Nina: Influencer. Fashion, food, body positivity. Does the dances, and is very good. The kind of influencer to be invited to premiers and shows. Matthias: Dad tiktok, teaching everyone how to cook/fix things. Also films commentary tiktoks rarely when he disagrees with political happenings on the app. Nina shows up a lot and they’re the cutest couple on the platform. handle is @helvarmatt
Wylan: Science side. blows things up a lot, sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. Jesper can be heard yelling in the back of some of his videos after a particularly big explosion. Those tiktoks quickly end after that. And can we mention the spelling in his captions? handle is @wylanvansunshine

Kaz: his content is like that one asshole lock guy who breaks into locks whilst completely destroying them verbally. I have just started the Fourth Wing Saga (hopefully we get a third Book) and I‘m in Awe Right now.
This One of the Books like ACTOR & Six of Crows were I‘m thinking Holy Shit…this cool…give Me more of that!
Leigh Bardugo could write 13 books with the Crows as the main characters doing absolutely NOTHING with no real plot other than them hanging out and bickering with each other–and i would buy and rate 5 stars every single one of them.

So I was at rehab and I was reading crooked kingdom. So I’m curled up in the corner of the couch fully invested. So I’m reading and reading and I get to Matthias’s death. I let out the biggest gasp and went
“Omg, omg, omg.”
And stared right at my friend. My mouth was wide open that a fly could’ve flown right in. I literally had to put the book down for the rest of the night because I was in shock. Idk why I’m sharing this lmao

It's been a while since I've read six of crows and Crooked Kingdom so I apologise if anything is incorrect.
Six of Crows duology spoilers ahead <3
At the start/when they first meet:
Nina brings life. She heals, right? Matthias is a soldier (?) He hurts, he kills.
Where they end:
Nina is the one causing death with her altered powers, Matthias is the one trying to help. He no longer wants to kill the Grisha, he wants to help he wants it to stop.
They changed and grew together instead of apart.
As they changed as people instead of separating they learned to love these new versions of themselves and each other. They were always so different, but matched so well.
there are also different religions in the different cultures on the grishaverse, and different religious and non religious characters interact with each other. None of the different religions feel less real than the others, some of them are more explored but all of them feel real.
I like that Six of Crows, Shadow and Bone, King of Scars, etc. Have religious characters in them. Because we get to see every facet of how it effects them as a person and how it affects the story. How deeply or not they believe. How much is pushing the religion on others and how some are not. I like seeing how much thought the author put into seeing their world as three dimensional with a great deal of thought and backstory to help us form a picture of the world.
I love thinking back on a book that I’ve read and loved and getting that nostalgic feeling that’s unique to that one specific book. it’s such a beautiful but melancholic feeling.
