Wei Wuxian and his murder children

Au where on top of A-Yuan Wei Wuxian ends up adopting all the murder gremlins in the show. Mainly because the author would pay cold hard cash to see Wei Wuxian, on his Yiling Patriarch days, storming a Discussion Conference, with A-Yuan in his arms (teething on the Chenqing), Mo Xuanyu hanging from his back (cause he's still shy but the goblin energy is slowly coming out and he wants to be included), and Xue Yang being dragged by the back of his robes (because if he can't be a serial killer he will be a serial pickpocket and no one can stop him). The paleness, trembles and twitches have less to do with the demonic cultivation and more with the fact that he is suddenly the father of three.

Why they stormed the discussion conference is anyone's guess but the author suspects it has something to do with the kids. Maybe one of them tried to steal Zidian the last time Jiang Cheng visited. Maybe the kids missed their other dad and tried to run away and find him and Wei Wuxian tagged along (read: found the older two had grabbed his baby radish and disappeared and flew into a panic).

Meanwhile, Xue Yang is in the background excitedly showing some of the other junior disciples (he is Wei Wuxian's disciple and he WILL bite you for saying otherwise!) this new method of cultivation they have been developing that essentially boils down to using necromancy to just...Not. Let. A. Plant. Die. In his case it goes something like this:

Or if he simply slipped off into the night.

Either way, he still shows up.

Less haunted, less sad.

A white-clad enemy in tow.

Stoic, sensible, and irrevocably in love.

And the villagers think: "At last, our little Yiling boy, has a home and a family. No more cold nights, no more hunger, and no more dogs."

Now the threat of that family being ripped to shreds, is all but likely.

Safe, because of their reputation.

Because of their power.

Something Yiling wished the remnants had had, once upon a time.
