I was down at the grocery store earlier and they were totally out of anything resembling disinfectant, so for anybody in the same situation stressing out about COVID-19 here’s a PSA.
I used to work in a microbiology lab that studied the kind of bacteria that can actually kill you, and had the whole rigmarole of “how to not accidentally cause a disease outbreak” training while I worked there. You know what the standard disinfectant is for wiping down a lab bench on which you’ve been working with actual tubes full of live pathogens?
1 part household bleach and 9 parts water in a plastic spray bottle.
If you’re the kind of person who cleans with bleach this is probably barely going to look like anything (because basically everyone who uses bleach to clean uses way more than they need to), but trust me, this is what scientists who make their living handling germs that can kill them consider an adequate amount of bleach to kill absolutely everything.
Just don’t use it immediately before or after other cleaners because bleach loves to react with things to make noxious gas.
P.S.: Plain old soap will also reliably kill coronavirus.
write as much as you can about them, use random prompts, write aus, this will help you to get to know them
in terms of how they interact with other characters, let them have similarities, but show their differences, highlighting contrasts is always fun

Day 29 - Psychosomatic Bullshit
Post-migration for those still with a Mojang account
I haven't seen much talk about this yet so I figured I'd write a post about it. If you were unable to migrate your Mojang account you can still play the game without purchasing a new license provided you take action before 18 December 2023.
There is an article about it at the Minecraft Help Centre. All you need to know is under the first section, titled "I missed my chance to migrate. What now?"
Do keep in mind that this process is not the same as migrating. All you keep is your license to play the game. You will lose your username, skin, and anything else associated with your Mojang account. Usernames from Mojang accounts will be freed up at an unannounced later date, so you can try to claim your username at that point.

shower. not a bath, a shower. use water as hot or cold as u like. u dont even need to wash. just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. sit on the floor if you gotta.
moisturize everything. use whatever lotion u like. unscented? dollar store lotion? fancy ass 48 hour lotion that makes u smell like a field of wildflowers? use whatever you want, and use it all over.
put on clean, comfortable clothes.
put on ur favorite underwear. cute black lacy panties? those ridiculous boxers u bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? put em on.
drink cold water. use ice. if u want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.
clean something. doesn’t have to be anything big. organize one drawer of ur desk. wash five dirty dishes. do a load of laundry. scrub the bathroom sink.
blast music. listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.
make food. don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. take the time and make food. even if it’s ramen. add something special to it, like a hard boiled egg or some veggies. prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.
make something. write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. even if you don’t think you’re good at it.
go outside. take a walk. sit in the grass. look at the clouds. smell flowers. put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.
call someone. call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. talk to a stranger on the street. have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. if you can’t, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. even if you don’t say much, listen to them.
cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. take pictures of them. talk to them. tell them how u feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out.

it's 2024 and people are still accidentally deleting their ENTIRE tumblr accounts while trying to remove a sideblog, so... a PSA.
do not "delete" the sideblog. you have to change the "members" (admins/mods) of the sideblog to zero.
you can either do this by removing yourself from the list of members, or if you want to be extra safe you can add a burner account (ACCOUNT. NOT SIDEBLOG) as one or the members and THEN remove yourself
or, to be even safer, just set the sideblog to "password protected" - which means that no one can view it.
this website is made out of duct tape and it is very likely that if you try to delete a sideblog, you will delete everything.
what does it mean to be mspec and gay/lesbian? like does it mean, homo-romantic bi/pan/poly/omni-sexual (or vice versa)? or bi/pan/poly/omni-romantic and homo-romantic (or sexual) at the same time? or both? ???
there’s a few meanings!
1) (mspec)romantic + homosexual or homoromantic + (mspec)sexual
2) being attracted to multiple genders, and because of your own gender, you’re gay for all of them
3) being mspec, but highly prioritizing or much more strongly feeling your attraction to the same gender to the point that gay/lesbian fits you a lot of the time
4) using the historical, non-exclusionary definitions of gay and lesbian and thus being gay/lesbian because you’re mlm/wlw/nln
5) having a fluid/flux/flexible orientation (typically in this situation, the person always or almost always feels mlm/wlw/nln attraction and sometimes is attracted to other genders, but it varies)
6) (i’ll use lesbian for this explanation, but it also works for gay) being attracted to women and nonbinary people/certain groups of nonbinary people (such as unaligned enbies or demigirls), and though you consider your attraction to all of them to be lesbian, you also want to acknowledge that you’re attracted to more than one gender
7) i’ve seen this one less, but i have seen some gays/lesbians use mspec gay/lesbian labels because they had a partner come out as trans (as in, they were in a lesbian relationship but the partner came out as a trans man, etc) and though they still identify as gay/lesbian wrt all other situations, they’re still attracted to their partner and recognize that that makes them mspec
and there could be more, but that’s off the top of my head!

people who "believe" that abortion is murder don't actually think that. a quick scenario as to why:
you get close with someone, and are hanging out alone together, no one else around. this person, after hours of talking, looks you dead in the eye, and tells you this, "two years ago, i killed a baby,"
you're immediately afraid, and as quickly as you could, you excuse yourself from the conversation. you get out, and drive away. somewhere safe. maybe call the cops, go over to a loved ones house, feel so anxious and panicky at the reveal. your friend had murdered a child, a helpless infant no less.
now, imagine if that person says to you, "two years ago, i got an abortion," same situation, different meaning.
you might feel bad, compassion, even disgust, but you won't fear for your life. you might support the friend, or have a fall out with them, but you never once are afraid for your safety.
that's the difference. you might say that "abortion is murder", and might legitimately believe it. but deep down, you know it isn't true. because abortion and murder aren't the same.

idrk how to answer this but most of the time I'll find some official references of the character i want to to draw and try to understand their basic outline first.

and faces are just simple shapes. if you have a hard time understanding references from the comics, then suggest you try to find out how others draw the characters you wanna draw and experiment em cus thats what i do sometimes.

are there any HH characters you absolutely will not draw? I want to check before I send anything
Ooh good question..since I technically haven’t watched the Hazbin series yet, I can’t really give a definitive answer yet. The only character that comes to mind that I will not draw is Valentino (for obvious reasons).
Additionally, I know there’s other characters in the series aside from the main gang but I don’t feel like I could draw them because I haven’t seen the series.
So to clarify, the characters I can draw: Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, Angel Dust, Pentious, Cherri, Rosie, Niffty, Lucifer, Husk, Vox, and Velvette.
Anyone else who I have not listed, I will not draw.
What drawing program do you use and what brushes?
I use Procreate! Most of my linework is done with the 6B pencil at 64% stabilization, I colour with that one sometimes too but I also use the hard airbrush for colouring. For writing I use the script brush at 57% stabilization :)
