I audibly gasped when Crosshair missed, especially since his hand was stable under pressure of Omega being in danger in E9. OMG.

Also, I need to know if the assassin is Tech. Two full episodes today and no closer to any answers. So much teasing.

Only Crosshair could have let her go in that moment. Crosshair, who's learned not only to trust Omega but to respect her autonomy. Who knows what it means to be the cause of your loved one's pain for reasons outside of your control. Who's willing to risk everything to honor her wishes.

And only Omega could have convinced him to do it. Omega, the one person who never gave up on him. Who taught him that people can change for the better, even himself. The person for whom his hand doesn't shake when the shot really matters.

I was devastated when he failed to hit them with the tracker. It's not often that Star Wars shocks me, but I needed to let the credits roll as it sank in that he really missed.

It would have been so easy for the writers to give them the win here. For this to be the culmination of all their character growth this season. Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad about it. This is fantastic. I have no idea what's going to happen next. The writers are making some brave choices this season, and I am so here for it.

I made a Bingo for season 3 of the bad batch I will probably change it a bit once we get a tr trailer but until then I was bored

With just over a week left until the season three premiere, I thought I’d share my bad batch bingo card! Gotta be honest, half of this is made up of genuine theories I hold, and the other half is just stuff I think would be super cool to see.

Don't remember if I ever properly posted these but Season Three is a good a time as any.

Ventress, looking at Omega’s family of emotionally unstable men who would try to blow up the entire galaxy if she got anything worse than a paper cut: if you are it’s not my problem

i’m still hoping for a CX-2/tech reveal, if for nothing else than to see this scene play out

So like what’s gonna happen when Omega comes back from the rebellion with a boyfriend?? My guess is that Crosshair takes up sniping again

Crosshair: Do you ever think about how fucked up it would have been if you’d stayed with the Empire instead of me?

Hunter: What? No! No, why would I think about that?

Crosshair: Just thinking.

I love the Headcanons that talk about Omega starting to date and date people as an adult because it's fun to imagine the response the rest of the Bad Batch would have and while I love the Headcanons that talk about "overprotective older brothers" I like the concept of They trying not to be like that so as not to bother Omega.

Mainly because it's fun to imagine that at some point they had to sit down and talk to each other about trusting Omega to take care of herself and that they should respect any decision she makes.

Only for Omega to show up with a Lando Calrissian caliber guy (I came up with the character randomly but if you analyze it a little, it could work a bit as a ship... I think) a criminal, con man, gambler, etc. But with a good heart that Omega is able to recognize at first glance but the rest questions it a lot.

I imagine a scene where they meet Omega's "suitor" and end up having a nervous twitch but can't say anything so Omega won't get upset.

It is still easy to assume that at some point they will get used to the idea.

But it's also fun to think that those who are openly overprotective of Omega are her friends, like the Ghost Crew and people from the rebellion who are prepared to destroy anyone who makes the ray of sunshine that is Omega cry (Especially Hera, who I'm 100% sure she's the type of friend who HATES her friends' boyfriends and threatens them).

Bad Batch Memes!

I don't know what to say, but that is not the same skin color. These are only one shot apart, so the lighting isn't different either.

I already knew that the whitewashing was bad, but they really keep outdoing themselves. And even between the clones, as if they're not supposed to look the same.

Echo is the worst obviously but i guess he's supposed to have lost all his melanin, even if it doesn't work like that.

Omega with the light blond hair is really just a little white person. They could at least given her some black hair, but i guess you can't join the bad batch if you have black hair (none of them have black hair).

I don't want to say anything about Kanan, it's just sad.

At this point i really want to thank all the people who make edits of the clones with their actual skin tones.

- like seriously, after a mission, he used to dump his stuff on his bunk, find a secluded spot and just let the lyrics wash over him

- his brothers secretly all know how much he likes their songs, because when the others play ABBA, he just smiles to himself because he knows every lyric, but can't afford to embarrass himself.

- he loves 'why did it have to be me' but there's one that really hits home to him now with him being a buir'

-Guessed yet? it's 'slipping through my fingers' that has hunter tearing up every time

-he just imagines omega as the song plays and oh it hurts him so, so much ;-;

. he points out the historical accuracies (and inaccuracies, he's tech after all)

. he even hums it to himself when he's distracted

. with the other songs, he doesn't mind them, but for tech, there's just something about songs about history ( yes that means rasputin by boney M fits that category- but that's for another time)

Wrecker

- oh boy, where to start with wrecker

-he loves ABBA and it not shy to show it

- he just belts the lyrics wherever he wants, whenever he wants

- well, the lyrics he knows anyways

- his favourite would probably be 'super trouper'

- easiest to remember in his opinion

- but he thinks 'the winner takes it all' is too sad so he refuses to listen to it

Echo

- in terms of music, echo seems like the guy who prefer calm, laid back beats to bands like ABBA

- but that couldn't be more wrong

- in his 501st days, him and fives sang to 'dancing queen' on the daily, coordinated dance moves and everything

-but now he can't really bring himself to listening to that, though he doesn't tell anyone else that

- his new favourite is 'our last summer'

- it reminds him of his 501st days without him sobbing his eyes out

- its just the right type of nostalgia for him

Crosshair:

- crosshair says he hates his brother's weird music taste

- but that's just words

- he often subtly taps his foot to some of the songs

- for others, he justs sit back and watches tech, wrecker and omega take the floor, even fake clapping for them

-but being completely honest, it's not completely fake

-but listening to that much ABBA means that he'd certainly have a preference

-namely 'the winner takes it all'

Omega

Omega was probably unfamiliar with music, as kamino probably didn’t allow it

But that changed with the bad batch

She was introduced to ABBA by wrecker ( i know hunter wanted to, but wrecker beat him to it)

Needless to say she loves it

her favourites are ‘angeleyes’ and ‘mamma mia’

She actually sings them well ( omega can sing like an angel and i will die on that hill)

She also played ‘dancing queen’ but saw that echo was upset so she switched the song

Wrecker and omega love singing to them, and omega hums the lyrics all. The. time.

So those are my headcanons about the bad batch and ABBA, and they’re just a little cursed, but mostly wholesome. Idk the idea of the bad batch listening to music and actually enjoying it is the purest thing and i had so much fun writing this

The Bad Batch with dancing

this is inspired by the match-up the lovely @jt-artsandfics wrote for me, and the idea of a dancing wrecker kind of flourished into.. well, this!

Hunter

-Hunter, to me at least, would strike me as the best dancer of the bunch

-but ding dong that is wrong

- once, hunter tried for an undercover mission on kantobyte

- he doesn't want to talk about it...

- his legs just do not cooperate, flailing about and crashing into his partner

-the others never let him live it down

- 'Hey hunter- i don't think your dance partner appreciated the black eye much!' to which hunter gives one of his deluxe death stares

-hunter does not enjoy dancing whatsoever, but unfortunately, omega really does

- which he doesn't get, but supports her nonetheless

- perhaps he just needs the right partner to guide him through the motions

Tech

- prepare to be amazed..

- TECH HAS MOVES

- to him it's all patterns, so its pretty easy for him to pick up on

- he's also very light, giving him agility for some serious breakdancing

- tech favours fast pace dancing, it challenges his cognitive abilities (he repeatedly insists that)

- he tried teaching hunter and the others, in true tech fashion, but that didnt work

- he needed a new pair of goggles after that

Wrecker

- wrecker loves to dance, and is actually pretty good at it

- as a cadet, he watched some holovideos of dancers, and how quickly they maneuver, and the only thought that crossed his mind was 'huh. i can do that'

- but he needed a partner, so crosshair had to do

- wrecker learned to samba, foxtrot and jitterbug like a champ

- once he found out that tech could dance too, he was relentless

- 'tech can i dance with you???' 'no,wrecker. ' 'Awww come on please?' 'NO' ‘PLEASE, I SWEAR IM GOOD’

- Finally, tech agreed and hoo boy, that was certainly not a mistake

-They complimented each other perfectly, working like a well-oiled machine

-Wrecker also loves doing group dances, ones with minimal effort so he can do it with all of his brothers ( 🥺...i know)

- And they all do it with him, though reluctantly

Echo

-Echo is a dad dancer and that is a hill i will die on

-When music plays on the havoc marauder, he may not be the first one dancing, but he certainly enjoys listening to it and maybe have a bit of a boogie to it ( for non brits- boogieing is dancing in a slightly awkward manner)

-He was always like that though, and the bois in the 501st were just as bad ( with exception of hardcase, fives and jesse- but not rex, he was a dad dancer no. 1)

-He doesn’t really have a preference of music to dance to

-Echo likes it all

Crosshair

-crosshair doesn’t dance.

-At least, that’s what he wants the others to think

-In truth, him and wrecker used to watch holodances all the time

-while wrecker loved watching the partner dances, crosshair loved the ballet

-when he’s alone, he sometimes just lets himself slip into a pas de bourree, then a glissade .. the rest is classified

-He is actually a ballet nerd, he knows every term and knows exactly how to execute every move perfectly

THE BAD BATCH AND THEIR GENDER/SEXUALITIES 🏳‍🌈

im feeling especially fruity today, and i decided to do something fun with it. pretty sure this has been done before, but still, yay for gay space dads!!!

HUNTER

-this man is not straight in the slightest.

-elaboration you ask?

- i headcanon him to identify as a queer genderfluid person

-he thought he was straight until he saw Anakin on the mission in clone wars season 7 and his mind just went 'oh FUCK-'

- he experimented with bisexuality before deciding he'd stick with being queer

-he's now come to terms with being queer, and he doesn't really give it that much thought

WRECKER

-this dude is, in my opinion, aro/ace as HELL

-he probably asked tech where babies came from and he was never the same

-i mean he's still sex-positive, but he'd much rather be eating the space equivalent of garlic bread while wrapped in a blanket burrito

-when anyone flirts with him, he is CONFUSED, like 'no thank you, i want friends and arson'

TECH

-chaotic panromantic demiboy!!!!!

-he's slightly sex repulsed, which used to confuse him because in his studies, it says intercourse is natural and sometimes pleasurable...

-which, to him at least, wasn't the case

-but he knew that he didn't care about gender when it came to love

- he eventually came to the conclusion that procreation is not inherently the key to everything

-i'm so proud of them

CROSSHAIR

-🎶it aint no lie, baby, bi bi bi🎶

-this dude is bi as fuck

- as for gender, crosshair just said yes

-he, she, they, anything at all

-they also simped for Anakin on skako minor, but unlike hunter, crosshair knew he was bi since she was a cadet (crosshair knows ALL)

ECHO

-my boy echo is a demisexual homoromantic

-but he was so used to being among his brothers, he assumed he wasn't anything more than straight (even though the clones aren't straight either and it's the kaminoans heteronormative bullshit that represses them in terms of finding their identities)

-but after being freed from skako minor, he decided to try to find himself

- HE DID and he feels great

OMEGA

-omega is a mtf trans lesbian

- she figured this out with the help with the only not-complete-arsehat kaminoan nala se when she told her she didn't feel like herself

- nala se was actually super supportive, but she wasn't a patch on the bad batch *it rhymed!*

-she still thinks she's got some time to finish discovering who she is, but for now, this is who she is

- the bad batch are so proud of her :')

the way they naturally fall into eachother's roles when the other isn't there.

the instinctual head-tilt when Crosshair stabilized his rifle on Tech's shoulder, as if they'd done it a thousand times before.

It's the fact that Tech clearly told Phee all about his brother.

It's the sad, fond smile on Crosshair's face when Omega said Tech made her memorize all the plans ("of course he did").

It's the way Tech knew exactly where to look for that mirror.
