebrities, although you were excited to meet new people and step out of your comfort zone without the need to worry about your parents coming along, half of you just wanted to ditch the meet up and run off to a field of flowers in order to take a breath of fresh air, no one to watch you wear tight fitting dresses or heels, and get a sense of freedom for the first time since your childhood.

Nervously walking back to your room. Feeling uneasy at the thought of seeing the face of that prince who you so desperately wished not to see, you just wanted to make new friendships and meet new people, however you could only pray that throughout the event you wouldn't have to look at him, nore speak a word to him.

After all, it was all you wanted, and all you asked for.

The next morning, you made your way to the familiar building that would hold some of the biggest celebrities at the moment, you sighed nervously as you would be meeting brand new idols and seeing unfamiliar faces, faces of brand new idols, whom you hadn't had the chance to see on TV yet.

___________________________________________

The special hostess was someone you were familiar with, for your regular schedule it'd be the same thing. Conference, photoshoots, if journalist approached you you would answer all their questions, and if you got lucky… communicate with other guest.

However during the conference…

No matter how hard you tried… the tears were there, and they wouldn't go away, you excused yourself from the table and walked over to a secluded corner where you swore no one would find you. You let your tears fall as you recalled your mothers words.

“You're going to marry Prince Lee.”

“Mother, I do not agree with this...”

“I apologize dear but you need to take over whenever me and your father can't. The prince showed great interest in meeting you and you can't just dismiss these important moments, you knew they were going to come eventually.”

“You can't force me to marry someone whom I do not wish to”

“If it were me I'd let you choose, however your parents know best-”

“Of course.. parents always know best.”

After that you stormed off and didn't allow your mom to finish what she needed to say. The tension was big that morning and everyone in the house knew that your mom and you had argued, it was obvious. You being a part of the royal family yet unable to enjoy the title that many children dreamed of, seeking freedom and that exciting life that everybody else had, often finding yourself thinking the words “why me?”-

“Excuse me?”

Crap.. had you been crying too loud? How could you forget you were still in public and in a quite important meeting. Of course someone would come looking for you-

“I'm sorry! I completely lost myself-” however your words stopped upon seeing a handsome man standing in front of you. He looked like an idol. Small eyes, fair skin, dark brown hair, chocolate colored eyes, and most outstanding of all, he was tall.

“I just wanted to check and see if everything was okay… you seemed upset or bothered by something. Would you need to talk about it?” He sounded sincere, words sounded cautious and full of pity.

“Trust me I'd love to talk about my intrusive thoughts, however this is a personal problem.” you responded, attempting to hold back from completely breaking down onto the stranger.

“That's okay… I'm a stranger so I get it… let me introduce myself, I'm Song Mingi.” a smile broke onto the boy's face as he stared at you waiting for your personal introduction.

You couldn't help but smile back at such an innocent face, this time your smile contained nothing but reality, a sincere smile that you couldn't hold back. Something you hadn't felt since childhood.

“My name is L/n Y/n. Pleasure to meet you Song Mingi.” You responded, extending your hand to shake his.

“Pleasure to meet you L/n Y/n. Hope we can become good friends!” His smile was heartwarming, full of kindness and sensitivity, for the first time in years. You felt happy in the time you least expected to feel such an emotion.

“Mingi..!? Dude! Stop walking away from the group like that-” you heard another voice call from a distance, upon looking over you saw an unfamiliar face who quickly entered into panic as he approached his proclaimed friend.

“Oh my god! It's a pleasure!” the other guy said as he bowed his head and pulled Mingi down with him.

“Oh no- there's no need for that-”

“I deeply apologize for my friend's behavior… he can get out of hand sometimes..” the boy interrupted, with a nervous look on his face as he awaited your answer.

“Don't worry about it. Your friend is a lovely person, I hope we'll be able to meet again soon.” You responded, trying to show the new guy that you were friendly and nothing to be afraid of.

“Oh thank goodness… again I apologize for everything. I hope you can excuse us, because we must make our departure now.”

“Of course, that is okay.” You quickly bowed and waved at the two guys who were now walking away. Mingi turned back and called out “Bye!” before disappearing with his friend.

“YALL!! MINGI WAS ABLE TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH L/N Y/N!!!”

“WHAT!?”

Everyone's eyes shifted to Mingi who was returning with a bright smile on his face.

“I don't get why you guys are so surprised… she's nice-”

“BOY! DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA WHO YOU JUST TALKED TO!?” San called, attempting to fix his bag and place it inside the small cubby on the wall.

“Um… L/n Y/n…?”

“Were you respectful? Did you at least greet her respectfully!?” Seonghwa asked with a very concerned pitch.

“I think…?” Mingi responded hesitantly, unknowing what to respond and beginning to question himself and his manners.

“Real question is if you were respectful Woo-”

“I WAS REALLY RESPECTFUL!!! BUT MINGI SEEMED WAYYYY TOO NONCHALANT TO BE IN FRONT OF SOMEONE AS POWERFUL AS L/N!!!”

Everyone glanced at Mingi and shook their heads in disappointment as Mingi grew a concerned look on his face.

“Is she someone important?” Mingi asked nervously, beginning to regret speaking to you in the first place.

“Mingi… if she's here of course she's important…” Yunho replied, with a stressed look on his face and Mingi gulped.

“Who is she…?” Mingi once again asked as Yeosang turned and responded “It's the current princess, probably soon to be queen.”

“WHAT!?”

The members sighed and again shook their heads in disappointment referring to Mingi.

“Why was she-” however Mingi stopped mid sentence, almost looking like Mingi’s world glitched completely.

“Why was she..?” Jongho questioned, trying to revive Mingi from his abrupt stop.

“Nevermind. Forget it.”

The members glanced around at each other, confused but understanding, they all nodded and continued their activities.

However, Mingi's mind was far from empty.

Why would a princess… so beautiful like you… be spotted crying…?

You entered your familiar palace, being in a better mood than usual and expected.

Everyone in the household could tell that you were all cheery and skippy, it was rare for you to be all smiley after your 14th birthday, so seeing you in that precise state was shocking to even your parents who were waiting for you in the living room.

“You look excited…”

“Glad you noticed, mother.” You added to the comment with all the anger in your voice that was strong just a few hours ago gone.

“Did something you'd like to talk about happen?” Asked your father who held a building smile on his face.

“I'd rather keep that personal father.”

Your parents, who were shocked by your answer, nodded and allowed you to hold a small bit of privacy from them.

However that happy mood was about to disappear completely when you heard your mother say the words you dreaded to hear.

“Prince Lee!”

The gaze which was once held at your guardians shifted to the end of the room where a tall man in his mid 20’s stood… it was indeed… prince Lee. That stupid prince who ruined everything from start to finish.

“Good to see you today Y/n.”

“Don't direct me by my first name as if we were close.”

A smirk crept onto the man's face, which did nothing but higher your suspicions.

“You must be in a bad mood princess… would you like to talk about it?”

"You seemed upset or bothered by something. Would you need to talk about it?"

“I would've preferred to not see you at all today.”

“I came for a reason, princess, it would come here just for fun.”

“I don't wanna talk about the marriage which hasn't yet been confirmed, I don't wanna ruin my life with any deals either.”

“Princess, it's nothing like that. Just give me a chance to explain it to you one on one.”

Truthfully, you were curious, but you didn't wanna accept anything from this untrustworthy prince.

“It’ll only take two minutes.” He muttered, clearly annoyed by your silence.

“Fine. But make sure to make it quick.” You replied as he rolled his eyes, welcoming himself to go to the other side of your palace uninvited.

“Sure princess.”

Once you both entered a more secluded corner, still guarded and you made sure of it. He looked back at you and smirked lightly.

“What do you want from me? Surely you're not romantically attracted and that's clear.” You asked, unsure of his answer and partly wanting him to just back away and leave you and your loved ones alone.

“Well you're not wrong.” You heard the prince reply, beginning to take a ring out of his pocket.

“Then what is it you want?”

“And why are you entitled to know all of my intentions? Huh?” He said, with a quite aggressive tone, trying to make it clear that he still had yet to speak.

You leaned back on the wall as your shoulders fell in half relief.

“Go on.” You said, attempting to bring his attention back to his words from earlier.

“Listen here, if you try to say anything to your parents about what I do behind the curtains… I'll know. So you better keep that pretty mouth of yours shut or else.”

“I have no reason to expose all that lame shit that you do in your personal life.”

“If you call it lame shit again I'll beat the crap out of you.”

“Beat the crap out of me and the only one who's losing is you. I know you're using me for money, if my parents or the cameras catch you hurting me in any way the weddings off, you can't do anything to me, I'm smart enough to know that.”

You heard a small chuckle come from him as he took out his ring and gifted it to you.

“Just a small gift to get you to shut your mouth.”

You glanced back at him with a knowing smile, as you took the ring and raised it back to him.

“I'll be having this checked!” You said in a mocking tone, knowing he can't hide anything from you.

He nodded knowingly and looked back at you, “Check it, you won't find anything.” you heard him mumble as he began to walk away, you watched him as he approached your parents and shook both of their hands respectfully before making his way out of your property.

“What's that jerk have in mind?” You whispered in a low and quiet voice as you threw the ring away in a nearby trash can.

Night time hit and you dragged yourself to your closet, sliding on some pants that you had hidden at the back of your wardrobe and giving yourself some new makeup to cover your identity, making your way out of the palace by your window, into the direction of the still open local library to pick up a new book to add onto your collection.

On your way to the library, you ran into multiple post boards. Few lights were on and the warm moon illuminated the night sky, these moments were the freedom you so much craved for. Finally a moment of peace and quiet, finally a moment for you to live like any ordinary person, even if it was a secret.

You stopped in your tracks upon noticing 2 figures of 2 men in the distance. You heard them laughing and talking regularly as they approached you so you decided to just continue very cautiously, attempting to keep away from their path..

“Is that L/n..?”

How did he know who you were…? You recognized this voice, but your memory couldn't get a grip of who it was..

‘Continue walking… continue walking… continue walking and don't look back…’ you told yourself repeatedly

“Mingi… that isn't her…”

“Oh- it looked like her for a moment…” you heard the other voice say.

The urge to look back at the mention of your new friend's name was tempting…

So what did you do…?

“Mingi…?”

You turned around to face the comforting face of this man who was once a stranger.

You noticed a surprise look on his face as he burst out a huge smile and rushed over to hug you, of course… you couldn't help it so you hugged him back.

“L/n.. how have you been?”

“Normal I guess…”

Of course, from the scene, you noticed the face of his shocked friend who definitely hadn't expected to see such an important figure out during dark hours of the day which would soon become tomorrow.

He quickly bowed down and brought himself to a stop and loss of words.

“Pleasure to meet you, miss…”

“Please don't bow down in my presence… Please treat me normally.” you managed to say, showing your signature smile as you watched him grow back to ease with all worry fading from his face.

“L/n- this is Yunho.” you heard Mingi say, you extended your hand ready to shake his as he mimicked your movements.

“Jeong Yunho at your services.”

“No… you don't have to be at my services…”

Smiling, you looked back at Mingi ready to say your goodbyes.

“I’m glad we were able to run into each other again… I must get going though- I have limited time and must get going-”

Both men stood and looked at you before Yunho hit Mingi's arm and snapped him back to reality.

“L/n… wouldn't you like to go get drinks with us..? Being up to your status must be difficult.. wouldn't you like to go get some dinner? It's on us.”

The request caught you off guard, you looked around before looking back…

“Isn't that too much…?”

“No..? You probably work so hard everyday, I think a friend out day would do you well.”

“I would love to accept but-” you knew this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and you hated that you couldn't help but be skeptical, you could always go to the library, anytime, any day with permission. A night out was a huge no-no.

“Are you worried about someone knowing who you are?” Yunho asked in a worried manner.

“That's part of the reason-”

“Mingi brought a jacket with a hood… it could be used to cover your face.” Yunho responded, giving you a small smile as you looked back at Mingi who was taking out the hoodie to show you.

“We're going to a secluded area, not many people go there these days, so chances are that it's going to be empty.” Mingi added, you could tell Mingi was trying very hard to make you accept their offer.

It was weird nevertheless… you almost felt like they somehow knew your situation which creeped you out a little.. not so much, just a little.

You stayed quiet thinking about their offer, ultimately you silently nodded and accepted.

Mingi put his jacket around you as you stood in between the two tall men, who attempted to shield your identity from any passers-bys, Mingi stood close to you as you looked up at him.

When you thought about it you only ever saw him once, you had no idea what he did for a living and the only piece of information you had on him was the fact that he was someone well known and that his name was Song Mingi.

It was the first time you saw him under the moonlight, the first time you heard the beautiful sound of nature and didn't think of it as your top value. You couldn't remember a time when you made the sound of waves crashing together and tree leaves brushing against each other as background noise.

But today? Today was an exception… because no matter how hard you tried, your gaze wouldn't leave the guy who stood next to you, eyes glued onto his features, fingers gripping your hand attempting to keep yourself back from holding his hand.

This was truly a moment for you…

You arrived at the bar which you were quite nervous to be at, mostly because if someone caught you being in such a place you would get in big trouble by both your parents and the public, however all your worries quickly went away as you sat down with both guys who made you feel more comfortable than they were supposed to, or better said, than normal.

You were a person who's trust was hard to gain, so the fact that these two almost newcomers, which was okay but at the same time made you nervous, but you truly felt safe around these two guys who looked to be around your age.

Your drinks came and you were quick to take a sip, the taste of alcohol truly shocked you however it wasn't the worst thing you had ever had so you continued to drink it as the two men joined you.

Mingi turned to you and begun to ask “L/n is it okay for me to ask you if-”

“Y/n…”

Mingi, confused, asked you, “What?”

“Just call me Y/n.” You corrected.

Yunho glanced at Mingi, they both knew the alcohol was beginning to take action. Yunho knowing it would probably end badly, took the glass away from your sight, bringing it near him as you began to move your head down onto your arms which were laying flat on the table.

“I miss the old times…” you managed to stutter out, which made Mingi and Yunho turn to you in order to listen.

“Why do you say that…?” Mingi said cautiously, unwanting to ask the wrong questions or even cross some sort of invasive line.

“I miss when I was stress free… when I was able to do anything without people judging or watching my every move…”

Both of them didn't dare to say a word, as they both felt like they were about to discover something important about your life.

“I feel trapped… why can't I be like any regular human…? Begin a relationship with who I choose…? Why can't I have more moments like these without having to worry all the time about the public…?”

Tears began forming in your eyes as you brought your legs on the chair for some odd reason, perhaps for extra support in order to avoid a breakdown in the middle of two untrusted adults.

“Y/n… you can go on… we'll listen to everything you say even if it lasts the entire night…” Mingi replied, going over to your side and hugging you tightly, in hopes to save your tears from falling off your beautiful face.

Truthfully everything Mingi did made you nervous. Even in a somewhat unhinged state, your heart fluttered at Mingi's low pitched voice speaking to you. Your words deep inside your tongue, getting tangled at all that you wanted to say. Everything he did was perfect and it was really like he heard your silent cries… How could someone understand you so well? How could someone so compassionate and enthusiastic show such sincere feelings

You don't know what happened the rest of that night, you were too out of it to remember and you really don't even recall how much you told them. You knew that you wanted to avoid them because you didn't know how much information they had on you now, but it was hard, because they were one of the only people who made you feel even somewhat safe.

But it was urgent… you had to avoid them.

“Do you think she was honest with everything she said last night?” Yunho asked Mingi as they were in the changing room, putting on their new stage outfits and throwing their old clothes into the small lockers attached to the wall

“She was already pretty drunk by that point, so I don't think she was lying… to add on to that she is royalty so everything she said isn't impossible…”

“It seems a bit off… someone so important hiding something so big that only she and the people working with them know…”

“It does seem weird… guess we really can't trust anyone these days. It's quite terrifying that such a big name is hiding something, and we don't know who it is.”

“I guess we should be extra careful at night and with who we trust-”

“YALL!! WHAT'S TAKING YOU SO LONG!!!???” Wooyoung yelled as he entered the room earning a scream from Mingi.

“HEY!! YOU CAN'T JUST INTRUDE!!!”

“YUH-HUH!!”

The two argued for a while before they both left the room to go get their makeup done, there was a lot that couldn't leave Mingi's mind, but he decided to keep it mostly empty for the time being because he had to focus on performing for the public and his fans.

If there was something he regretted it was not getting your number whenever he had the opportunity to, hearing everything you told him and his best friend the previous night he really couldn't believe just how fucked up the higher ups could be.

He felt off though… and he really didn't know why. Ever since your conversation he couldn't help but remember those words that stood out to him the most.

“Begin a relationship with who I choose…?”

“I just wish I would've had time to meet the right one before this… now It just feels wrong to love someone”

Whatever it was... he noticed it, your pain, your scars, your cuts, your cries.

And you had no idea how much he wanted to help you, get you out of that misery that you had been going through, make you the happiest woman alive, make you smile and laugh everyday. He really wanted to… but he truthfully had no idea how…

Hongjoong’s voice echoed from the end of the room, concerned and attentive he asked “Mingi? Are you okay?”

Mingi snapped back to reality at the sound of Hongjoong’s voice as he noticed Jongho looking at him confused.

“Yeah I'm fine.”

Jongho lifted an eyebrow to Mingi's vague response, which was unusual for Mingi especially in a situation when something was bothering him.

“Mingi, you've been spacing out a lot lately, are you sure you're okay?” San asked and Mingi nodded affirmatively, still on cloud nine even after all the check up questions.

“My minds been filled up but with a bit of water it'll go away.” Mingi confirmed, slowly bringing himself to the small couch where his water bottle was, he drank a bit and began scrolling on his phone to clear his mind and allow a distraction, however it was hard, and no one was there to deny it.

He knew the members would all be the same if they heard everything you said, it was chilling knowing that no one was trustworthy nowadays. Not even the people who are supposed to support the country and fight for the right, because they hid dark secrets that would get anyone killed.

But the question still lingered…

Who...?

“You told someone didn't you..?”

“I don't know if I said anything or mentioned any names…”

“You jerk…” the prince spoke, with an aggressive tone to his voice.”

“At least I'm not denying it.” You waved your hand up in the air and he glanced over at you biting his thumb lightly while desperately looking around for any possible witnesses before pushing you against the wall.

“Didn't I tell you not to talk to anyone about it...?

“Look, truthfully I could blackmail you anytime I wanted but do you see me doing that?”

“If you tried I'd know who the unknown messenger is.”

“Keep telling yourself that” you responded knowing he would be unable to hurt you because of the audioless CCTV camera in the alley.

Quickly slamming his fist against the wall, he let himself wander away before returning to you.

“So you don't know if you told anyone??”

“No, I really can't tell you an honest answer because I don't know.”

“And all because you were drinking!? What princess does that?”

“And what prince runs illegal rings?”

The prince shot a glance at you partly eyeing the camera that was hidden in the corner of the dark remote area.

“I’ll let you go this time. But if you dare to tell anyone else, I will find you.”

“Yes… from here I promise to keep this pretty mouth shut.” You teased him as he flinched slightly and turned back to look at you with invasive eyes and a malicious look that held nothing but trouble.

Nothing more was said, he let you go and he himself left. He had a meeting and couldn't waste too much time with you, you watched him leave as you made the turn just to see a shadow at the end of the alley.

“Good to see you Mingi.”

Mingi flinched and quickly ran up to you, holding your arms in place and shaking you frantically, concerned for your well-being.

“What was that all about!? Are you in danger-”

“Answer me one thing Mingi… how much did I say that night?” Your voice was monotone, low and tired, Mingi leaned back for a moment, a little scared by your sudden change in attitude.

“Y/n, don't stress yourself you didn't say too much, all you mentioned was that there was this prince that couldn't be trusted because he was involved in some bad things, you didn't tell us what or who!” Mingi was truly frantic, scared for your well-being, unwilling to make you feel guilty or bad for breaking a random deal that you had with someone who was untrustworthy and a danger.

“That's a relief… Mingi please don't say a word about it. Forget that night even happened.”

Mingi just nodded, listening to you but more focused on all the scars that surrounded your visible skin, looking at all the fresh and old cuts on your sensitive body.

“I can't let you live like this Y/n…” you heard Mingi say as you glanced up at him with a small chuckle coming out of you.

“Don't be silly.” You responded, slowly retreating yourself from the scene and bringing yourself back to the main road, the safer and more comfortable area.

“Before you go… at least let me take care of you. I can tell you haven't been doing so-” Mingi called out from behind, you turned around with a confused look, eyes focused on the person who you considered a friend and visibly cared for.

You managed to mutter a nervous “What are you talking about?” followed by a light chuckle, slowly turning around to face him fully as he approached you, pushing your hair behind your ear and resting his hands on your shoulders.

“Why do you do this to yourself? You should love yourself… not cut yourself.”

You visibly stopped moving, looking down and seeing all the easily spotted bruises that you didn't notice were in plain sight, you quickly put on your jacket and began to retreat from the main road, attempting to get away from him in order so you wouldn't have to be faced with the same embarrassment.

“Y/n… let me love you. Let me show you what true care feels like. Allow me to demonstrate what I really feel towards you tonight. Give me permission to kiss you all night, hug you all night. Let me get out all of these feelings and give you the chance to feel true happiness and freedom.”

You felt your back push against a wall as Mingi's face got closer to yours, you felt his hands slowly grip your waist in place as he began to bring himself down to the crook of your neck, giving it small pecks and kisses.

“Mingi- this is wrong… stop..”

“Y/n… let me show you what you have been craving for, love and freedom… I wanna be there for you when you need it, be the first to celebrate your wins, be the first shoulder you cry on, be the first person to give you tips on things… Even if we can't be in a relationship, at least allow me to be your best friend, because no matter what I wanna be there for your moments of grief or joy. I don't wanna watch you get with someone who you do not feel anything for, but if I can even just do one thing to make you feel better, or get a smile out of you… I'll do it.”

Unknowing how to respond, you brought your hands to his back as you felt his long fingers trace along your thighs.

You felt some sense of reassurance as you brought yourself to slowly wrap your arms around his neck and give him a slow and wet kiss, the reality felt so unreal for a moment to the point that you didn't know if you were dreaming… you both lost track of time as you entered your own worlds with the simple help of lip to lip contact.

“I love you so much…”

“I love you too… but this can't happen- we can happen…”

Mingi looked at you slowly, giving you the softest eyes you had ever seen.

“It only takes once to find true love… I found it…” you heard him mumble as he landed a kiss on your temple.

“Stop doing this… you're making things harder for me… I'm trying to stay away from you but you just continue coming and looking at me with those eyes, talking to me with that voice… how many times do I have to tell you that this is wrong! This relationship between us can't happen!”

Tears began streaming down your cheeks, slowly hitting your lips and falling onto the concrete, Mingi's fingers slowly came up and caressed your cheek, bringing a kiss to your ear.

“If it can't happen today, I'll look for you in my next life… I'm sorry I couldn't help but in our next life I'll make you the happiest woman alive. I promise, I'll make you my wife in the future…"

"I promise…”

Hii Can I Request An Angst & Fluff Idol!jeongwoo? Been Deprived Of Trsr Fics Lately :< Thank You So Much!!

“Isn't he the cutest?”

Jeongwoo turned to face your eyes which were glued to your phone, he couldn't help but roll his eyes and look right back to his own individual device.

“I don't know what you find so attractive about him.”

“Well he's cute, he's nice too so I don't really know what there isn't to like about him.”

“There's better people out there.”

“Well, to be fair you're never gonna find the best person in the world. That's just delusional, the best person is who is right for us and that's different for everyone.”

Your best friend finally made eye contact with you for the first time since you both ate, you turned off your phone and placed it face down on the table.

“What about you?” You asked, turning your full body to face him, who was busy drinking his coffee.

He responded with a confused pitch “What about me?”

“Do you like anyone? I always talk about him so I just wanted to know if you had anyone like that.”

He glanced up at the ceiling thinking for a solid moment, he glitched out of reality and completely lost himself in his own world. You… who had now become awkward, laughed a bit which seemed to bring him back to his senses.

“I do like someone, but I don't wanna tell you.”

“Aw come'on now, don't be mean.”

“I'm not, I just don't go around telling everyone like you do..”

“See? That just proves my point that you're mean.”

“There's a huge difference mind you.”

Rolling your eyes, maybe because you were now genuinely curious to know who he may have liked, or because of how he was being a jerk. Nevertheless you brought yourself to stand up and went to the kitchen.

“I should start prepping dinner, is regular pasta okay with you?”

“If you're gonna treat me to some food then might as well make me something luxurious.” he taunted, a slight smirk creeping onto his malicious face.

“You're not worth my time and energy.” You teased back in which a visible frown appeared on his face, turning back to the front of the couch and turning on the TV to put on some random channel so he could at least try to assist you in making dinner.

Although Jeongwoo and you had known each other for practically forever, you both had what could only be described as a love-hate relationship even though you both were technically each other's closest friend.

“Jeongwoo, pass me the ball.”

“No, come get it yourself.”

“You always tell me that, at least kick it a little.”

“Make me.”

“I'm gonna get run over if I go over there!”

It was your favorite excuse because he knew you were right, and he couldn't bear to watch you get hurt. It was always the best thing to say when he didn't want to pass you a simple ball.

“Thanks, Jeongie.”

He pretended to not like that name, you knew he did. Despite you cringing when you said it for the first few times you got used to it and it became a way of teasing him, and now it was really more of a habit.

Moving into college you both became roommates, really no one could complain even though you liked to pretend it was the most miserable thing that could happen to you at first… well sometimes still like to tease him that way.

“You've got to be kidding me.” you muttered

“You know you like being with me.” he responded, flopping onto the couch.

“I've already spent the last 12 years of my life with you- I don't need to add another 4.”

“Hey, at least it's better than getting a stranger, you've known me for 12 years and know I'm not a creep at least!”

“You're gonna throw parties every weekend!”

“I will not!”

“Ugh… I knew I should've transferred.”

“I'll only throw parties with your permission!”

“I don't like parties so if you're gonna throw one, tell me at least 3 days prior so I can make plans to go out.”

“Deal.”

“Oh! And you're cleaning up after yourself!”

“Yes I know… I'm not irresponsible..”

“That's debatable-”

“Hey! Let's just make some rules and boundaries list. You make one, I make one and then it's a fair game.”

You thought about the offer for a moment until you nodded and made your list of rules to follow, that really applied for both you and Jeongwoo because all of them were reasonable.

And that's mainly how you ended up where you were, roommates with whom you perceived as an all too familiar face.

————————————————————————

“Do you wanna go eat?” You heard Jeongwoo ask from the other side of the couch.

You glanced at him, both of you had been studying in the living room, although he was in a different major, you did sometimes study in the same room because you knew very well that there were always those phone tendencies.

So you both completed assignments together sometimes in order to limit your access to those tendencies… So upon hearing him you wondered if he somehow got ahold of his phone and dialed some random friend's number so they could go get takeout together and you somehow were so laser focused on your assignment that you hadn't noticed him pick up his phone.

Just as you were about to scold him and tell him to focus, you noticed his phone on the table where it had always been. Confused, you looked over to see his eyes fixed on his computer before looking up at you.

“Are you talking to me?” you asked

“Come’on, don't get delusional. You would never be so focused on studying in order for me to go unnoticed when I pick up my phone. Yes I'm talking to you!”

“My bad-” you muttered, rolling your eyes at the unnecessary offense that he just gave you, almost wanting to reject him because of that but decided to nod just because you were hungry. “But you're paying,” you added..

He nodded slowly as he slowly shut his computer “Yeah… it's my treat”

He was getting up slowly and only then did you start to wonder if he was okay, he seemed off, kind of upset and a little stressed, you set your computer to the side and picked up your phone, “you okay?”

“What do you mean?” He replied, making his way to pick up his wallet which was sitting on the TV table, he opened it to check how much money was in it.

“You seem a bit upset, or nervous. Are you okay?” You asked again, this time he just simply nodded without saying a word. It was abnormal behavior for him and that kinda made you more suspicious, but maybe he just wasn't in a chatty mood and the only one who would be worsening it would be you, so you decided to stay quiet.

It wasn't late at night, but it definitely wasn't early. There was a fast food lot nearby so there was no need to hop onto a taxi, there weren't many students in the area like you expected, so the walk was pretty peaceful.

Glancing up at the moon and then glancing back down in front of the non-busy city “It's a nice night isn't it?” you could hear Jeongwoo say beside you.

“It really is, it's nice and quiet, there's a light breeze, and the lights are gorgeous…”

“I agree..”

You both walked in silence for another few moments before you looked up at him and asked.

“Speaking of- why did you decide to invite me all of a sudden?”

Jeongwoo turned to you and made quick eye contact before breaking it and looking back to your surroundings. “I kinda figured we both needed a break. Nice and simple explanation.”

“Oh that's cool but I don't buy it- I think you wanna tell me something.” You teased.

“I have nothing to tell you- you're a boring person.” He replied with a frown appearing on his face, slight pout as he placed his hands in his pockets and brought his face down into the crook of his jacket in order to shield his nose from the cold… sure it was fall, but to be fall it was definitely one of the warmer nights today.

“Still cold sensitive huh?”

“A little”

“Guess you've really never changed” you said with a sigh, slightly smiling and remembering the old times with your childhood best friend.

“I haven't thrown any parties ever since we became roommates. That was 3 years ago.”

You froze in place, you never noticed how close it was to the last year in your curriculum, and you also didn't realize how Jeongwoo, the life of the party… never actually threw his own ever since he moved in with you.

“Crap, I never noticed that we only had one year left, I'm moving out of the dorms next year.”

“That's right.” He answered to your comment, you who was slightly petrified at the sudden realization hitting you.

“I don't know if I'm ready for that yet-”

“Why? Because you wanna see -”

“No! Because I won't be able to see you again!”

Jeongwoo stopped in his tracks, looking at you confused, “you're gonna miss me?” He asked in which you replied with an annoyed pitch “you jerk, how would I not miss you? I've been with you for practically 15 years by now and you expect me to just forget about you?”

“Well- I kinda did…”

“I’ll find you and I'll show up to your wedding when you least expect it.”

You noticed his mood drop a bit and you wondered if you had said the wrong thing, you immediately apologized but he brushed it off.

“I won't show up to yours just know that.”

You lifted an eyebrow, staring at him confused by his words.

“Why?”

“I can't watch the girl I love get married to someone else.”

“What…?” You questioned, words shaky and almost trailing off into the air.

“Don’t say that you didn't know-”

“I really didn't -”

“Of course you didn't. You were too busy loving someone else to notice me.”

“Jeongwoo - I'm sorry… I really didn't know.”

Before you realized you had arrived at the food area, you glanced at him who was already making eye contact with you.

“What would you like to eat?”

One year meant one more rose,

It had become a tradition as time passed and things changed.

The first year meant one rose, a rose that would die out within the first few weeks of it being in a vase, petals falling onto your table and then into the floor, just to be picked up and thrown into the trash.

Two years meant two roses, yet another rose that would die out within the first few weeks, petals falling onto the floor to be thrown into the trash.

Three years equals three roses, four equals four, and so on.

And today… today you put the fifth rose into your vase, five years had passed since your crush on him, the crush you held onto since freshman year… the crush you could never get over no matter how much your friends told you to.

No matter how many times it was demanded to get over him, you just couldn't and you knew it was helpless trying… because you would never stop seeing that smiling face that you fell in love with. At night you would go to sleep thinking about his laugh, accompanied by his words of assurance.

You had seen everything he had to offer, except for his romantic care, you couldn't help but remember the old times when you didn't worry about having to hide it from him, you didn't have to shield any side of you. Even when you started out on opposite ends of the battlefield, you began fighting on the same enemy in the end. So why couldn't you get over him? Why couldn't you stop thinking about him when he already gave you more than enough?

————————

You entered the almost empty college classroom and found your friends sitting near the door, Jake with a turned chair and lunch on his lap and Sunghoon sitting on the opposite side of his chair, both facing Heeseung and Sunoo.

You sat down next to Sunoo, who was busy talking about the latest school drama. He would say random things like how someone just began dating someone, then going to who was absent that day and some, according to him, cool school theories that he found online or heard around from gossip.

You interrupted, “where's Jay?” questioning why he hadn't yet gotten to the table, he was really the only one missing. Jungwon and Ni-Ki wouldn't be showing up due to their own personal schedules, and since usually Jay was among the first to arrive at the designated meet up place, it was a bit confusing.

“He had to stay in class for a bit longer to help with a bit of cleaning.” Jake responded.

“What!?” Who would question you for being confused when your first automatic thought was the image of Jay deciding to be malicious and make a mess without going noticed, but it backfired when the teacher walked in on him and made him stay after class for the cleanup… which was, of course, very out of character for him.

“Voluntary work.” Jake corrected as you took a sigh of relief, you weren't prepared for Jay to suddenly shift personalities like that and if anyone in the friend group was the type to the point that if they did you wouldn't be surprised, it was obviously Jake.

Sunghoon glanced over at Heeseung, who was too busy spacing out with his thumb lightly pressing against his lip and eyes hyper focused on whatever entity could've been in front of him this time.

“Earth to Heeseung.” Sunghoon muttered, taking his fork and diving into his meal, Heeseung’s gaze shifted to Sunghoon and somewhat spaced out again before he shaked his head lightly and leaning back on his chair.

“You okay?” Jake asked, noticing his silence ever since class ended, Heeseung looked over at Jake and nodded, “Yeah… just had a busy mind all day.”

Sunoo gasped dramatically, bringing his hand up to cover his mouth, “Looks like someone has a crush~”. Heeseung chuckled lightly and stayed silent, Sunghoon shared a shocked and confused expression before glancing over at you.

“Do you actually like someone?” Jake asked, unsure of what to expect, as Heeseung had only liked one person whom he was aware of, and he didn't even know he had gotten over her. Sunoo, the king of drama and gossip, didn't even know Heeseung had liked someone in his lifetime.

“I wouldn't say that- but…” scratching the back of his neck nervously, ears turning red as he began getting anxious on what to respond..

You couldn't help but jump back in surprise to his response, you hadn't heard him like this before and you weren't even aware he was capable of having romantic feelings for anyone in the first place. “Who is it?”

“Yena.”

“Kim Yena!?” Sunghoon asked in surprise, out of everyone he didn't expect Heeseung to respond with the name of a somewhat popular girl in school. He had never seen the two of them interact so it was out of place and felt strange, the only similarity he thought the two shared was the fact that they were studying the same thing and shared a couple of classes.

“Yeah- I recently got close with her after we were paired to work on a project together, we've been working together a lot on other class assignments, and I've been feeling a little strange around her recently. I don't really know how I feel about her, you know?”

You all glanced at each other in shock before looking back at Heeseung.

“Does she kinda suit your type?”

Sunoo raised his eyebrow a tad bit as Sunghoon sent a glare at him… you waved Sunghoon’s gaze because you hadn't told Sunoo how you felt about Heeseung so it wasn't at all his fault and you’d probably be the same if you were in his place.

“It's not that she doesn't, but I just don't know. I mean there's a lot of people who suit my ideal type yet I don't have any romantic feelings for them.”

“I didn't even know you had gotten over girl A.”

“Wait there was a girl A? And I didn't know!?”

Again, Sunghoon sent a glare to Jake and Sunoo for their mindless comments to which you just waved off, he was really the only one who knew in the table group and you didn't really know what he made such a big deal over.

Sunghoon stood up and grabbed his wallet from his pocket.

“I noticed that none of us have drinks so I'm gonna go buy us some, what would you guys like?”

“Water”

“Coke”

“I'll just take some juice or banana milk if there is.”

Sunghoon nodded, “Y/n can you help me?”

“Yeah, of course.” You stood up and accompanied Sunghoon out of the classroom, walking over to the vending machine that was nearest to the classroom, that was mostly a joke since it was the nearest but still a decently far walk, you helped him take all the drinks that he passed over to you.

“You okay?” He asked, still facing the vending machine but with a tint of concern filling the cleaner corners of his voice. You smiled lightly, glad he had the care to ask in the first place as you softly nodded.

“Yeah, I'm okay. I saw it coming.”

Sunghoon passed you 2 bottles of banana milk, one was for you and the other was for Heeseung, you also held Jake's coke as he held Sunoo’s water and his own apple juice.

“You've liked him for a long time, isn't it rough for you?”

“Yeah it is- I have five flowers in my vase and will probably be adding a sixth one next year, but it's okay.”

“You're still doing that rose thing?”

“Yeah, I'll continue until I get over him, I mean it's not much work, I just find a new rose every year on the same day and put it inside the vase-”

“Isn't it a bit obsessive?” He interrupted, “I thought you would've stopped by the second year.”

“I thought so too, but I guess I'm still going at it.” You chuckled, trying to make a small joke to lighten up the tense mood.

“What happened, y'all seem so moody.” a familiar voice called from the other end of the hallway, not far away but far enough for the voice to slightly echo.

It was Jay, he was coming from the other side of the school, probably from his volunteer work, you waved as he caught up to the both of you.

“What's wrong? Why are you guys so awkward? you both look like a broken up relationship who happened to run into each other in the hallway, being forced to walk next to each other because they were being held at gunpoint.”

You snorted a bit, he wasn't wrong but you couldn't hold back a grin as you hated his explanation to describe you and the tall guy who stood next to you.

Sunghoon rolled his eyes, “It's cause Heeseung recently confessed he likes that Yena girl.”

“Like Kim Yena!?”

“Yeah, the Yena he shares a major with.”

Jay made a face and looked at you. Jay was the only other person you had confessed your feelings about Heeseung with and now you were somewhat regretting it, he was always supportive about it but you really did dislike the extra attention you were receiving the moment Heeseung decided to have a love of his own, he was allowed to so you didn't understand the attention and attitude from it.

“Before you ask, yes I'm okay.”

Jay side eyed you and nodded lightly, “okay, that's good.”

“So what are you gonna do now?” Sunghoon questioned you, trying to hold his gaze from shifting to you in order to avoid making you uncomfortable.

“Nothing I guess, just wait and see what happens.”

Jay took the lead in the self proclaimed interview that was taking place, “What if Heeseung comes to you for advice, you're his closest female friend after all so what will you do?”

Sighing, you put your head down, tempted to burst open your banana milk and drink it all in one gulp, “I will do what any good friend would and give him good, critical advice.” You responded, turning away from the both of them to avoid them seeing your already watering eyes.

Both of them stayed quiet the rest of the way, giving you the chance to cool down from the tornado of feelings that you were probably having, Jay offered to take the drinks from you to give you a chance to go to the bathroom and get yourself together.

You really, really, hated feelings.

————————

Heeseung was playing with his pencil as you both sat outside your club room door.

You both had walked together but there happened to be no one else in the hallway, assuming your teacher was still in their break as the classroom seemed to be locked and empty as well, you simply sat down, resting your back against the wall and waited.

“What should I do?” You heard Heeseung mumble, it was obvious he was directing the question to you, but you were too busy on your game to even care to notice.

“Y/n- I'm sorry to put this on you but, how should I handle this situation?”

You glanced at him, ignoring him for a moment before pausing your game and looking up at the ceiling, you thought about a good way to respond, leaning your head back to allow it to rest on the wall behind you.

“I think you should take things slow with her, I used to be friends with her for some time so I can guarantee you that she's a loyal person, if she shows interest for someone it's probably not gonna go anywhere until she manages to get closer to them.”

“So she's a loyal person.”

“Mhm, I really hate to say it but if there's a person I can bet all my money on saying they will never go clubbing or cheat on a partner, it'd probably be her.”

Heesung finally looked your way, keeping his eyes fixed on you, paying keen attention to your words, “What happened between you two?”

“Eh, we kinda just shifted, just stopped talking, we didn't argue or end on bad terms or anything.”

You noticed his interest go back to you, he nodded, leaning his head on your shoulder and granting himself the permission to take a small rest on you, shutting his eyes to save them from the burning sensation they had.

“You're an amazing person Y/n.”

“Not that amazing.” You grinned.

“You are, you put others happiness before your own, I really wish you would value yourself a little more though.”

You smiled, leaning your own head on his to keep him in place, you both took some time to rest before hearing the hearing footsteps of someone approaching you, Heeseung had already fallen asleep by that point... he hadn't been feeling so well that day so he was quite tired.

Kim Yena was truly one of the most beautiful people you've ever met, she was gorgeous both inside and outside, so truthfully… You were a bit glad that Heeseung had a crush on her rather than anyone else, even though you were a bit upset, you did have to learn how to get over him even if it meant the hard way.

And so, you kept your word and gave Heeseung good, justified advice… the best you could give and Heeseung never failed in showing you just how thankful he was for you, inviting you out to eat and taking you shopping.

However, despite trying to seem happy in front of his eyes, behind the curtains you cried a lot, trying to think of why it had to be you who ended up heart broken in the end despite your loyal love for your best friend for the past five years that soon became six.

Six roses in your vase, the fifth flower already dark and gloomy from the time it's been sitting in the same place. You sat on your counter and quietly sobbed as you remembered the years you'd been with him, and the time which you presumed as miserable, freshman year. Things were no longer you and Heeseung, because he had already gone on multiple dates with Yena, all which went well.

Heeseung called you and even though he avoided bringing up the topic, you wanted to know so you always brought it up yourself. In person you couldn't look him in the eyes, when you saw him part of you felt betrayed even though you had no reason to feel that way.

All of those feelings continued until the seventh date… when Heeseung finally asked her to be his girlfriend…

“She rejected you…?”

“Mhm.”

“What!? Why!?”

“She didn't like me in that way.”

“Then why did she even go out with you to begin with?”

“I don't really know.”

“What else did she tell you?”

“She likes someone else, and that she just couldn't really bring herself to like someone else.”

“I'm sorry that happened… she just wasn't the right one…”

“I don't really know what I saw in her… I liked someone who didn't even glance in my direction.”

You didn't know what to say, you felt terrible for being glad that she didn't share the same feelings for him, even though it meant that he would probably be upset for multiple days on end.

“If it makes you feel better, I feel the same way too.”

“So you did like someone?” Heeseung asked, you somewhat regretted speaking, so you just silently nodded.

“I still do.”

“Who is it?”

You stayed silent for a moment, unsure of what to respond with. You didn't think about your word choice before so now you had to bear with the feeling of the realization coming through.

“Someone who never looked in my direction.”

Heeseung chuckled lightly and brushed your hair, soothing you and getting rid of any and all tension between you both.

“I think everyone has looked in your direction at one point…”

“And this is the exact reason why I just hate you so much…”

Heeseung flinched slightly, taken aback from your harsh words, “Excuse me…?”

“You always make things so difficult for me.”

“I'm sorry, I don't understand -”

“I swear to god, everytime I try to get over you, you always seem to do or say something that just draws me right back into your stupid trap.”

“Pardon me…?”

“I like you okay? I know it's stupid and trust me I've told myself that multiple times too… but every single time I try to walk away or get my mind away from you, you just have to pop back into my mind and completely brainwash me again.”

Silence filled the room, you brought your hands up to your head and held it. Headaches coming across from all the sudden emotions that ran through your veins.

“You like me…?”

It was the moment you realized that you had let your intrusive side take over. You really just wanted to disappear.

“Crap, I'm sorry. It was stupid of me to say that-”

Before you could finish you felt a finger press up against your lips, the slight feeling of your ear being massaged.

“I like you too… a lot actually…”

“What…?”

Were you dreaming or was your brain playing tricks on you? Making you hear what you wanted to hear..?

“I liked you for a long time actually… but I thought you would never view me in that way so I forced myself to get over you… even though I knew I never could, and I never would…”

“I don't know how to respond-”

“You don't need to… actions show more than words…”

He pressed his palm against your cheek and brushed your cheek bone, kissing your lips lightly and brushing his skin against yours, allowing those few moments of contact to take control and do all the talking.

That was all the confirmation either of you needed.

————————

Lightly kissing your boyfriend's collarbone, allowing yourself to sink onto the couch with him below you, hearing his soft breaths and hisses brush against your neck and travel into your ear.

You slowly stood up from your topping position as he lightly covered his eyes with his arm and chuckled.

“Stop being shy now.” you teased, and he waved his arms in dismissal.

“I'm not- I'm just thinking about things…”

You rolled your eyes at the thought of him possibly overthinking things about the relationship again, you resumed your activities and went back to kissing his collarbone, putting your hand under his shirt and onto his stomach to feel his abs.

“I love you- I hope you know that…”

“You can love me as much as you want, but I love you more.”

You fell onto his chest, allowing yourself to rest on him and shut your eyes to relax, his house was always a cozy place, almost like a second home to you. It comforted you to be there just like the way the owner of the house did, you put your head over his shoulder and noticed a singular rose petal laying on the floor.

You smirked lightly at your initial thought that your boyfriend had possibly bought you flowers in celebration of your first couple of months together as a couple, so you began looking around with your eyes until your eyes landed on the counter.

Which held a small vase of roses… not any typical roses however, the roses found in the vase were very well out of state and pretty much dead, they had been there for a while.

All except one of course, which looked new and recently brought in.

And when you counted, you saw a total of 7 Roses.

“This is interesting.” You heard a voice call from afar, it was a voice you were more than familiar with. One which you would normally consider comforting…

But right now it was everything but comforting. Why was he here now? What were the chances that out of the 8 billion people in this world it would be him who entered this very place at this very moment.

“Didn't expect to find you here.”

You shut your eyes, trying to gain all the necessary courage needed before turning around and looking at him face to face for the first time since a year ago.

“I don't want anything to do with you.” You responded, attempting to get out of this situation as fast as humanly possible, however that probably wasn't the best thing to say to him ever since your breakup. You were too anxious that you didn't even think twice about your word choice.

“That's a little rude, I was expecting a little more from you… at least a small greeting.”

You gulped seeing his expression change to a tiny frown that could be argued to be a pout. It took everything in you to not react to that expression, it almost felt intentional… like he knew you couldn’t take it. You hated that expression. Despised it…

“What the heck!? Why didn't I get a scholarship?” You heard your boyfriend say from the other end of the hallway.

Both of you had decided (more like been forced) to volunteer for after school cleaning of the auditorium since the graduation ceremonies were coming up later this month.

You were among the top students of that year unlike him…

“That's what you get for goofing around during class.” You exclaimed, making sure he would be able to hear you despite the echo in the empty hallways of the school.

“You make it sound as if I don't pay attention to class-” he frowned, catching a glimpse of you chuckling in a teasing way, making him react with an offended stare. “That's because most of the time you didn't.”

He frowned once again, “You're exaggerating, we've never even had class together so you wouldn't know.” He was quick to defend. You smiled at his reactions and nodded.

“Whatever you say.”

“Hey Y/n? Are you and Changmin still together or…?” Sunwoo muttered over to you, slightly whispering to which Chanhee was quick to react by hitting Sunwoo in the back.

In reality, you knew that he tended to be a good student with a few exceptions. Other than his obsession with creepy dolls and horror movies he tended to be normal. His friend group was large and you happened to be close with every single one of his friends, especially the main trio he had between Chanhee and Sunwoo. Because he hung out with them so often, you also began to hang around them.

“What the heck Sunwoo?” Chanhee was quick to add, attempting to excuse him. You were quick to shrug it off and say that it wasn't a big deal and it didn't bother you, you looked back at Sunwoo. “Yeah, we're still together. Why do you ask?”

“Would you date him even if he was a part of a cult? You both seem inseparable.” Sunwoo asked, Chanhee had been eating his food peacefully and looked over at Sunwoo confused by the question.

Sunwoo sat back and thought for a moment, hand up to his chin as he stayed in a thinking position, it was part of his goofy nature.

“Sunwoo, they're both on another level of bonded, what are these questions?” Chanhee said in his regular sassy pitch.

“Curiosity kills sometimes.” Sunwoo shrugged. You turned back and saw Changmin was distracted talking to Hyunjae.

If you knew how dead wrong you were, you would've never said it in the first place. It looks like being a mafia member was enough to get you leaving your almost 8 year boyfriend.

“Honestly, I probably would break up with him if he was in a cult… But I don't think there'd be any other reason unless he cheated on me, I don't think Changmin is that type..”

Sure. He didn't have time to explain his situation and why he became a member in the first place, but the fact that he carried a title with the word mafia in the first place was enough. If he was harming innocent people then you wouldn't put up with it.

“Changmin… please live your life and let me live mine.” You managed to mutter. It hurt. It hurt so bad to see your ex boyfriend in front of you, seemingly sharing the same sadness as you. You wanted to burst into tears and go into the warmth of his arms, the way you would back then when you had any sort of doubt.

His eyes… his eyes didn't shine the same way as they used to, that's not only now, it's been a while since they lost their spark. How much you missed staring into his hypnotizing eyes back when everything was right.

“Take this as a promise.” Changmin handed you a small box, you stared confusedly and chuckled lightly, partly in disbelief.

“If I knew I'd be with a sugar daddy then I probably wouldn't have waited so long to confess to you.” you proclaimed, making him chuckle nervously.

“I told you countless times that you don't have to buy me gifts-” you started, before being silenced at the contents of the box.

“Oh-! Don't cry!” He immediately said, pulling you into a hug and comforting you in the place he knew you loved best. His arms.

It was a small ring, nothing too big yet something that brought you up to the moon, this was what you had waited for. You immediately looked up at him in shock as you felt your vision begin fuzzing. Your eyes watered.

“You mean it…?”

You asked, to which he simply nodded.

“I'll make you my wife someday, I don't need a ring to confirm that. You're mine, not anyone else's.”

You looked back up at your boyfriend who felt your head moving and decided to look down at you.

But now, it wasn't the same. His eyes were like staring into an empty pitch void of emotions. His signature smile wasn't the same without the white in his eyes, he looked so depressed now… so upset at everything.

His eyes… it was one of your favorite parts of him. His eyes which shined in the dark and were shaped like fine almonds. Those eyes which dragged you into his world and you weren't complaining, you felt comfort in his eyes..

“So that's it?” He muttered, “You think I'll just let you go that easily?” He gripped your arm tightly, he didn't intend to make you feel threatened or unsafe, let alone hurt you… this was a grip of desperation, if he needed your attention right now and he successfully had it.

“Changmin please-”

“Don't call me Changmin… call me Q.” he muttered, his eyes were teary as he revealed another small box, much nicer and higher quality. You could only assume the contents of this one as you fought to hold back the tears that wanted to come out so very badly.

“I'll have your code name be Q, if you hear me call you that then just know that it's my way of me conveying deeper emotions into our relationship” you muttered, taking out a small notepad and writing something down, tearing the page shortly after and giving it to him.

Smirking, you grinned and looked back at him.

“Why Q?” He expressed, finding the nickname of a singular letter confusing and meaningless.

“The letter Q is the 17th letter of the alphabet. The number 17 represents new opportunities, so I'll take our relationship as a fresh start no matter how many years we've been together in the future. Everyday with you will be like a new awakening. I also wanna add deeper meaning to our relationship, make it unique.” You smiled.

Only then did you both notice the door to the shop slide open, it was an old friend of yours whom he remembered you not speaking highly of in the past.

At first he found it confusing, it wasn't until now that he realized the amount of thought that went into a nickname that seemed effortless. Even though to others it was words of affection that made the gloomy days brighter, names like babe, love, and blossom… to him it was Q, and he wouldn't change that for anything.

You nodded, looking back at Changmin and speed walking away.

“Y/n, there you are. Come’on let's go.” He muttered, seeming annoyed, Changmin knew that this was your doing. You had probably called him to come pick you up before this entire conversation went down.

He sighed, catching up to you fairly quickly after you finished paying for your items, taking you by the shoulder.

“Come with me, I promise to make it worth it.”

Shaking your head, you pushed him back. “I don't want anything to do with you. Don't make me repeat it Changmin, let me go.”

His patience was coming to an end, he gripped your arm tightly and prepared to snatch you away after receiving your consent.

“Don't forget who you belong to. You're mine and not anyone else's. You weren't supposed to forget that.”
