Guys it’s been a rough weekend but we schmovin-
Got the stomach bug and old Betty’s car battery died. But hey! Back on college campus now finally!
Went for a walk in the dark and got an oatmeal cookie now just kinda sitting outside and enjoying the sprinkling weather and nature with sounds of bustling nightlife.
I need to start painting again but singing has been making me really happy, there’s a lot I need to do and I’m pretty behind.
However it always gets better 😊 I’m sure it’ll turn around real soon and everything will be okay!
I saw this post that was like sitting in places that aren’t meant to be sat on is a different level of happiness and to be quite honest completely fair. Like I’m laying down on this concrete wall looking up at the night sky through the trees and this is really nice.
I’ll share so y’all can see it with me lol.

Everyone's freaking out but...
The new Spider-Man far from home trailer dropped and everyone's freaking out.
HOWEVER, what if it's set just before Infinity War?
In infinity war Peter's class were on the bus, maybe returning from said trip? I certainly hope so...I refuse to freak out over not seeing certain characters in a TEASER TRAILER.
While you all go about in a panic ( truthfully you shouldn't, remain calm until the endgame release is closer, hang in there a bit longer) I shall sit being sitting here cuddling my Iron Man plushie...hoping he gets his happily ever after (not ending, I need him to live and be happy with Pepper and have that baby he dreamed about damnit).
I'd like to take a moment to give a little love to kids who grew up with Passive Aggressive Parents/Guardians
A little love to the kids whose parents dumped their problems they had with each other on you instead of confronting each other.
A little love to the kids who felt they had to be the messenger, mediator, and couple's therapist for their parents because they couldn't communicate with each other.
A little love to kids who had to play guessing games to try and figure out what their parents wanted from them.
A little love to the kids who felt very lucky to be in a household where their parents rarely yelled and fought until they realized that there was always tension hanging in the air of unspoken arguments.
A little love to the kids who felt the weight of the tension on their shoulders and were anxious and stressed and sad because of it.
A little love to the kids who winced every time their parents would smile and laugh while talking about their frustrations instead of being straightforward about their feelings.
A little love to the kids who realized they internalized all these traits and saw how it hurt themselves and the people they had relationships with.
A little love to the kids who are slowly trying to work the passivity out of their system, better their confrontation skills, and communicate better because they've seen what it does to people.
You are strong and I send you my love and support.
Just when I think I can't fucking take it anymore and I've reached my limit with how much shit I can put up with, I drink some water or get a night's rest or something. Just a little something so I can pull another burst of energy out of my butt and finish that last stretch, getting myself just a little closer to having just a little bit less shit to put up with.

Weekly study reflection (June 1-7) 💗🧠
Goals: Study at least 7 hours or revise 4 chapters a day Goals achieved: 3/7 (June 1, 3, 5)




💌 - When I told you I'm a potato, I meant it, guys. My biggest blunder this semester? Being lazy for an entire month in April, which left me binge-studying 23 days before exams. I ambitiously aimed for 7-10 hours of daily study and promptly burned out in the first week, lol. Well, it's embarrassing. It's okay guys… Feel free to use me as a bad example. That way I won't be that useless. Haha, just kidding! We either win or learn :) Now that I made the decision to not fail this semester, I’ll make the most of my time, even if it's not perfect. So… here's my evaluation of the first exams prep week :v

Goals & objective 🎯
🧐>
The goals I set could be more attainable and specific.
Studying for 7 hours doesn’t mean I am effectively learning something. I could learn more or less in the same amount of time.
Revising based on the chapters isn’t practical for exam preparations. I don’t need to relearn everything, and it gets boring for my rebellious mind.

I need to set different goals for each subject & topic.
Outcome-based objectives rather than time-based ones.

Time, energy, and focus management ⚡

Boring study schedule. As I set my goals based on study duration, I made a fixed study schedule with a fixed study interval. I got knocked out really fast.
I tend to get burnt out every other day when I study for more than 5 hours.
Long sessions lead to diminishing returns. My study time keeps decreasing throughout the week.
I’m not too fond of Pomodoro because it breaks my flow. Still, it is helpful when I have difficulty focusing or don’t feel like studying.
Coffee doesn’t necessarily enhance my focus. Drinking enough water works just as well. Morning coffee causes me anxiety during noon study sessions.
My brain works best in predawn hours until early morning.

Add a big buffer to the study time, so you can start when you’re physically & mentally ready and don’t feel guilty when you start late.
Break the study time into shorter intervals with breaks.
Use a variable-interval/variable-ratio reinforcement schedule. Stop when you’ve learned/done enough or are tired. Give yourself a little reward.
Optimize study environment and various learning methods for sustained focus. Keep it interesting!
Adjust caffeine intake and timing. Drink enough water.

Learning Techniques 🧠

Since I have only studied Statistics and Economics until now, my biggest challenge is the numbers 💀 My biggest weakness. The only way out is to practice and practice more.
I think the theory part went pretty well.
Unless the book is ‘poorly written’ or hard to understand, I don’t really need pretty notes. Scribbling the book and writing side notes work better for me.
Flash cards for key concepts and terminologies.
I use the Feynman method and mindmaps to review my understanding of the information. I usually explain the concepts to the walls or my cats, lol.
I still need to make time for the practice tests.
